I'm still upset that they didn't let Milton Knight work on it
I love Milton Knight but his personality is just a pinch too unhinged for modern studio office atmosphere
These lazy arse LA writer animators are just scared that theys would have to work wit someone with experience.
Based
Industry cringe. They want a safe Millennial Zoomer animation Workforce which was hating on him for saying it's okay to be off "model"
90s animation had way more soul. This feels like Gravity Falls. They could have made a whole series just like the Golden Age as various series of the 90s did, but they didn't want to step up and do it. And with the technology advancements of recent years it should be easier and easier to make a whole series with production value as good as Golden Age theatrical shorts or better
moron Groomer Caps reply.
The Groomer Caps grooming technique is intended to traumatize teenagers on the Internet by thinking they said something stupid, when in reality you're the moron committed to stupidity.
Im not gonna reads that cause of the niece thing, you disgusting arsehole
Didn't read lmao
I was referring to the setup, style and humour of The Cuphead Show with it being like The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, the many What A Cartoon! show.Shorts , Jamal the Funny Frog or even the Spielberg Warner Brothers shows ( Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, Pinky and the Brain and Freakazoid!) as they were 90s cartoons imitating Golden Age cartoons and the Cuphead Show could be one of those in a in universe type fictional world where Cuphead is a major cartoon superstar
>refused to hire Milton Knight
>refused to use hand drawn animation
>refused to have cartoonists control the episodes
this is just a basic arse adaptation, theys even had frickin Kyle Carrozza on, even thats didn't save it.
/v/tards should all drown in piss.
No I’m quite right, look anon
>did you just… say you wanted good animation in a show???? WAHHHHHHH I’M LOSING MY MINNNNDDDD
welcome to modern animation
>2 seconds of the same animation being looped in the game is nicer then a full series of 11 minute episodes with unique animation
>Supposed to be surprised by this
I have Cinemaphileaggots so much they don’t understand even basics of animation
You are aware that the cuphead game is designed to emulate the animation style of an entire era of animated shorts, right? It’s not some impossible task to replicate it
It's not impossible, but no suit is shelling out the amount of money necessary to make it happen.
I see the game as like the original theatrical cartoons while the Cuphead Show being like the 90s TV series and the comics if Cuphead was an in universe cartoon franchise somewhere
>battles that are designed to be 2minute loops of perfect animation for each fight
>hours of a tv series
WOW WHO'D A THUNK IT THE MORE LIMITED CONCEPT WAS EASIER TO PULL OFF BETTER
Classic animation can help a lot to the cartoon to look nicer
But the animation wasn't the real problem of the Cuphead show
>But the animation wasn't the real problem of the Cuphead show
Seethe harder niece fiddler
Game adaptations just don't work. In order for a cartoon to be good a a person got to put a part of his soul into it. Cuphead show was just a cashgrab attempt with no rea; inspiration behind it.
It looks better than 90% of cartoons released since the year 2000. Cinemaphile is just a bunch of contrarians.
From the past decade, that's not a high mark, that's not a mark at all. From the 00s there are plenty of more accomplished and soulful series. This cartoon is not a labor of love, it's a compromise
Conflating the game's animation and the show's animation
Obvious groomer
>Max Fleisher historians praise the game for getting kids interested in fleischer cartoons
>it made more libraries and collectors willing to help preserve his animations when they used to refuse
>shit on the cartoon for the lack of love for animation
I just find it funny
I unironically agree with this bait and I work on the show, so have a (You). Thank you for the free advertising, and I hope you enjoy Season 3 this Friday.
This was posted on twitter already nice try
Only the last clip, the first two are new
This is going to be one of those shows where kids growing up with it aren't going to understand why older people had a shitfit over it and consider it underrated. Enjoy the narrative shift 5 years from now.
Hey, to be fair it's still based on the art style of someone named Max.
