First Andor reaction

“I’ve seen the first four and it’s the most serious, grounded thing Star Wars has ever done. It feels more like an English-made espionage thriller than Star Wars. It is totally unconcerned with giving you fan service moments, and instead wants to delve into what it’s like for the bit players in this universe to wake up every morning and go about their day. This is not space opera. It’s more space drama. It’s slow, deliberate, complex (for Star Wars) and asks the viewer to do some work. It actually humanizes roles that are traditionally cartoon evil in the SW universe. It’s attempting to tell a grown up story, and I think a lot of fans are going to haaaate it. “

Imagine the irony if this somehow, against all the odds, turns out to actually be kino, but nobody cares about it because of how badly Disney's fricked the series

Well the trailer had some actual production values and the series in written by the Gilroy brothers of Michael Clayton and Nightcrawler fame, so it should be at least decent.

if it's completely different from current Star Wars I might give it a chance.
    >I think a lot of fans are going to haaaate it.
if they are the same "fans" that loved the sequels and kenobi, then it's a good show

That quote is by a rando on an Internet forum. It's not a corporation, you reactive schizo.

Are you an idiot? Like when TLJ was divisive or when people were complaining about the all female Ghostbuster reboot. "randos" made similar quotes then too. And look what happened.

Not being reactive at all, just saying that when people make such comments about products they are actively trying to sell it is stupid to say something that is clearly divisive like that. You just piss people off.

Loads of media tries to act like it isn't what it is but something more and is ultimately lying.

Nothing conspiratorial about how clickbait media all begins to sound the same. Sometimes it is because they are paid or influenced by companies. Other times it is because of cronyism/nepotism and how those media companies are run. How the advertising/media/hype machine works. You just seem completely naive, like I am point out some deep conspiracy.

All I am saying is, a lot of that language has been used before to describe things.
                >genre media product based on a franchise
                >actually it is super deep and interesting
                >product is just as generic as other products they produce
Seems like you're just falling for marketing.

Nah it was from some ResetEra forum post..

You know you sound paranoid when you say shit like that, right?

Paranoid how? It sounds similar to things people said about TLJ and other things. Don't you notice patterns in how people talk about some of this shit? No conspiracy, just internet idiots sounding the same. And anyone who had seen the first few episode would be repeating the Disney line.

They don't invite naysayers to those screenings
