back then kids and grown men had his posters on their walls and his music blasting about how pussy is the greatest thing in the world, and thought that he was the most gangster, opposite of homosexual in the world.
This is exactly why Tupac was so angry and hated the world. He felt people couldnt understand him or accept him, and he was right, because none of his fans at the time could accept or want believe that he was gay. Being known as gay in his lifetime would have ended his image and success

How do I learn to like hip hop, bros?

Or rather, how do I learn to stop disregarding lyrics in songs? I always just treat the vocals like another instrument and don't care what's actually being said. It makes it hard to get into hip hope, especially 90s hip hop. Am I just doomed to be a moron that can't stop zoning out while listening to music and not hearing any of what's being said?

You've already surpassed most of your peers just by recognizing the problem. Hip-hop is an inherently lyrical genre after all. For start, try to not divide your attention with a billion other things. Just lay down on the couch when you know you'll have a free hour or two and press play. It's not different than watching a movie. Starting with approachable classics (as in not hardcore in terms of lyrical content and listenable even for people whose ears are not accustomed to raw hip-hop) is advisable, for example you can't go wrong with, let's say, the first 3 Kanye albums. In my experience hard-hitting boom-bap or minimalist production can easily scare away newcomers, so it's better to stick to more melodic at the start. The early-mid 2ks has plenty such albums.

Don't force anything, just let things come to your way. I can guarantee there will be lines that'll catch your ears for some reason or another. I can also guarantee you'll surely miss metaphors, entendres, references etc. This is not a problem. Once your ears more "trained" you'll pick up more and more; and you'll able to appreciate even more complex works. For the latter, and I'm a little reluctant to recommend this, visiting the song's Genius (formerly RapGenius) page might not be a bad idea. It's a community-based effort to dissect and explain the lyrical content of songs, which is good for learning new things and picking up clues you might have missed. Keep in mind this should be a complementary tool, relying on it 100% would just slow down your own progress.

Rap was pushed by israelites to demoralise whites and spread black violence. How does a demographic go from the blues, rock n roll, jazz, to hardcore gangsta rap calling their own women b***hes and hoes, bawds, bawds? You go to a club not even the blacks listen to that shit they're playing R,kelly, Usher, B2K. So where did this filth come from?

        Anonymous

        >Rap was pushed by israelites to demoralise whites
ALL degenerate media is pushed by the same group, and it's not about demoralizing white as much as destroying the structures that prevent them from gaining more control, as well as create more of their own control structures.

They have a way of doing things. They cause and create trouble, so that can say to society, hey look as this mess... now here is our solution, FUND our group, so that we can fix(control) it. think of all the societies they've created in order to control society, it's to control the problems they create on purpose. And now you truely understand how they fundamentally work as a group around the world.

There used to be a thriving industry of black musicians recording and performing music live. Then, suddenly, by the end of the 80s, that scene had basically disappeared, and the most relevant black music was composed of sampled recordings from black music's past.

What actually happened there? Where did all the recording black musicians go? It's like all of black music was suddenly frozen in time as a corpus to be sampled from.

Every new generation rebels against the past.
you had the hippies in the 60s-70s with their hippy music, then it transitioned to michael jackson in the 80's. MJ was what happened to black music. Everything before became irrelavent, then it was rock/metal/gayngsta rap, then they just said no more white people are alowed to play music on MTV, so it became only black music.

      Anonymous

      >Then, suddenly, by the end of the 80s, that scene had basically disappeared
I think this has to do with the changes of the music industry itself. Both in terms of tendencies and size. Just take a look at what happened to plenty of soul, jazz and R&B singers who had hits in the 70s (and even in the early 80s). As for live musicians who made a living off touring and whatnot, they've never had it easy.

      >It's like all of black music was suddenly frozen in time as a corpus to be sampled from.
The birth of hip-hop is inseparable from (vinyl) records, so this "corpus" played a crucial part in the birth and expansion of the genre regardless of the reasons behind it's existence. Even if we overlook DJing and the first commercial songs and focus strictly on the sample-heavy 90s hip-hop, you can tell the young producers of the era grew up listening their parent's vinyls. They also learned the technical side (including sampling itself) and made their first beats using said works.

      Anonymous

      >black musicians recording and performing music live

recording and performing music = costs money

who has the money? people with rich parents

that's why all the "indie" musicians are whites/jews.

the reason why hip hop happened in the first place, is that it bypassed paying hundreds and thousands of dollars to record a single album. "sampling" is just music industry cope, they are glorified "covers". Industry stopped caring because they know everything is a remix now. You're gonna hear "shape of my heart" being sampled for the next 50 years so that Sting could afford another yacht.

You know what's the most insane about Apollo Brown? That he's killing these beats with a shockingly primitive setup. Seriously, most amateurs have (or had) better stuff. This video turns 9 years old soon but it'll get the point across:

Yep, that's Windows XP (!) with Audicity (freeware and open-source) & Cool Edit Pro (it's final version was11 years old when this was recorded). Compared to his peers' equipment this is Stone Age, yet it doesn't hamper him whatsoever.

Black folk reached their peak in the 90s.

They had Tupac, Biggie, Jordan, Will Smith.

Now Black folk are annoying even for normies.
Like who do they even have now?

    Beyonce? JayZ? Kanye? Lebron?
    Nobody cares about these people.

2Pac's unreleased catalog is honestly extremely impressive. The man has more songs recorded in 6 years than some artist have done in their entire extensive career. It's almost 30 years later and he has so many unreleased and unheard songs that they could still put out multiple albums of fully completed songs. Like god damn the dude even has clean radio version with alternate verses for released songs we know about.
