One of the things I'm least looking forward to with this is the change in style and animation that was present in the Distant Lands specials and will be in this that came from the new storyboarders who have a distinctly modern cartoon style that makes it seem like they didn't even look at the original guide on how to draw the characters.
I doubt we'll see it soon. We didn't get to see anything from the last Annecy panel. Only reason we got this 1 second of footage is because max released it as part of the sizzle reel.
Have you seen how many views those YouTube kids clips get?
This is the one policy I can't disagree with, if they want to survive this is what they should be doing
It hurts but it's the truth. Cartoons for 6-14 year olds cannot compete with videogames, internet content, and anime. Those kinds of cartoons should probably stop being made and any new cartoons should more or less strictly target groups 6 and under or 14 and up.
Before anyone cries bloody murder, just know with a policy like this that shows like EEnE or Regular Show would still probably still be greenlit as TV-14, granting more creative freedoms (which arguably might have been bad for Regular Show, they made magic with their hands tied, but I have faith they could have made it work at TV-14). Then shows like Johnny Test would never see the light of day. Everyone wins.
>This all-new half-hour young adult animated series starring the fearless sword-wielding adventurer, Fionna, and her magical best friend and talking cat, Cake. Produced by Cartoon Network Studios, the ten-episode series will explore their relationship and the mysterious land of Ooo. Fionna and Cake – with the help of the former Ice King, Simon Petrikov - embark on a multiverse-hopping adventure and journey of self-discovery. All the while a powerful new antagonist determined to track them down and erase them from existence, lurks in the shadows.
But that's what I'm saying. It could've aired on regular CN like Unicorn or Superman, but someone seriously thinks they need to stuff it onto AS so that they have more time for TTG marathons.
"Young adult series" could mean anything, hombre. The original AT was already skewing toward older audiences by taking advantage of its TV-PG rating, a rating that was unheard of at the time on the big three children's networks.
What could possibly be different about this F&C series?
Possibly an animation consideration, like how they gave Marceline a short haircut for Stakes. Animating shorts is easier than a skirt and you also don't have to think as hard about how shots are framed. I like the shorts, personally.
This time Finn's a woman so she's going to be fine, probably, unless Muto's hateboner exceeds the boundries of space, time and gender. OG Finn on the other hand...
I though Fiona and Cake were literally fanfic characters, why are they with Simon?
They started as fanfic that was used to explore some characters' psyche and their perspectives, since they were fanfics about finn and jake told by said characters (McHale's idea), but after staff reshuffles and when actual fanfiction hack writers were hired(like Hanna k and Aleks Sennwald) they got retconned into canon genderbended AU.
The only writer who said anything close to hating Finn didn't write a single episode where Finn is shited on or made a fool of or whatever else, it's literally stuff that Cinemaphile made up.

You say trend like it was happening frequently when Marcy and PB seldom had episodes with Finn and Jake, much less ones that they are fighting against someone.

Both episodes are notorious for portraying Finn on a negative light, and are considered the most maligned by the fandom among many others from Muto's AT. You're a dishonest cunt trying to defend a pile of shit of what was once a good cartoon ruined by a cuck. Please, fuck off and kill yourself, you worthless shill.

None of the episodes you listed shit on Finn, the closest to doing something like that being The Red Throne, and he is making amends in that episode due to previously fucking up, it is doing the opposite and portraying Finn as a good person who owns up to his mistakes. If it was Breezy and Frost & Fire the examples you cited I would at least understand (Although I would still argue that characters are allowed to make mistakes and fuck up, no person a perfect and that includes, especially when he is a young teen in both of these episodes, bad writing notwithstanding), but your examples make no sense to what you are trying to say and it feels like you are bullshiting your way through this argument in order to justify your overly emotional anger over whatever grievance you have with the writing. Honestly I don't know if it's even worth continuing this, if you are going to act like a screaming infant over this.
The point stands, Muto doesn't hate Finn, he is simply a bad writer, your hatred for him is 10 times stronger than whatever possible hate he might have for the character (which is nonexistent), calm down and take your meds.

>can even be considered "shitting"
If you want me to be more precise, making Finn betray his principles and personality for a desperate dream of a glimpse of pink pussy and later turning him into inconsistent, often incompetent and dumb passive comic relief is what I would call character assasination. Finn isn't stupid, and Muto knows that, Finn is not a worse, less empathic, less caring, even less responsible person than fucking bubblegum by any standards and Muto knows that, Finn is not some manipulative, cruel asshat, and Muto knows that. It's not just about dialogue but story and presentation at large. >much more simple, bad writing
First of all, one does not exclude the other and I want to remind you that Muto isn't some random storyboarder that was pulled into AT from the street during middle of its run but one of three main creators, so no, he couldn't just simply forget how Finn, Jake or anyone else act. He's now the goddam showrunner, and at the end of the day, he, alongside station executives, decides what's in and what's out.

