In no way was The Last Samurai better than Dances with Wolves. Frick off. Kevin Costner's character's motivations were clearer, his romance with the white woman simpler and more romantic. There was humor, great pacing and narration from Costner, the end sequence of him being fully accepted into the tribe was kino and better than any gaijin samurai scene in the entire Tom Cruise movie.
