Future MCU Spider-Man Plans

I previously posted about the early plans for Spider-Man 4 in Oct. 2021 but don't think anyone took me seriously. I heard more details and sharing here:

Oct. 2021 Info:
> MCU Sinister Six is the directive from Sony. Kraven is expected to be the leader and one pitch has him assembling the Six after his solo hunt for Spider-Man fails.
> Kevin Feige is personally pushing for Hobgoblin while Sony is pushing for Venom.
> Marvel Studios is pushing for Hobgoblin as Sony wants a goblin character but both agree Green Goblin has been done to death.
> Sony wants Spider-Man films to continue with Avengers-like crossovers while Marvel Studios prefers narrowing the films to more Spidey only characters.
> Tom Holland personally advocated to Sony about Kraven the Hunter and wants a Kraven’s Last Hunt type of film.
> The sequel trilogy has a lot of influence from The Master Planner saga, Kraven’s Last Hunt, The Gauntlet, and Grim Hunt throughout early pitches.
> Marvel Studios had interest in a gang war NYC based story for Spider-Man. Spider-Slayers or Scorpion (the "spider-slayer") was mentioned for a final battle. Sony pushed back heavily

New Info:
> There is still a tug of war between Sony & Marvel Studios regarding the Spider-Man 4 villain.
> Marvel Studios wants to write a strong story and then find a supervillain that compliments Peter's character arc...Sony wants to insert certain characters and write the story around that.
> Sony wants Harry Osborn in the college trilogy, I heard one pitch included a character named Theo who would be revealed as Harry using another name.
> Zendaya 100% will return but the idea seems to be a minor appearance in SM4
> Marvel and Sony have received the pitches they want to build around.
> The strongest pitch I've heard was a blend of The Master Planner saga & Original Hobgoblin Saga. Sony wasn't a fan but Marvel Studios' brain trust held it in high regard when shared with Watts and Holland.

    Sounds about right.

      >a strong story
      >a story which steals the most famous bits from the comics and other better films which will make the fan-boys chimp out

        >Steals for the comics
My dude. This is a comicbook adaption. Literally every comicbook movie has "stolen" from the comics, even the shit you suck off.

So all the talk about Spider-Man 4 from Raimi and Amazing Spider-Man 3 was nothing then. More gay Holland.

Although he's my least favorite Spider-Man, I recognize that he has put effort into the role

I just typed Jacob Batalon 2022 and he's literally humpty dumpty tier, round as fuck. Just because he can walk on his own doesn't mean he isn't fat

There is multiple characters to choose from. In the original comics it was a mystery who the Hobgoblin was and got stretched out until the story became really really bad. I expect it to be Kingsley but maybe they will play around the fact that some fans might expect this and actually make him Ned or a completely different character.

I believe you. I don't believe anyone would make all that shit up.

    What about Ned

I'd be down for Kraven being the villain of that movie and Black Cat being a supporting character. Have Scorpion be the shitter who gets defeated early on the movie to show that Peter has his Spidey life under control while his personal one has become hell with no one to connect not being able to pay his own bills or even food. This is where Black Cat comes in since she doesn't care who is under the mask which is fine by him but would later become a problem when he's searching something earnest which they have to deal with.

If MCU Venom is there this movie will be fucked.

Judging by the Morbius and the Venom movies, yes.

Despite the running gag about Feige being awful, he has been involved in a lot of these movies pre-MCU, including Raimi's Spider-Man, The X-Men, and so on.
The difference is that now there's a ton of new people at Disney/Marvel who want to run things their own way, and a compromise has to be met. One example of this is Victoria Alonso.
The situation in the comics department is similar, with ideological division among the writers/artists.

It explains the disparity in quality between MCU Spider-Man or for example Thor, Captain Falcon and the White Wolf, She-Hulk and Eternals. Feels like he has more of a handle on Spider-Man because he has an actual deal with Sony compared to everything else where everyone wants to cook something different and he's not trying to burn his fingers.

      It really seems that way.

Remember that MLP movie from a few years ago? Originally Hasbro took it to Sony, and they said they didn't think kids would want a big fantasy adventure movie and insisted on making it more like the Smurfs movies, with the ponies coming into the real world. That was enough for Hasbro to gtfo.

    >You probably know Bad Bunny, the explosively popular music artist that Sony will now tout as the first Latino actor leading a Marvel movie. His casting is somewhat weird to begin with, and yet the character he’s playing is even stranger. El Muerto is a wrestler who has his powers passed down to him generationally.

Didn't hear any names but it sounded like the idea was to have multiple people act as Hobgoblin, with the real mastermind never caught until the final act. Wouldn’t be Ned and likely an amalgamation take on the character.