Cool, but none of that happens in the episodes shown as examples, Frost & Fire is where Finn is: >worse, less empathic, less caring, even less responsible person
And, >manipulative, cruel asshat
And one episode is the exception, not the rule, that episode has been rightfully criticized by the fandom at large, every other episode Finn IS portrayed as good, empathetic, caring, and grows more and more responsible (The Red Throne unironically being an episode showing that), he is not manipulative and he is not cruel, it's easy to nitpick, but there is no need to be dishonest. >incompetent and dumb passive comic relief
Only really done in Stakes, which once again is it being the exception, not the rule, Finn does pretty decently before and after it, not as much as in earlier seasons as the show had less fighting as it went on so fewer opportunities to show it. >First of all, one does not exclude the other
It does not, but in this context it is, because all you have is speculation and headcanons about people who you never even met, people can know a myriad of things and still fuck up, otherwise plot holes wouldn't be a thing. >he couldn't just simply forget how Finn, Jake or anyone else act.
And he doesn't need to, he can simply sniff his farts to much and think he knows what he is doing when he doesn't. >decides what's in and what's out.
And he is bad at deciding what's in and what's out, again, Hanlon's Razor, Muto is simply a bad writer, he is incompetent both as a showrunner and storyboarder, but he doesn't have secret evil malicious intent against Finn, that is made-up bullshit.

Muto got to be showrunner because of classic studio nepotism. Of course he didn't forget how'd they act. It's to change their personalities to what he thinks is better after Penn left is the problem. He has no idea why the characters worked so well in Season 1 and 2, or the concept of good chemistry between them.
He's a good writer at stories. But horrible at character development and chemistry.

You realise that Muto storyboarded on like half of season 1's episodes, right? I'd say he has a pretty good idea of the main characters.

>storyboarded >that means I'm qualified to be a writer and a producer
Like I said, "nepotism". I could also say the voice actors has a "pretty good idea of the main characters", but I'd never recommend them to start writing for the show either. Now Muto is a defined hack. A hack who thinks he's better than Penn just by being there at the right time.

Storyboarders are writers ya dingus. Not at all comparable to a voice actor. Not to mention the role Muto played in developing the show as well.
Ward is the guy who asked Muto to take over. By your logic all promotions are 'nepotism.'

Huntress was cool. Her stoic yet quirky personality was unique for the show, and I liked her chemistry with Finn. Not her fault the show ended just as she was getting more attention.
I both want Simon to have a happy ending, and never want to see Betty again or have her saving the world referenced ever again. I know these can't be separated however.
You reminded me of the Marcy and Simon comic where they saved Betty from being Golb in literally two issues.
to make people who liked original AT have an anchor to watch their shit girl spinoff, to know if simon ever gets to be happy since the series finale screwed him hard and left it at that
>Screw him so hard
Yeah, like yeah. They didn't have to imply that he's immortal in those specials, but yeah.
>Betty
god i fucking hated that shit. literally everything was leading up to simon being gone and betty having to accept that but no she literally gets everything she wants before fucking off as a god baby forever
fucking hate that shit fucking hate simon fucking hate betty fucking hate ice thing fuck fuck FUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK.
>I know later Adventure Time had to drop the princess stealing from Ice King's character later on, most likely for that reason.
Ice King WAS a parody of Bowser and Ganon.
They dropped it the moment Holly Jolly Secrets ruined him and Marceline permanently.
Multiverse. Simon from the original show's universe is meeting Fionna and Cake from a universe in which they're real people. I'd be surprised (and disappointed) if Ice Queen didn't make an appearance.
This thing was announced nearly two years ago and I'm still questioning its existence. What is the point of bringing Adventure Time back from the dead for a third time to give the random ass fanfiction (yeah even with their retarded attempts at deep lore Fionna and Cake and co are still character whose original purpose was to parody fanfics) characters a series? Who cares, these are not real people. The show is over, why is this a thing.
Simon is a real person who is involved in this, but it's gonna be even weirder that he's sharing the storyline with fanfics. Imagine if he rescues Betty or has intense character development or some shit while he's joined by Fanfiction Girl Finn and Fanfiction catgirl Jake.
If they try to make Fionna and Cake deep characters and shit, that ties back into it being fanfics. They are not meant to be deep characters they are girl versions of the boys to parody fanfics, why the fuck do they need to be developed it's so silly.
I don't have high hopes that this will be good but even if it is it feels very pointless.
The press release says it's a Max Original. Won't be on Adult Swim

