They should remake Birds and make it found footage
V/H/S is a quinoa franchise but gets worse with every sequel
How worse we talking
The last one was pretty good and better than others in the franchise.
Is 'The Poughkeepsie Tapes' worth watching for someone who's not familiar with the genre?
Yeah.
I watched Deadstream tonight and it was kino.
But my actual answer is Ghostwatch.
Ghostwatch harlem globetrots around most modern ff films. It's not particularly scary, but it doesn't feel like a bunch of theater kids with gopros which plagues everything from BWP on.
I think it's still effective if you show it to someone completely blind. I watched it when I was 13 catching it at the beginning while channel surfing, and jumped off the bed when they panned across the curtains.
I wonder how many found footage films were just an excuse to casting couch 'aspiring actresses'
idk
A lot of them are indie / made by families and friends. No more or less than your average independents.
As Above So Below
The Last Exorcism
Paranorormal Activity 3
Alone with Her
Paranormal Activity 1-3 are unironically good and I will defend them.
Agree. 3 is my favorite and the most scary
REC is still my favorite. I recently watched The Medium (2021). It goes on a bit long, but it's a fun ride. Rural Thailand was a great choice of setting.
>The Last Exorcism
based
Is Claire the biggest bitch in cinema? I have a hard time believing otherwise.
Cannibal Holocaust
/ffg/?
Wtf is that real?
Afflicted
Troll Hunter
Grave Encounters
The nightmare tape segment in '85 has some truly terrifying screams. Good lord.
The Cloverfield of "muh found footage" horror
Pretty sure its a dante's inferno reference at some points.
It's a lion, it's huge?
what the fuck is that even supposed to mean. Cloverfield WAS a found footage film.
Yeah, are you retarded?
I actually know exactly what this Anon means. Still enjoyable though.
85 had too many stories that didn't really get enough time to shine, except for the TechnoGod one which was fine.
That song was a banger though. And while I like Throbbing Gristle and it's always nice to see them, it felt out of place.
I disagree, there is still some value in film produced by bigger budget, As Above So Below for example.
Good found footage short film

FINE I'LL WATCH AS ABOVE SO BELOW
>chatGPT, write me a spooky story in the style of a creepypasta, make it the theme of psychological horror and base it off the blair witch
butterfly kisses was good but there was another one which i cannot remember the name, shot in the desert and it was a fucking waste of time. Thank god I was not epileptic
what's with all these found footage qts
how is a man supposed to stay sane
Has lower ratings than it deserves. Solid stuff.
Alien abduction: Incident in lake county
Is the first and best found footage film.
