God damn. The last two episodes of the Shield were some of the most harrowing television I've ever watched.

Criminally underlooked show. That final season is probably the greatest series of television of all time.
The Shield is universally praised and very well known.
I wouldn't say greatest series for me personally but still in top 10.
All people need to do is watch the first episode. It's probably the most powerful TV episode of all time.
It's good, but definetly a B-tier show. Vic and Dutch are the only really interesting stuff. The Danny/Aceveda/Julian/Claudette stuff drags the show down.
Danny and Julien I might agree, but Vic Mackey is one of the all time great television characters which makes up for the rest.
Danny was based for shooting the shit out of that arab dude, Julien was interesting but then they just sorta forgot about'em
>but Vic Mackey is one of the all time great television characters which makes up for the res
not even the best character on the show
Billings toying around with Dutch is one of my favourite plotlines in the show.
what a brutal set up
Dutch honestly didn't deserve it.
it was a bit excessive
then again he killed a cat out of the blue so it evens things out
>strangle the pussy
>observe another man strangling his crush's pussy
poetrtics
is he the most based character in television history
the whole Kavanaugh investigation was very good
the juliet and danny characters suck but their interactions with the street are kino as frick
>that episode where the gangbanger spraypaints 'HOE' on his ex's house then fixes it a week later by spraying an 'S' in front of it
Danny was really at her best when she was in the street. Julien was just...there. I wish we could have seen more Tina.
He is me. Lazy, intelligent, with a scathing sense of humour, but with a heart of gold deep down
Danny and Julian were the worst part of the show, but the fact that they made Julian go to conversion therapy and it actually worked makes up for it. No other show will ever have the balls to do something like that.
It didn't work though?
They never showed another gay incident with Julian
The finale.
He catches himself eyeing up a guy in the finale
I vaguely remember that and I thought it was more ambiguous. The direction of his story was still very bold overall
He's clearly still a gay
>can't finish in his wife without thinking about dudes
>the scene at the sperm bank where he uses the gay magazine
>staring longingly at the two gay guys walking down the street
Ain't really ambiguous
>and it actually worked
Nobody watches the shows they claim to watch.
>Thinking you can unbreak the buck
Mackey is a true antihero. He's a complete scumbag butthole and really has no loyalty to anyone except maybe his ugly wife and tard kids. I was glad he's miserable at the end.
>He's a complete scumbag butthole and really has no loyalty to anyone except maybe his ugly wife and tard kids
Did we watch the same show? He has the strongest moral code out of every other TV antihero protagonist and is genuinely trying to do good most of the time. I personally view his ending as more of a tragedy, I never saw him as a villain that deserved a bad fate.
Uh Ronnie bros?
>Never saw him as a villain
Jesus Christ.
>Moral code
Cheats on wife
Murders innocents
Incites others to murder.
Robs people
Spends the group's money without asking while anyone else would have gotten shit for it.
Screws his last remaining friend and teammate but saves himswlf.
Also he's a huge fricking prick socially.
>I personally view his ending as more of a tragedy, I never saw him as a villain that deserved a bad fate.
This. It’s shown multiple times in the series that he started as a good man and wanted to continue that path, but temptation was too great.
He goes out of his way to take down both Pezuela and Beltran in the final season when he could have just settled with clearing his name with the Armenians, which was what Shane wanted. Outside of saving his own life and the life of his family his singular goal is to clean up the streets. He's a cop that actually cares about the level of crime in his city and was willing to do whatever it would take to minimise it. He never once descended into outright villainy in the series, even when he tried to kill shane.
>in the final season
In order to get more clout in ICE, yes.
>He never once descended into outright villainy in the series
>casually shoots a fellow cop in the head
>would have murdered a pregnant woman
>covers up his prostitute killing an innocent man
He's the most selfish character in the show. He doesn't care about doing good he cares about things going his way. He has no moral code.