>"Nice! Oh by the way are we allowed to show a girl's nipp-" >"UGH, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?! Don't EVER let me hear your suggest something like that again you psychopath!"
Big Mouth and Human Resources show nipples and dicks constantly, but you guys hate those shows because you can't masturbate to the art style which is really what it's all about, not about hypocrisy in social taboos.
Fired on Mars (another Max cartoon) just showed nipples last month
Most US states allow bare nipples (those that don't all have lawsuits pending), ironically it's federal law blocking it from airing on TV as part of the FCC rules.
Groins are expressly forbidden but transpersons are often used to bypass the rules on nipples because the FCC doesn't want to feel like bigots or something.
Cable is not bound by these rules so in cable cartoons you'll see people walk around in their undies occasionally but generally no nips to avoid parental outrage.
Why are her ass cheeks like that? That's not how butts and thighs work. Also if I remember correctly, aren't Fionna and Cake from Aaa or did they get pulled into Ooo?
>they make a gay himbo sperman cartoon >oh well, i'll see faggy threads when it's on hbo max, whatever >they have it on [as] and toonami >they're making a female lead version of AT when their handling of female characters was largely a problem in the first place, and now they finally replaced finn and jake as leads for a spinoff >think the same thing with ignoring threads when it gets on hbo max >no, it's [as] too and probably toonami at some point
please stop fucking forcing me to acknowledge these dumb female re-oriented IPs. fuck off.
to make people who liked original AT have an anchor to watch their shit girl spinoff, to know if simon ever gets to be happy since the series finale screwed him hard and left it at that
I'd have been excited for this as a short side-piece to the show back near maybe Season 5. Now I regret having to see Adam and any other AT writers work with action female leads. I'm so tired.
I don't visit this board like I used to but...can I get a summary?
Like, I still remember the original draws Nat did of this character...was for a joke? I don't remember.
And now its getting its own series? What pushes it into AS territory? Or is this just how things are now? Like would AT be considered AS worthy now?
Man you've been gone a while. >Nats drawings get made into actual episodes of the show. >Very highly rated episodes. >Adventure Time ends, CN wants to milk this again. >Greenlights a Fionna and Cake miniseries.
So that's it huh? I had no idea that F&C had this much pull still, all these years later.
And yeah, I'm a bit of an oldfag, I still remember when AT was a fresh new show and some of the staff used to come by these threads. I kept up with it until maybe 2014? Lost track of it and Regular Show, never saw either again, and I don't even remember the episodes I watched. Don't know if they aged well either. I don't watch much cartoons anymore.
You left when it was good, and didn't watch either show fall from grace. Although to be fair, the latter episodes on each show were still pretty alright, especially compared to the crap played today.
Planning on uploading my entire Adventure Time folder to e-hentia before this actually comes out. It might still be a small collection but it feel right to do.
Well the size is a bit of a misnomer, a lot of the folders have repeated images due to different folders sharing the same subfolders, like Marcaline and PB both have a sub folder with images with both of them in it.
Also IDK what I'm gonna name it, probably come up with something the last minute.
>the skirt
Skirts are just too problematic Natasha. What if some pantyshot would have slipped in?
Pretty sure when you get an ending it's not considered cancelled
They didn't get the ending they wanted, team had to haphazardly rewrite already finished gumbald plotline finale into series finale, that's why it felts so rushed, crammed and bad. Team members were certain that they would get one more 26 episodes long season.
Even though the later half of Adventure Time had some stinkers, there was still plenty that I loved. I'm sure Fionna & Cake will be just fine, 'specially since they're telling a complete story all in one go.

MY only reasons to watch this are more Fionna/Cake lewds and the possibility of marshall lee and gumball implied sex and maybe a kiss
God I would cum buckets
We also need a fionna and cake version of huntress wizard, so that artist that keeps spamming art of finn railing both versions gets his happy ending for being based
I also need more Ice queen lewds so more of her is always good
No see having Finn and Bronwyn going on adventures together after Jakes passing would be cool and fun and portray Finn in a positive mentor role so they wont allow that sorry buddy.
Sidebar, Fiona’s totally been monster raped before, right?
Like, she was warned about it when she was younger, but one day it happened and it wasn’t anywhere’s near as bad as she thought it would be, and she eventually started enjoying herself.
She now just accepts it as a part of adventuring. When it starts happening, she just stops resisting and tries to enjoy herself, slaying the monster after it’s drained. On safe days she might go alone to new dungeons in the hopes of getting laid. Got herself a tentacle monster boyfriend this way.
This time Finn's a woman so she's going to be fine, probably, unless Muto's hateboner exceeds the boundries of space, time and gender. OG Finn on the other hand...

It wasn't hate, just...just some tough love! All that Finn should have done was to kill himself years ago, for his own good! Coping by reminiscing about happy childhood memories just isn't a healthy way to live!

No, because he wasn't desperately obsessed with seeing jake and actually learned to move on, yet still remembered and cherished him. In together again he doesn't care about anything nor anyone else, he only cares about pulling jake out of nirvana, by scheming or bribery if necessary.

>No, because he wasn't desperately obsessed with seeing jake and actually learned to move on
Except he spent decades obsessed with trying to see Jake even AFTER gaining a family, it took him a long time to come to terms with it after figuring out there might be a way back. You also can't know if Together Again Finn was any more obsessed with seeing Jake or not than Puhoy. It's not like he killed himself or mentioned trying to find ways to enter the dead worlds. He was probably sad for a bit, moved on, lived his life and learned to still cherish Jake regardless. Then got giddy when he had a chance to see his brother again. Together Again wasn't perfect or anything though, I think his immature nature was played up a bit too much, even more with the decision to not mention any details of his life, it was like young Finn transported to the future. I just don't think he was miserable because of the lack of details, everything else points to him being respected and loved during his life.

