if you asked me last year I'd say 99.99% chance of slop but since they took so long to make the second season I'll hold out a slightly bigger sliver of hope. Thoughever infact I suspect it took longer because of the strike, whatever happened there

last episode gives away that they don't know what to do with it
it'll be a mystery box that ends in even more mystery with a side of slop

i don't understand how someone with the same resources time and money could fumble something like this
unless they feel too pressured to write properly or cave into fan bullshit

it's like an author writing 3 great chapters and the next 3 are total shit
as long as they knew where they were going when they started making it i don't see how it could be anything less than fantastic

      >as long as they knew where they were going when they started making it i don't see how it could be anything less than fantastic
they have no idea where it's going. This is why anthologies/ 1 season and done is better. has a beginning middle and end.

        >they have no idea where it's going
But I think they do. There's plenty of plot threads still left to deal with.

you mean all the plot points?
I honestly want to know which ones they solved. It has been so long since I watched it

They have solved only one actually, and even then they imply there's more to it. I don't think I should spoil them here but Season 1 basically ends on a while heap of unsolved plotpoints.

ya so why can we assume season 2 wont string us along like the first? Modern tv is cancer

There's only two major plot points with Mark finding out about his wife and the innies rebelling that are explicit and they obviously can't ignore those. The rest, are implicit and are just potential ways where the story could go, as they are relatively minor.

so what the job is and what they even do at the job is irrelevant?

Maybe. But it could also be a crucial element of the story that the innies/outies aren't aware yet, who knows. I'm just saying people are a bit too harsh on the show, they have lots of potential in it.

I just dont want the potential to be wasted. Which it seems to do so often in modern shows. That's why we have trepidation.

Well the first season started out strong, and they had plenty of time to refine things in the year gap. I'd rather stay hopeful. There's already enough negativity to go around anyway.

The first season was trash. I watched the first four episodes and nothing happened. All the plot could easily be compressed into a single short episode. They really have a knack for dragging the plot out.

I liked most of S1 very much but it completely lost me when it started leaning into the mystery stuff more. The corpo wagie hell satire works. The BUT WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT??? doesn't.

I think there's a decent balance to be struck with it. The intrigue can lead to more interesting "corpo wagie hell" scenarios as well.

More power to you if you like it, I don't and I have a feeling it will only get less interesting in S2.

I'm more interested in the show's atmosphere and the performances than the actual plot, so I'm not too worried. If it delivers on that I'm sure to enjoy it at least a little.

It's a mystery box show so second season will probably be bad.

I think it will be good, but the eventual ending will undoubtedly be disappointing.