You misunderstood the show. Vic is a bad guy but he started off with an exceptional code that fell to the wayside when he became wrapped up in his cover ups
Vic didn't even know his daughter wasn't playing soccer, lmao. He barely cared for his kids, he just saw them as extensions of himself.
When you have kids and your wife rapes you in the divorce, you’ll understand how easy it is to forget their activities sometimes. Oh wait, I forgot, you’ll never have a wife or children.
Nice projection, virgin incel anon.
I kinda disagree. They wrote him as the worst kind of scumbag in episode 1, killing a cop instead of stopping his racketeering, however the character as it was shown in the rest of the show would never have done that. I think in season 5 all he wanted was to keep his job and his friends out of jail.
He was incredibly soft hearted as far as criminals went, letting his enemies go alive, caring about hoores and kids.
It's like those old comics where they show superman killing a dude for sales then have to come with a story on how that makes sense.
>>He was incredibly soft hearted as far as criminals went
>tortures and murders
Who did he torture? The deranged cartel kiddy fiddler?
So heckin ebil indeed
>>Who did he torture?
pretty much everyone he laid hands on and didn't instantly do what vic wanted them to
>torture is ok as long as it's a bad dude being tortured
Yes.
Yes first episode is definitely one of the best for any show.
Just another day anon. The ride never ends
Weird, I've never heard of this show before. I might check it out
Get out of the thread now!
SUCK IT
>Jesus Christ
we WERE SUPPOSED TO RUN TOGETHER
>I AM SORRRY BUDDDYYYYY
based BrBa and The Shield connoisseur
I just finished the Shield and I found lots of BB in it, Vince was definitely tuning in FX
The Walt-Jesse dynamic is almost the same as the one between Vic and Shane.
Shane is racist jesse
>Shane is racist
He used the n-word but he wasn't racist.
He called tavon darkie
He was right to do that, Tavon then outed himself as a violent Black person when he sucker-punched him.
Oh yeah, Tavon was just supposed to take it like abitch.
And Shane needed the help of his Yoko Ono wife to defeat him, too. Pathetic white man.
Mara is probably the best TV wife of all time. Hot and completely loyal to her husband.
yeah i see BrBa as Shield 2.0, personally prefer The Shield but BrBa was pretty kino and had the same feel with the main dynamic being basically Vic and Shane
Vic Mackey's crimes can filla 2 hour video and that's just the ones we see on screen.
that ending was kino
I laughed during that scene, couldn't take it seriously.
AND AN ASS FULL OF CUM
One of the greatest things The Shield gave as is Anthony Anderson's performance as that guy. What a fricking heel turn.
PAPI
BEN ACA
PISS
I feel like we are going to get a sequel. The universe speaks with me.
>a sequel
this kind of tv is impossible today
It was impossible back then, too, it was a special kind of edge that I haven't seen in any other tv show.
Just have some mandatory good guy minority characters and you should be set.
It wouldn't be as grey, a great think about the shield is that everybody is dirty in some way or has done something bad because the situation called for it.
If they were going to make a sequel, I bet it would be even edgier than before to attract more attention
SOCK IT
The shield was always cucked, the person Vic is absed on is actually black irl
No one cares homosexual
I bet many people do tho, cope and seethe
>replies in 20 seconds
kek what a moron
>tsakes 5 minutes to reply with generic greentext
Double digit iq moron lmao
Kys gay
I think most of us just prefer to watch good white actors play roles rather than mediocre diversity hires
Not the one who got so uspet that he had to imagine the other party as killing itself, though.
Do you like the shield, trolling off-topic spamming anon?
Yeah it's a pretty good show
Say what you want but nobody but Vic was gonna shut down those child sex rings
SPOOK STREET
You didn't say anything was going to happen?
Reminder that the actor who portrayed Julian is in prison for murdering his wife.
Once you get a taste of bussy you'll cut any b***h that stands in the way
>ending is just Vic forgot something in the car and then goes back to the office
deep
vic is too proactive of a character to just sit there and file documents forever or whatever it is they wanted to have him do. he's gonna stir up trouble