>trying to see Jake
Puhoy's story was about getting back to old, real world, and not only about seeing jake, so yes, it was understendable. Like I said, it was similar not exactly the same.

Yeah, but we don't know much about his obsession with seeing Jake before his death, so you can't really compare his actual life to his Puhoy life and call it undignified.

Nta, but I'd say more from exploring tidbits of his life without Jake: showing that while Finn was perfectly capable on his own, and that he can manage living an entire life without his brother, he still misses him dearly.
Keyword showing. The most we get out of Finn in Distant Lands before we see him in the dead worlds is a cameo of him with Bronwyn and presumably the moment he died. What his life was surrounding that after Come Along With Me is otherwise pure speculation. Sure, you can maybe glean some details if you really pay attention and connect the dots from random background elements, but you shouldn't have to do that to get the idea that he lived a fulfilling life. It also ends up being free ideas that would be fun to explore and animate that were just left on the table.
Anonymous
We know Finn was fine without Jake. We've been shown enough directly that displays that, not just in the background. There's no reason to believe Finn didn't go through the same realisations he went through in Puhoy just because we weren't shown them, you see how old he is in Together Again, how well he seems to be doing in Obsidian, he lived a full life.
I would've preferred a Distant Lands episode with adult Finn that showed him in his matured stage in favour of something like Obsidian, but making two specials featuring Finn probably wasn't something the writers wanted to do with how they were spreading out the premises of Distant Lands episodes. And like you said it's free ideas left on the table, so I can see them not wanting to mention any details of his actual life in Together Again purposefully, because it could lock them down to adhering to some events that haven't actually been hammered down. It's kind of shirked off as a joke when the guard tries to ask him about his cause of death, and no one asks him about his past life from that point onward until Jake at the end.
Anonymous
>they were spreading out the premises of Distant Lands episodes
I suppose it mainly comes down to me considering this as a mistake. The specials spend half of their runtime covering cute stories of likeable characters, but end up being more standalone experiences than something cohesive with each other. If, by description alone, you were to ask me which I would prefer to see/which I would suggest as a producer to make between what we got, and something that explores various stages of Finn's life after the finale and how he and those around him impact each other (y'know, sort of like a logical extension of the show proper), I'd choose the latter every time. Especially considering that such stories could easily introduce endearing character moments similar to the specials that actually came out.
Being wishy-washy and leaving things open for future exploration only works for as long as you have the reigns. But you shouldn't count on that as a writer, and especially as someone who worked on Adventure Time prior, a show that was already cut short in the past and fell victim to having to immediately wrap up its plotlines prematurely.

I like most of the Distant Lands episodes, but yeah it was sort of a wasted opportunity for what we could have got. Direct sequel episodes during the 1000 years prior to the shows last episode could've been pretty cool, they setup a ton in the finale. >Being wishy-washy and leaving things open for future exploration only works for as long as you have the reigns.
At least the future of more actual AT being produced is still up in the air, but we can't really know if that's a good thing yet. Even in Fiona and Cake though, they might explore the main AT Ooo for an episode or two, you never know.
F&C scuba diving and Fionna coming in contact with an octopus or some other type of sea monster and Cake is trying to help fight it off yelling "Keep those tentacles away from my baby!" or something else she'd likely say.
Other places seem to discuss AT just fine, it's just Cinemaphile who became a shithole for AT discussions due to increasingly schizophrenic individuals who shit up thread after thread, devolving them into the exact same topics and snuffling discussion into oblivion.
>I'm pissed, they'll give a fanfiction version of Finn a happy ending
Of course they'll do, she's a girl. Girls can't be portrayed in a negative light in current year and must get a happy ending, regardless of the situation around them.
People just prefer heroic, honest, strong, noble and generally nice girls like Bubblegum over mean abuser losers like Finn. You should have known that already.

>rather than respond to what people say, you should respond to something different which you imagine they meant
Pretty much. If it's obvious what someone is meaning to say, don't get hung up on technicalities.
Well, have a wonderful day, anon.
You too anon 🙂
So you are saying Fionna will have a lewd beach episode?
Hi Ice King
>This all-new half-hour young adult animated series starring the fearless sword-wielding adventurer, Fionna, and her magical best friend and talking cat, Cake. Produced by Cartoon Network Studios, the ten-episode series will explore their relationship and the mysterious land of Ooo. Fionna and Cake – with the help of the former Ice King, Simon Petrikov - embark on a multiverse-hopping adventure and journey of self-discovery. All the while a powerful new antagonist determined to track them down and erase them from existence, lurks in the shadows.

