      Yes, this was extremely necessary.

      Feminists use sex as a means of control. By exciting it in a movie, it makes them more powerful to entice men with it in real life. Real modern feminists have no qualms with overt displays of sexuality and nudity, indeed, they encourage it as a form of female empowerment (to which it is in the sense men will do anything and adopt any belief to achieve this end).
