>what happened?
Social media happened and gave a voice to the uneducated. People like Mauler and Critical Drinker are now regarded as opinion leaders on film. Capeshit has become the most popular genre. And instead of critically consuming reviews, people rely on numbers review aggregator sites like rotten tomatoes spit out, thinking of artistic merit and production quality in binary extremes. When people stop thinking for themselves, that leaves no room for nuances or even something just being decent. Just thumbs up or thumbs down.
>Francis Ford Coppola felt differently, telling the Times, “They wanted to attack the picture when, for some, it didn’t live up to its promise. And they came after this 18-year-old girl, who had only done it for me. The daughter took the bullet for Michael Corleone — my daughter took the bullet for me.”
The general consensus was that the film was not a good one, particularly Sofia's performance. Even the director has acknowledged the bad reception it received from some critics.
The reality is literally the opposite of what you claim. It was poorly received then and only now recently (coinciding with the rereleased version) people are reassessing it as a good film.
>only now recently
I 100% disagree with this but my evidence is just my perception so its easy to argue against it.
yes the has some problems but I think Pacino makes it worthwhile and it does have some very good scenes
It's ok but really can't hold a candle to the first ones for most of it. Plus the whole romantic subplot was a very weird thing to put there. I really liked that they addressed Apollonia's character, very touching that even after so much water under the bridge he still thinks about her.
she is not particularly attractive, neither was appolonia
Recut isn't all that different tbf. The only major change was the 1 minute ending.
Regardless, always felt it was an ok film. Sofia Coppola's acting never bothered me, it was Andy García who came across as extremely cringe throughout the film. The Vatican plot was also convoluted and neither the original nor the recut did a good job of making it straight forward.

Also "critiquing" a film by today's braindead morons amount to nitpicking the story, and checking whether it's "logical."
I'm not sure if it's something they're predisposed to, but every big nosed girl that's sucked my dick likes to be face fucked. Like hard and choking and all that.
>she is not particularly attractive
Au contraire: She is attractive in a very particular way. Her face is exceptionally characteristic and unique. Ironically, what you seem to be looking for is unparticular attractiveness: You seem to prefer a generic "pretty" face with barely any flaw or standout feature.
>Sofia Coppola likes any guy who has what she wants. If she wants to be a photographer she’ll fuck a photographer. If she wants to be a filmmaker, she’ll fuck a filmmaker. She’s a parasite just like her fat, pig father was.”
20 years ago this movie had the opinion of "its good but doesnt compare to the first two".
Now it has the opinion "ITS SHIT DONT WATCH IT!!"
what happened? I watched it again earlier this year and it is a good film. Pacino dug deep for his acting
It's always been regarded as shit
wrong and youre an idiot to think that
>Google Godfather 3 original reviews
>multiple articles lamenting how badly it was received upon release
You're the idiot my friend

yeah this is my thoughts too. Its very easy for opinion to snowball over the internet
Id like to clear up to you that 20 years ago was not the release of this movie.

It's a great movie dunno why the media smeared it.
It was the most emotionally powerful film of the trilogy.
I didn't think it was that bad but maybe just not as good as the first 2...it does give an ending to the trilogy

WRONG
Got recut recently

I wonder who took Sofia's virginity, what the sex was like, and how she came.
Big beaks on girls make me diamonds.
based, her offensive nose and smug look make me want to mess her up.
I'm not sure if it's something they're predisposed to, but every big nosed girl that's sucked my dick likes to be face fucked. Like hard and choking and all that.
~~*italian*~~
Just when I think I am out, they pull me back in.
kek
Tell you what, they wouldn't have to pull me back into Sofia, if you catch my drift.
>webm
What's happening here?
He's trying to do the crossword puzzle.
she is not particularly attractive, neither was appolonia
its called natural beauty
>she is not particularly attractive
Au contraire: She is attractive in a very particular way. Her face is exceptionally characteristic and unique. Ironically, what you seem to be looking for is unparticular attractiveness: You seem to prefer a generic "pretty" face with barely any flaw or standout feature.
> neither was appolonia
You are FUCKING gay bro.
>neither was appolonia
her daughter is hotter
>Sofia Coppola likes any guy who has what she wants. If she wants to be a photographer she’ll fuck a photographer. If she wants to be a filmmaker, she’ll fuck a filmmaker. She’s a parasite just like her fat, pig father was.”
d-does she want to be a NEET?
Based as fuck
So, a woman?
She has one of the most attractive resting bitch faces of all time.
Agreed. Those eyes, lips and nose. It's why I absolutely wouldn't have pulled out of a young Streisand. Oomph.
Meh. Streisand always looked too "American" for my taste. Also kinda pudgy.
I'd die for a dark Italian like this with a big nose
zoom zoom here, should I watch these movies?
I say marathon the first half-hour and see if you like it.
Yes, you should watch them all.
is that supposed to be a smile? she looks retarded
>is that supposed to be a smile?
No, it's an expression of disgust. You should be familiar with that.
What's wrong with her face?
I have 2 Italian female cousins I've haven't seen in 15 years when we were little kids
Imagine the smell.
Cute story, but Why didn’t anon just marry his cousin though?
Or is this one big larp
This is fucking retarded what's the point of writing a greentext if it's just going to be the length of a short novel?
That's not even long by wincest story standards
ugly goblin faced bitch
What is her facial expression trying to convey?
