It's absolute kino. It becomes even more kino once you learn Stallone had to come in and edit the movie down drastically so it could play two times an evening to hold its own against top gun. The assembly cut was way longer and had more alleged mind-frick scenes like all the serial killers going about their day jobs and stuff.
I don't know if they even have the original masters somewhere, but it would pretty gnarly because there's so much material there it would become a different movie altogether

the bad guy in this was fricking intense
WASH DAY TOMORROW! NOTHING CLEAN, RIGHT?
there's not much respect for pigs
Watched this as a kid and the bad guys genuinely terrified me
Love this montage
There is nothing more kino than American cities in the 80s.
too many stallone montages to choose from
0:33 one black troony, 0:44 another black troony gay prostitute

Holy shit that all sounds extremely kino. I have a reason to hate Top Gun now.
the 2 hour directors cut would be good
>villains are bad because....they are evil
simple as
ANGEL OF THE CITYYYYY

Yeah well it was Stallone's baby and it flopped, paving the way for Arnold to take the mantle.
it didn't flop
absolute, unironic, KINO
>tfw still no extended cut
Okay, more like this
Extreme Prejudice
Arnold did it better

>indoors
>at night
>while cutting pizza
>with a...scissor