WELP
>It's another kid's show on AS for no reason
>10 episode run
I am already fucking tired of this shit.
They already confirmed it's not going to be for kids since it was announced.
Then why is Fiona wearing shorts as opposed to her tight mini skirt
Possibly an animation consideration, like how they gave Marceline a short haircut for Stakes. Animating shorts is easier than a skirt and you also don't have to think as hard about how shots are framed. I like the shorts, personally.
I'm only watching for my boy Simon, I hope he gets, the bare minimum, a happy ending.
I though Fiona and Cake were literally fanfic characters, why are they with Simon?
Multiverse shenanigans. As for why Simon's there who knows? Something must have happened
Later episode implies they're real in another dimension
>Executive Producer: Adam Muto
>Shada confirmed a year ago that Finn will appear
I'm going to put a bullet on his head if he shits on Finn again
>Finn turns out to be the antagonist trying to wipe em out
This time Finn's a woman so she's going to be fine, probably, unless Muto's hateboner exceeds the boundries of space, time and gender. OG Finn on the other hand...
>Muto's hateboner
I thought that was the writers that hated Finn and Jake. If not please explain.
The only writer who said anything close to hating Finn didn't write a single episode where Finn is shited on or made a fool of or whatever else, it's literally stuff that Cinemaphile made up.
Muto doesn't hate Finn, you guys are still with this retarded headcanon all these years and it's really really sad.
Shut the fuck up nuATfag
Continue to double down on being factually wrong moron, no, fuck off with your retarded made-up bullshit, Muto doesn't hate Finn.
>Muto doesn't hate Finn
Sure thing, nuAfag. Go back to Youtube and watch Uncivilized Elk or Sarcastic Chorus and keep gaslighting us on how Muto doesn't hate Finn, yet there's conclusive proof that he does.
>yet there's [headcanon]
Muto doesn't hate Finn, you are fucking delusional.
>Muto doesn't hate Finn
Nobody who accepts shit like "rattleballs" or "the red throne", especially almost right after "Puhoy" and "The suitor" has any kind of respect for Finn as a character, nobody. And that's just the tip of the fucking iceberg. I really could go on a long rant but it would be just a waste of time.
Compare this:
To this:
?t=45
That was when I was done and dropped this shit back in 2015, one small stupid scene was the straw that broke the camel's back and I was just so god damn done with this show.
Adventure time
don't grab your friends
They're dykes now so you better keep your distance
With Jake the deadbeat dad and Finn the cuck
The fun's already done
It's TUMBLRfiction time!
>that stupid trend where Finn rushed the monster and jobs immediately so that Marceline can be wanked by the writers
>Marceline can be wanked
Bubblegum*. All that Marceline does during second half of the show, outside of cheesy finale where she turns into giant fart cloud in order to save her mistress, is moping around, singing gay covers, losing and embarrassing herself. Even in stakes she didn't do much other than absorbing aforementioned fart.
You say trend like it was happening frequently when Marcy and PB seldom had episodes with Finn and Jake, much less ones that they are fighting against someone.
None of that specifically shits on Finn or can even be considered "shitting" and the explanation is much more simple, bad writing, not "Muto secretly has a seething hatred specifically for Finn guys! BELIEVE MY SCHIZOPHRENIA!!!!", you are a demented person who needs professional help.
It's a classic Hanlon's Razor
>Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence
Muto doesn't hate Finn, he is simply a bad writer
>None of that specifically shits on Finn or can even be considered "shitting" and the explanation is much more simple, bad writing, not "Muto secretly has a seething hatred specifically for Finn guys! BELIEVE MY SCHIZOPHRENIA!!!!", you are a demented person who needs professional help.
>Shill
>Calls the writing bad
That's some very shit shill you got there mate
Cool, but none of that happens in the episodes shown as examples, Frost & Fire is where Finn is:
>worse, less empathic, less caring, even less responsible person
And,
>manipulative, cruel asshat
I'd say he has a pretty good idea of the main characters.
>storyboarded
>that means I'm qualified to be a writer and a producer
Like I said, "nepotism". I could also say the voice actors has a "pretty good idea of the main characters", but I'd never recommend them to start writing for the show either. Now Muto is a defined hack. A hack who thinks he's better than Penn just by being there at the right time.
Storyboarders are writers ya dingus. Not at all comparable to a voice actor. Not to mention the role Muto played in developing the show as well.
Ward is the guy who asked Muto to take over. By your logic all promotions are 'nepotism.'
NTA but I don't get why people are still angry that the show all about hippie weed philosophy didn't give the mc an idealized heroic ending
Really they're just mad because Finn didn't get the bubblegussy
Even Muto's dad was worried about the way his son kept shitting on Finn.
That literally never happened, you guys are hallucinating shit at this point.
Wrong guy
>All this talk about Muto hating Finn was about this guy instead
>None of the episodes he wrote actually shits on Finn
>https://adventuretime.fandom.com/wiki/Sam_Alden
In fact he wrote the Huntress Wizard episodes and attempted to give Finn a gf before the series ended, wrote some pretty good episodes especially the ones from the Elements mini-series as well, Cinemaphile couldn't be more wrong about someone kek.
