I often forget that the Addamses were originally a comic strip, like from Popeye days
What is up with those proportions, Wednesday is built like Elder Toguro.
Animation looks pretty inconsistent
I love this Wednesday. I hate the modern interpretation of her being a moody b***h.
Y?
>badmouthing Christina Ricci
Oh no you did not just do that.
NTA, but as said here
Christina Ricci nailed the take on Wednesday.
The problem is that later adaptations try to replicate, but fail to understand what made hers so effective.
>I hate the modern interpretation of her being a moody b***h
I liked it in the 1991 movie and sequel, but that is because it worked with the mood and setting they were going for in those movies.
Subsequent takes on the Addams Family are very different, thus the "moody b***h" interpreation does not match.

Best designed Wednesday
One of the more fun episodes to watch for animation mistakes is The Puttergeist since you can clearly see the colorists getting confused by Wednesday dressing up like Morticia. At times, her skin tone shifts back and forth every time the camera changes angles.
Rip Taylor was great as Fester.
>Rip Taylor was great as Fester.
Certainly better than Fred god damned Armisen
When did Fred Armisen play Fester?
Wednesday.
And while he wasn't great, I do need to at least respect the man for flat out shaving his head instead of wearing a bald cap.
He did an okay impression of 60s fester
I'll just say, uoh
So adorable.
Agreed.
Wednesday dressed as Morticia awakened something in me as a child.
the fact her brother is dress as Gomez woke something in me as an adult
The lake scene also awakened something in me as a child too.
Is that taken from family values? She wore something like that in the wedding scene
kind of weird having a brother dressed up as his father and a sister dressed as her mother
>The Puttergeist
This episode and the one where Gomez and Morticia replace Cousin Itt as secret agents are probably my favourite episodes.
This one in particular, kid me was really surprised when it turned out Puttergeist was Norman Normanmeyer.
Wednesday is the only reason to watch the show. She's cute
>she's cute
Proof?
I dunno. Having John Astin back as Gomez has its moments.
>STILL not on Max
The series is probably tangled in copyrights like the 80s Pound Puppies series
90s kino.
Absolutely loved this series as a kid. Rewatched it recently & it still holds up. It's the one Hanna-Barbara series that felt nothing a Hanna-Barbara series.
The art style for this looks so John Dilworth inspired.
boring as frick character designs
It was the first thing I ever saw on Cartoon Network.
