I served 6 years in the Navy and I’m glad I did it. Not because of the months at sea or almost dying in stupid situations that sucked, but because of the 100% disability I have now.
I just went to medical for a bunch of shit my last year in, combined with a suicide attempt and I got 100% disability approved 8 months after leaving. Back paid around $26,000 to my EAOS

I’m a civilian so pretty sure I can only get regular civilian stuff. But I’ve never looked deeply into what I can get. Haven’t had any issues buying standard guns.
Did you get seen while active duty? Are you still within one year of your separation date? Have you scrubbed through your record to see if you can claim anything else? There’s a lot of shit you can claim. Find a VA rep or civilian group that will go through your medical file and pick out things you can claim. Use Google for their info.

it isn't actually that easy in real life since they make you do test to prove it. my buddy destroyed his knee serving and told the army they caused it and they basically told him to frick off. he didn't get any disability at all and now has trouble working because he can't use his leg very well

it doesn't matter what your degree is in. degrees are a check the box thing for officers. i got accepted to officer candidate school with an english degree but ended up turning it down because i got into grad school. i applied to both OCS and grad school expecting only one to work out but ended up getting accepted to both
one of the best officers i had when i was enlisted had a history degree. and "high GPA" by military standards just means 3.0 which anyone with a brain can get
to be a pilot you have to be an officer and officers are typically much higher caliber people that enlisted scum who are usually the dregs of society that joined for the bennies and a camaro
officers all had to go to college first and join for the career and not the free ticket out of poverty like the enlisted

No, in real life pilots need college degrees and a high GPA, preferably in a STEM field. Officers are held to much higher standards in the Navy and Air Force. So they’re usually very detail-oriented nerds more than rebellious hazing types.

it doesn't matter what your degree is in. degrees are a check the box thing for officers. i got accepted to officer candidate school with an english degree but ended up turning it down because i got into grad school. i applied to both OCS and grad school expecting only one to work out but ended up getting accepted to both
one of the best officers i had when i was enlisted had a history degree. and "high GPA" by military standards just means 3.0 which anyone with a brain can get
to be a pilot you have to be an officer and officers are typically much higher caliber people that enlisted scum who are usually the dregs of society that joined for the bennies and a camaro

I had to do one of those in elementary school as they were just testing to make sure the kids could hear and try and get them hearing aids and stuff if needed (we had a near total deaf girl in class and she didn't even realize it until that test). Got a hearing aid thing that helped her out which is neat. I mean, not paid for by the school but still good they found it early.
also they issue you ear protection so if you say the military made you deaf they say it's your fault for not wearing your military provided ear protection

I think life is interesting. Nothing stopping you from becoming a real life pilot except maybe age/health. I think my job is interesting most of the time. Plus I have hobbies that I find interesting/fun, even the non-escapist ones like drawing. Just going to a park and watching the wildlife is interesting to me. Even leaving my home is interesting because this time of year there are lots of random insects outside. Its cool to see new ones appear.

zero since enlisted can not be pilots. if someone with a degree does then they might have a chance but have to do officer candidate school instead of boot camp
Keep in mind that even if you manage to get into Officer Training School, and manage to get a pilot job, you have to be the absolute best in your class to have chance of flying fighters. Most pilots will get assigned to drones, cargo, etc