>>All this talk about Muto hating Finn was about this guy instead
No, one anon getting it wrong wasn't why people hate Muto.
>Hating Muto for reasons
And
>Hating Muto for hating Finn
Are not quite the same thing anon, but it's okay to admit you are wrong, Muto doesn't hate Finn and there is that
Huntress was a meme character let's be honest.
At least there was an attempt, the guy who allegedly hated Finn's guts did more to salvage his love life despite all the odds than all the other writers at that point in the series.
>Screw him so hard
Yeah, like yeah. They didn't have to imply that he's immortal in those specials, but yeah.
>Betty
god i fucking hated that shit. literally everything was leading up to simon being gone and betty having to accept that but no she literally gets everything she wants before fucking off as a god baby forever
fucking hate that shit fucking hate simon fucking hate betty fucking hate ice thing fuck fuck FUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK.
>powerful new antagonist
Don't get excited it's choose goose
>Ice King
what? what happened to the Ice Queen?
Might've been axed for being one of the few cases of a female character being "too rapey"
I know later Adventure Time had to drop the princess stealing from Ice King's character later on, most likely for that reason.
What's gonna happen is Simon and Simone switching places, and Fionna and Cake gotta swap em back.
>Executive Producer: Adam Muto
Cautiously optimistic…
>Executive Producer: Adam Muto
If he fucks me on this, he's getting the Kaczynski special in his mailbox
I don't have high hopes that this will be good but even if it is it feels very pointless.
>multiverse
Yes, keep following the trend you worthless writers, why make anything original when you can just do another MULTIVERSE thing.
Multiverse already existed in AT since season 4.
It's in the synopsis of this show, it's piggybacking off the trend. Doesn't take a genius to see that.
Can't they just produce a full-length Pibby series instead of rehashing old IPs if they wanna do this
>Executive Producer: Adam Muto
and just like that, my vague interest in this show has officially died
Yea he's a piece of trash. Can't wait to see how he takes this to shit on Finn some more.
The press release says it's a Max Original. Won't be on Adult Swim
https://press.wbd.com/us/media-release/max-reveals-preview-its-originals-adult-animation-slate-annecy-international
>Candy zombies
What is with PB always starting a zombie outbreak
What the FUCK is this body type supposed to be
God, their gonna get rid of all her curves
They gave her a hank hill ass
hink hall
it's the "oh noo I can't draw an ass it's sexualization by the same girls who got rid of the cleavelage in she-ra
You know that conspiracy theory that modern cartoon designs are deliberately drawn in ways that make them harder to sexualize? Yeah.
Sauce? Google Lens ain't giving me shit.
No idea, I found it here
@Simmsyfart on twitter
kek
>assfag has "fart" in their name
what a shock...
Because America
>"Hey boss, can we have her coated in blood and twerking over the corpse of her friend's mother?"
>"Yeah sure. I find that funny for fucked up reasons"
>"Nice! Oh by the way are we allowed to show a girl's nipp-"
>"UGH, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?! Don't EVER let me hear your suggest something like that again you psychopath!"
Fired on Mars (another Max cartoon) just showed nipples last month
Big Mouth and Human Resources show nipples and dicks constantly, but you guys hate those shows because you can't masturbate to the art style which is really what it's all about, not about hypocrisy in social taboos.
>Watches Big Mouth
I am not surprised by a shit take from a Big Mouth enjoyer.
Yo who made that.
Butt that NEVER stopped anyone, so its a situation where everyone loses.
>Butt that NEVER stopped anyone
Lol I see what you did there
>We REALLY don't want you to make suggestive fan art of our characters, but we know you're going to do it anyway.
Man
I WAS PROMISED FIONNA ASS. IT’S NOT FIONNA WITHOUT HER CAKE
I shall make you Fionna ass.
Later.
Surprise. It's actually Finn after a sex change. That's why Simon is walking next to them.
Finn has more ass than that.
>Finn has enough ass to cosplay as Fiona.
Oh my.
He doesn't have enough curves. Or tits.
that's why Finn>Fionna
If its after distant lands, the reincarnation is believable
what the fuck
Safe horny.
#notmyfionna
Wasn't she a preteen?
Nope. Fionna's always been of age seeing as she'd been shipped with Marshall Lee, Gumball, and even Ice King:
. At no point in the original series was she ever dubbed a "preteen."
If they actually nerfed her ass that will be hilarious
Why are her ass cheeks like that? That's not how butts and thighs work. Also if I remember correctly, aren't Fionna and Cake from Aaa or did they get pulled into Ooo?
Wow a Fionna and Cake show, how many years after their first appearance again? Really striking while the iron is hot.
only 12 years.
People who were born when Fionna and Cake came out can vote now
>they make a gay himbo sperman cartoon
>oh well, i'll see faggy threads when it's on hbo max, whatever
>they have it on [as] and toonami
>they're making a female lead version of AT when their handling of female characters was largely a problem in the first place, and now they finally replaced finn and jake as leads for a spinoff
>think the same thing with ignoring threads when it gets on hbo max
>no, it's [as] too and probably toonami at some point
