She was summoned with glob's magic. Glob breaks things down to their original components, and she removed the magic from winter king's crown like glob did with ice king's as Simon Betty and Finn were being digested. Could be connected to that. He summoned tiny globs.
I'm also not sure he's in any danger considering Betty made a wish to protect him and keep him safe while becoming glob. It's possible he won't be able to die ever period.
I genuinely enjoy how this series is using the mechanics of the lore. I wish I could articulate that better, but I really like the writing so far.

The only explanation that makes sense given this is a recurring thing is that they have an uncontrollable and random mundane-ifying quality

This, It's likely a carry-over effect from their universe existing in Simon's non-magical head. They're mundaning things but the rate of it seems to vary. I'm certain in time we'll find out why it's not always consistent, but otherwise I'm certain it's from their universe being non-magical and them coming from that.

Simon survives and finally makes peace with the whole Betty thing to move forward in a bittersweet outcome. Not sure how the Fionna world will ultimately work out whether it gets linked to the multiverse proper, Aaa gets incorporated into it via Simon finding a healthy balance with magic, or whatever. I have a feeling that there will be some paradoxical shit with Gary somehow wishing for the AT world given the nature of the Time Room so they are intrinsically linked into each other's creation.
Anyway, it ends with Simon finally opening up and really moving forward will all this bullshit behind him. He'll give a now signed F&C book and the hat (maybe signed by Fionna) back to the fangirl and hang out with people (Finn, PB, Marceline, as well as future humans and others) at the bar as the Cheers theme closes the season.
I personally feel he will somehow end up in the 1000 year time skip Ooo somehow but yeah.

I feel together again is the only special I really care about. It definitely had a level of tragedy but hopefulness and ephemeral vibe that made OG Adventure Time. Also think it benefitted from it just being finn and jake no characters for the tard writers to make shine more than them or focus on more like they've done with PB and marcy at times. It was really a nice special feels like the only one we needed also love the lich was in it feels like he's really their final boss/inevitable boss.

The show's success is pretty insane when you consider it casually assumes you've seen all of AT and Distant Lands in order to understand the plot and characters, it's not friendly to first-time viewers at all, which was a huge gamble but it paid off

Her mom died of a sickness and Hunson was absent for majority of her life until Simon summoned him to look after her

Well he did say long time no see when he saw her so he most likely knew of her but was too busy to look after her
So, Marcy's Scrapbook is purposely vague (and potentially non-canon with new lore, but I don't think it contradicts anything) and it uses Simon's madness and Marceline being a child to smear the timeline, but kinda explain it, so using what we know from the flashbacks in Obsidian
Marcy's Mom was just into the occult, for some reason, and that's all we know. Apparently, she didn't have the ability to summon Hunson, but thought that was Marcy's only chance of survival, so was actually looking for Simon (having read his books on the occult and thinking he could summon Hunson)
Marcy's Mom starts to croak, so she leaves a note (and photos) in Marcy's's pocket asking whoever finds her to look for her father and leaves her at the bunker, dying in the wilderness and a few days later a Bored Marcy wanders off. Simon finds her a few days later, asleep in the toy store and feels like he has to take care of her.
Simon slowly gives into the madness while raising Marcy the next few years, before sending Marcy away for good, he has a moment of clarity and realizes he and Betty did some research on Hunson and remembers how to summon him, and tries to now that he's magic - but immediately loses hold of reality when he makes contact, and doesn't recall what happened. Simon gives Marcy a letter explaining everything, and bolts.
A few weeks go by, and Marcy meets some Werewolves (who help her realize she's a pre-teen/teen) and they summon Hunson (who immediately eats the wolves) and he tries to be all buddy buddy with her. They hang out 9 days, Hunson rubbing her the wrong way. She asks about her Mom, but Hunson keeps avoiding the subject but what he does tell her is fucked up to the point Marcy doesn't know if she can believe it. After the Fry debacle on the 9th day, Marcy sends him back to the Nightosphere, but he occasionally contacts her in dreams (which she thinks aren't real) and it's implied doesn't seem him again until Finn summons him.

A few years into their adventures, Simon starts seeing ghosts and first thinks it's the madness but then realizes they're real, but they kinda fade in-and-out of existence, having Simon think their molecular structure vibrates between realms, and something has allowed them easier passage.
A while after this, Simon meets a Demon from the Nightosphere while scavenging (first believing him to be a mutant) The guy tells him that he's just been chilling on Earth since the destruction started, and somehow the shit that started the apocalypse on Earth temporarily opened rifts into the Nightosphere dropping them on Earth, and he's just kinda stuck. (He also gives Simon the specifics for how to summon Hunson.)
Simon then theorizes the bombs somehow broke the fabric of reality, allowing Marcy and the Demons in and destabilizing whatever barrier is between Earth and the Spirit World (allowing those ghosts to come through) but his madness overtakes him before he can investigate properly.
Also Marceline befriended a tribe of Werewolves, who the Vampires then started to genocide (Hunson explains their blood tastes better than animals, but not as good as humans, so without a supply humans, Vampires target them) so Marceline asks him to help (Day 7 of them hanging out) and he decided it was kinder to eat the souls of the whole village rather than let the Vampires wipe them out and suffer, especially since he already ate the souls of her other werewolf friends and now their souls are reunited inside him, but Marceline doesn't believe him.
Also kinda funny it wasn't the Genocide of her friends that was the last straw for Marceline, but him eating her fries two days later.
She found the fries after scavenging the Werewolf encampment after their deaths, which was just a portion of an abandoned city. She found a bag of frozen fries in the back of a decrepit dinner and since the supplies and equipment were still there and working, she fried them up herself.

He scared the shit out of a demon then ate said shit.

This of course, would mean that the founders never went to the island, so i'd have to guess that humans somehow continued to survive, because time has advanced enough that Finn is around, even if as a kid.
What i really wanna know is how exactly Huntress Wizard is a human. We know she's going to be fighting vampires together with Kid Finn, but unlike Farmworld or Fionnaworld, the Lich Apocalypse *did* happen, so magic does exist.

my issue is, it seems like they want to do one vignette per episode, so we basically have four stories for this arc to complete. We know "AU marceline demon" is going to be the next one, and I assume the tenth episode will be entirely wrap-up, so there's really only two "slots" left. Long Con, by introducing a legitimate multiverse that doesn't have to rely on the base Universe of the show, they can used the title while completely implementing new characters, worlds, and stories that are thinly tied by tertiary characters and lore.
That being said, they seemingly have some lore planned out with Shermy and Beth from the concept art we've seen, like the leader of the Pup Government taking away the powers of all new born Pups. So, it'll probably go in that direction.

Finn and Jake were squatting in the treefort for years, in BMO's Distant Lands special it showed since Finn was pretty much a toddler when he was at the treefort. This means Marcy probably forgot about the fact she owned it for that many years because she had little reason to stay there. But then one day on a whim she visits and finds that two dorks are living on what's technically her property, so decides to mess with them for fun.

I don't think so, she's noticably curvier which to me implies she's physically older. I beleive how the pups work is they age fast, but each generation down stops aging fast earlier. The first generation of pups aged quickly to adulthood and then age normally from there, while the second generation (Bronwyn) aged quickly to being a teen and then ages normally from there. So she's probably about Finn's age or maybe slightly younger.
I think it's pretty 50/50 on if she's actually meant to look older there or if it's just the way his new artist was drawing her vs her first episode

In a FMA AU I feel Finn would fit best as an Edward equivalent because they are both blond teens who loose an arm and have an absent father figure. Although Jake doesn't match much with Alphonse outside of being a supernatural brother.
