>finished s2
>s3 goes pants on head moronic into the real world
should i just drop it? i really dont care about what happens out in the world, i had my own ending worked out by the time s1 ended back then, i didnt even think they were going to do an s2
>I really dont care about what happens out in the world
You're gonna love season 3 lol
in "so bad its good" kind of way or actually?
No, season 3 is garbage man. Its 90% 'in the real world' and the plot just doesnt hold up. Honestly given your description of your experience with season 2 I think you'd drop season 3 like a bad habit. Season 4 gets a bit better (so far), but IMO it's not worth enduring 8 episodes of wiener and ball torture to get there.
well that sucks
got anything else to recommend?
Nothing really fills that Season 1 Westworld shaped hole anon. Maybe try Lost if you haven't seen it, but you probably have.
isnt Lost complete garbage?
but i can go for any sci fi to be honest, i watched death love + robots, black mirror, black mirror: sex edition
i just want to watch good scifi i dont even care if it has the same themes to be honest
i just need something on my second monitor
Westworld always looks great, it's just that the writing which was great in S1 took a tumble in S2 (too convoluted, but still some superb episodes) and a further tumble in S3 (nonsensical action schlock). S4 looks like an improvement. But sci-fi's always have convoluted poor writing, it's WW S1 that is an exception and people get frustrated because they could never match it again.
eh thats not that bad then i guess
i watched s1 back when it came out so its not like im that attached to it
Raised by Wolves. Decent first season and a garbage second season so you'll get that Westworld feel.
the only people who think Lost is garbage are complete midwits.
they admitted they were completely making shit up on the fly though
That's why it fell off after season 2. But again it was still worthwhile.
>isnt Lost complete garbage?
LOST was kino for the first two seasons. It falls off after that but it's still good.
>muh kino character drama ending not appreciated by midwits
shut the frick up
Just rewatch SG-1 and 90s Star Trek. The Lost City: Part 2 was pretty much the end of great sci-fi on tv.
>SG-1 and 90s Star Trek
Cringe
Most people dropped it at season 2. Anyone who didn’t dropped it at iphone find me a job
>dropped it at iphone
wat
Shoulda dropped it at s1 knowing how shitty it got
so whats a good scifi show nowdays
No idea
>so whats a good show nowdays
No idea
I actually just watched the first few episodes and I cannot tell if I like it. The premise is good, but it feels so god damn slow...
I understand they are going for a certain theme, but does the pace change at all?
Yes it ramps up after a few episodes. Just watch Season 1 and call it a night. The ending to season one can be viewed as a conclusive ending.
Ok thanks senpai, here's a picture of my cat
The writers got annoyed that people online had managed to guess some of the major twists in season one so by the time the wrote season 2 they responded by making the boringest least comprehensive or interesting season of a tv show ever. The only good episode of that season doesn't follow the main characters or their plots at all, everything else is forgettable fricking shit
japworld was cool
No. It had the potential to be good but making it a lazy rehash also made the episode boring. And the Zoe Saldana b***h is beyond annoying.
I actually gave up on season 2, but I really only watch it now because Bernard is cool. Didn't watch S4 yet.
bernard IS cool
Sometimes I look at actors IMDB and look at the first thing I saw them in. For me it had to be Young Indiana Jones:
for me, it's Basquiat.
drop it
>s3ep2
>nazworld
let me guess, they are going to show them comically cartoonishly evil and the black woman will save the day
How is s4 shaping up?
there's some S3 cringe, but some very promising plot threads. Old Dolores is back and the aesthetics are great. it's promising.
>my brain my choice
ugh
look at the drawing, the implication is that machines are in control of people's actions and most humans are not even aware of it. the opposition is trying to raise awareness.
Right i get it. It's just such a frank allusion to the abortion debate. Which I support, I generally think abortion should be accessible. But that's just flaccid fricking worldbuilding IMO.