please stop fucking forcing me to acknowledge these dumb female re-oriented IPs. fuck off.
Why is Simon here? That is the biggest question I've have. Could have had anyone else but why Simon?
to make people who liked original AT have an anchor to watch their shit girl spinoff, to know if simon ever gets to be happy since the series finale screwed him hard and left it at that
But I don't see any Cake there
finally, a crumb
Is that the candy kingdom? Pb's not gonna like that.
I'd have been excited for this as a short side-piece to the show back near maybe Season 5. Now I regret having to see Adam and any other AT writers work with action female leads. I'm so tired.
they shouldn'tve brought simon back. it would've been more interesting to have ice king, the actual fanfic writer, interact with his creations
Will she be back?
>Muto is still the showrunner
No.
Does Hunter Wizard count?
Implying that Fionna won't end up with a blue hair tumblr OC lesbian instead of a guy
Nobody cares about her
What if Adventure Time was a girl?
I don't visit this board like I used to but...can I get a summary?
Like, I still remember the original draws Nat did of this character...was for a joke? I don't remember.
And now its getting its own series? What pushes it into AS territory? Or is this just how things are now? Like would AT be considered AS worthy now?
Man you've been gone a while.
>Nats drawings get made into actual episodes of the show.
>Very highly rated episodes.
>Adventure Time ends, CN wants to milk this again.
>Greenlights a Fionna and Cake miniseries.
>Adventure Time ends
gets cancelled*
Pretty sure when you get an ending it's not considered cancelled
I bet those ladder episodes got "high" ratings!
:>
Planning on uploading my entire Adventure Time folder to e-hentia before this actually comes out. It might still be a small collection but it feel right to do.
>A small folder.
>6,000+ files
What will you call it?
Well the size is a bit of a misnomer, a lot of the folders have repeated images due to different folders sharing the same subfolders, like Marcaline and PB both have a sub folder with images with both of them in it.
Also IDK what I'm gonna name it, probably come up with something the last minute.
>Adventure Time from Cinemaphile
>My personal AT collection
All that jazz.
I miss the skirt.
>the skirt
Skirts are just too problematic Natasha. What if some pantyshot would have slipped in?
They didn't get the ending they wanted, team had to haphazardly rewrite already finished gumbald plotline finale into series finale, that's why it felts so rushed, crammed and bad. Team members were certain that they would get one more 26 episodes long season.
>Team members were certain that they would get one more 26 episodes long season.
Arrogant idiots.
I need my man Simon to get some Fionna and Price Bubblegum ass
>Fionna and Cake show
>But by Adam Muto
>And sanitized designs
Why even turn on the TV?
>that pitiful ass
Sad
I'm hoping that's just an art blunder. If they're really going to make her flat-assed and barrel-chested there goes like 90% of the reason to tune in.
why are they afraid of showing off her fat ass
Even though the later half of Adventure Time had some stinkers, there was still plenty that I loved. I'm sure Fionna & Cake will be just fine, 'specially since they're telling a complete story all in one go.
Good point anon, I like to find one or two decent post from time to time. Reminds me that there are still some good to be found here.
I can't stand the cats voice
I don't care about the quality of the cartoon I can't watch it
>no curves
>no skirt
>no tits
Disgusting
Why is the ADULT swim Fionna less appealing than the kiddie one?
Do nuAmericans really?
Because Adult Swim is now Manchild Swim while the mainline CN goes full preschool kiddie shit.
To me the problem looks to be that it's low budget tweening trash animation
>15 year old Fionna is sexier than +18 Fionna
Based, but also what did they mean by this?
Fionna was never 15. Ice King has standards.
14 Year old are OK in Ice king's book. He says he would gladly kidnap FP after all.
Didn’t he kidnap Hotdog Princess?
>giving up on bubblegum dicky before it expires
Ice King was always a chump anyway
Yo is the anon who was working on farmworld cake lurking here?
A suggestion, cat skull instead of dog skull
So Cuck and Jake
Set out to find a new show.
It's gonna be tough
For a male and a dog on their own.
Here's a lonely girl,
Aw, Cuck's stickin' his dick in.
Well, that's a bad idea dude
Cause now that chick thinks you're a incel Finn!
And now they're crying' on the side of a hill!
And thinkin' havin' a fanbase’d be totally thrillin'
Unless they find something inside
Like a mean bubble dyke and her beautiful vampire bride.
If there’s no sex scene then I’m not watching anything. It better be 5min minimum too.
god I want to fuck the shit out of Cake
You’re very brave, anon.
I swear if they give her a love interest with a successful end AND make her a lesbian. Dear God hold me cause i don't know what i'll do
MY only reasons to watch this are more Fionna/Cake lewds and the possibility of marshall lee and gumball implied sex and maybe a kiss
God I would cum buckets
We also need a fionna and cake version of huntress wizard, so that artist that keeps spamming art of finn railing both versions gets his happy ending for being based
I also need more Ice queen lewds so more of her is always good
where's Finn and Bronwyn
this little sight called Paheal
which episode do I start with
No see having Finn and Bronwyn going on adventures together after Jakes passing would be cool and fun and portray Finn in a positive mentor role so they wont allow that sorry buddy.

