It was though. It's a reference to Macbeth. Macbeth believes that he can't be killed by anyone born of a woman, only to be killed by a man born of a C-section.

It was in the books. And Tolkien didn't put it in for wokeness, he did it for love of autistic prophecies.

It was. I can forgive PJ because its a relatively minor part of the movies, but he knew he had to pay the woke tax even back then.

Absolutely not. It was a narrative device to further hammer in the idea that evil will falter due to its own hubris, not some silly attempt to push an out of place, unrelated, political point.

Reminder that later on Eowyn admits that this was basically a depressive episode and renounces to all those warrior lady ideas.

She married and become cute feminine women in the end, so it's not woke.

She thought Men were 100% going to lose and she was going to die anyway, so she wanted to die with a sword in her hand rather than spread her legs for the orcs when they come-a-rapin' in the aftermath. Once she didn't think it was hopeless anymore she reverted to based tradfu.

She was basically the opposite of a modern woman, who will say that she wants to fight the orcs until the opportunity presents itself, at which point she will run away, then spread her legs for the orcs afterwards.
Literally, just imagine what a modern woman would do and it's the opposite of what Eowyn did.

if this exact same scene came out today literally everyone on this board would be sperging out about how woke it is don't even pretend otherwise

You're right. The reason it wasn't woke is because the character earned that moment through bravery.

What leftist fricktards don't realize is criticism of Mary Sue writing isn't just misogyny. What truly gets under people's skin is female characters accomplishing things they havent suffered to achieve or demonstrated gradual effort towards before achieving.

      Correct. It is woke.
So many people don't know what woke is.
I had morons on Reddit try and tell me that the Witcher novels were woke lol, only one guy in the comments knew what he was talking about and agreed with me.

The books paint the situation a little different, it all comes from a premonition from Glorfindel, not that the Witch-King is impervious to damage from creatures with XY chromosomes. He basically tells a dude "leave him be, you aren't the one who is going to kill him, that person will be a woman in the future"
Also Merry literally stabs him in the knee with a blade precisely forged to damage the Witch-King seconds before Eowyn delivers the final blow

thats literally what happened in the movie. He stabbed him with a elven dagger and she finished him in the head.

That's nothing compared to the overuse of the army of the dead, they were supposed to just take the ships off the corsairs and be released by Aragorn, not fight in the big battle against the elaphants.

if it was woke, she would have headbutted the witch king after an incompetent man tried to intervene before being one shotted by the witch king. The witch king then cowardly calls the king's guard to protect him where Eyowyn takes down all 6 of them by herself. King tries to escape but Eyowyn channels the power of love into her sword in the form of a lightning bolt and is cat walking away with her back turned as it strikes
