wow, trying to see anything like a nipple or bush through her backlit nightie is like trying to make out a sex scene on one of those old scrambled OTA Pay TV boxes. my eyes were straining.
might be completely wrong but based on the first episode I have a slight hope that this season will be less forced lesbian love circles and shitty social dialogue about immigration and more spacekino
Are we ever going to get any information on the shit that was happening in Germany? It was mentioned a few times in S2 iirc but they never state what's happening.
In episode one of S2 the black general guy and Margo were talking and he says something like "Everyone is still on edge after what happened in Berlin."
everything is "fine" behind the iron curtain, there's nothing to inform, like there was nothing to inform on their lost crews on attempting to set up a base on the moon
>Did you forget Russians are the bad guys again now?
LOL, remember in the 2012 Presidential Debate when Romney said that Russia was our greatest geo-political foe, and President Obama sarcastically retorted, "uh, the 1980's would like their foreign policy back?" yeah, good times.
It's true that compared to today's China, Russia is barely more than an exhausted country with a lot of nukes.
The US crusade against that country is obsolete and misplaced. China will just buy what's left of Russia and they'll have a bigger problem.

Who would you rather get into a fight with, a pretty tough guy who will give you a run for your money, or a crazy dwarf with a gun?

I was thinking about this after posting, it makes sense to take out the weak link first, but in Russia's case, I bet offering peace and a new alliance would work equally well.
Russia doesn't like China all that much.
So is the USSR economically liberalizing like China did? Are China going to stay as communist hardliners in the show? The news montage did refer to Deng so maybe not.
>"The hand of God" (Spanish: La mano de Dios) was a handling goal scored by Argentine footballer Diego Maradona during the Argentina v England quarter finals match of the 1986 FIFA World Cup. The goal was illegal under association football rules due to Maradona using his hand, but because the referees did not have a clear view of the play and video assistant referee technology did not exist, it stood to give Argentina a 1–0 lead. Argentina went on to win 2–1, with Maradona scoring a second goal known as the "Goal of the Century", en route to claiming the World Cup.
So in For All Mankind the refs saw it and it didn't count.
First episode is supposed to convince people to watch the rest.
It could well be a good first episode and a good finale and not much in between, like many other shows.

S2 also had big happening in the first episode. We all know how it went thereafter.
>Margo doesn't even realize than she's been spying against her own country for a decade because she's so desperate for the Soviet dick she gets once a year at a conference.
>*Record Scratch*
>*Freeze Frame*
>Yep, that's me

Sadly anon there is only enough money for 2 or 3 space episodes per season.
You will watch the lesbian filler drama, and you will be happy.
Ellen Waverly is running for the Republican nomination, there's zero chance she doesn't get outed.
Oh hell yeah, finally. I'm gonna go torrent this now, I've been waiting for the Mars season.
>Thatcher blown up by IRA
>this is what they took from you

What did they say about that in season 2?

>orange man bad
Aaand dropped.
That seems more orange man good I think, 80s-era pro-business vibe.
Anything short of a Garrison drawing is "orange man bad" these days.
Anon it's evil Trump making friends with the evil Russians
Did you forget Russians are the bad guys again now?

They have to justify the Soviets being economically and politically strong enough to keep on the space race into the 90s
Makes sense, seems like they would have collapsed even earlier if they had a decades long Space Race on top of their defense obligations.
No Afghanistan and no Chernobyl helps a bit.
>every country in America is commie except for Canada and the US
grim lads, very grim...
Wrenn Schmidt is such a babe.
For me, its Shantel VanSanten
Also known as her stage name, Shanten McSantel.
>meanwhile in bizarro Cinemaphile
Absolutely based
explain to the folks at home why this is significant
Not him but bullshit goal by Maradona hailed by his fans as divine intervention or something.

Video refereeing ruined sports, if you can cheat without the refs seeing it then that should be fair play.
S1 was kino, but S2 was insultingly bad. I don't have high hopes.
Checked, maybe season 3 will have less drama and more sci-fi, but same here.
Less Drama… titanicesque event on the first episode

The series should end with a generation ship

What a sad story.
Why were they protesting against helium3?
Seemed like those were fossil fuel workers protesting about being made obsolete.
oh I understand now, thanks
Oiltards seething
Checked, what is this one about?
Ah frick, was going to say a few of the details in the news montage are what actually happened in reality.
That's what happened in real life though, based on my cursory glance at Wikipedia, what details did they change if any?