You're not just gay, you're super gay.
I think in the land of ooo most monsters would rather eat you than tie you up and sodomize you tbh
Hairy pussy? Disgusting
Whoops lol, better watch those typos. Clearly you meant DELICIOUS!
I want to smell it.
Sauce?
It's in the filename.
Requesting Fionna struggling with the heat while Ice Queen smugly shrugs it off.
Stop playing CoC/TiTS.
>TiTS.
What's that?
honestly, I'm only gonna take peeks at episodes just for more cake stuff
I still don't know how they got away with that.
Why do the good times gotta end?
Weren't Fionna and Cake characters from Ice King fan fiction stories?
So simply all non-baby shows are going to Adult Swim?
some tweets from a guy who attended the annecy
Prismo seemed like a given.
So it's less basic than DL's intro
>a strange yellow box
Fake fans I swear
There's more. Looks like this takes place sometime after Obsidian.
Middle-aged Finn here we come.
No, please no. I don't want to see Finn being treated like shit after what Muto did to him in Together Again.
It wasn't hate, just...just some tough love! All that Finn should have done was to kill himself years ago, for his own good! Coping by reminiscing about happy childhood memories just isn't a healthy way to live!
But he didn't kill himself
Exactly, was too much of a pussy even for that and instead he decided to live through his unfulfilling life like a little coward. But now that he's dead he can finally be happy again.
I think it's more likely he just had enough to life for despite Jake's death
>Shows he died doing what he loved until he was basically decrepit
>Future shows he had statue/monument erected in his honor
>Unfulfilling
Chill fag. A dude can miss his bro.
Don't forget
>Probably trained Sweet P and passed down the Night Sword
>Went out of their way to show him as an obvious mentor for Bronwyn
>A dude can miss his bro
And that's totally fine, "puhoy" did a similar thing a thousand times better in much shorter time and with actual dignity.
>with actual dignity.
Because he got to have sex, right?
It's kind of shirked off as a joke when the guard tries to ask him about his cause of death, and no one asks him about his past life from that point onward until Jake at the end.
>they were spreading out the premises of Distant Lands episodes
>TFW im 27 and i have alot of grey hair
Let’s go in the garden…
what's with the super tiny lines? It looks shit and I hate it
Why didnt you also fix the ass?
It's an american cartoon.
They're not allowed to have anything be sexy
nta but here you go
Really not a good sign if they’re seriously afraid of giving FIONNA of all characters “too much ass”
Women can't be attractive anymore. Hense Ice Queen is gone apparently.
Why are these people in charge outward about sexual degeneracy but are repulsed by attractive feminine features?
Cause they have fragile ego and hate the ideal a fiction character being more attractive then them.
Because they don't consider it sexual degeneracy. They consider being gay just as okay as being straight, no more or less degenerate.
>being gay is okay
And so are females with larger asses. no need to castrate them, especially in fiction.
>gays fucking each other
Not sexual competition
>sexy young cartoon girl
sexual competition
Ice Queen will be there, 1 million%
Will she still be voiced by Grey DeLisle?
I don't see why not it's not like she costs a million bucks per recording both session, she voices in a lot of shows
Taking art requests, F&C or vanilla AT
Simon being depressed while Fiona and Cake telling him to cheer up.
That one eggman image of "none of us will be virgins" with finn and fiona.
F&C scuba diving and Fionna coming in contact with an octopus or some other type of sea monster and Cake is trying to help fight it off yelling "Keep those tentacles away from my baby!" or something else she'd likely say.
Fionna in her jammies clutching a teddy bear
Is there any evidence that Muto hates Finn and Jake?
no, it's just schizoposting
>smaller breast
>shorts instead of skirt
Is over bros, i hope the fanart fix this tho
Why would they dress her more conservatively if the show is now AS material?
Male gaze, feminist writers of nuAT don't like it.
Because the current crew hates anything nice.
I'm not seeing the problem with the second one.
Youll understand once you see fionna showing her undies while squatting, bonus points if they draw her cameltoe
>they came for Lola Bunny's boobs
>they came for Fionna's boobs
Who's next?
Does this mean Infinity Train has a high chance of coming back for AS?
Fuck Muto for ruining any future discussion of AT with his shitty choices
Other places seem to discuss AT just fine, it's just Cinemaphile who became a shithole for AT discussions due to increasingly schizophrenic individuals who shit up thread after thread, devolving them into the exact same topics and snuffling discussion into oblivion.
I also tried and gave up to keep as much of the original.
That is actually quite the way it'd be in the original show yeah
Sounds good to me. Fionnachads, REJOICE!
>she's in the workforce
Why can't they just say she's an adventurer?
she's probably some multiverse clean-up crew person ala Loki/Spider-verse; that seems to be in vogue these days
Something something relatable
I'm pissed, they'll give a fanfiction version of Finn a happy ending and a fucking ship while the original is triple cucked and belittled.
I'm the future generation. Explain why it was such an emotional supernova.
Don't care, not watching.
Why are shows very shy about showing underwear in a non sexually manner?
I hope at least Fionna gets a bit more protagonism in her own show.
Why did they get rid the Ice Queen?
They didn't? wtf are people talking about, we have literally 1 second of footage so far
He’s literally me
Yup
Childhood is when you idolize Finn. Adulthood is when you realise Jake makes more sense.
Let me guess, Fiona will be lesbian too?
They won't be real. The entire thing takes place within Simon's dreams.
