No. I mean yes, but no. Animal cruelty is the one thing that gets to me consistently and this movie fricked me up a bit during.
God dammit atleast picrel. Frick Gunn.
Bet he saves the dcu though
Yes. It was beautiful. It is the single best movie(and trilogy) in the entire MCU. And what’s better, it stands up completely on its own. Frick the rest of the MCU(except the first Iron Man). It could all burn for all I care, and by all reports, it already is.
No. Its the worst GotG movie, and for a film thats supposed to send off the whole crew its almost entirely focused on one of them. However, now that it's done I'm finally finished with marvelslop.
Ignore this. This opinion is trash my da said so

The plot surrounds rocket but everyone else is involved the regular amount. At least this time they're doing shit for themselves and not just trying to save a planet/the universe or some shit.
It feels more personal and everyone gets their fair share of time and development, just the usual end of x capeshit focuses on one of the characters instead of some mcguffin or extinction threat.
Yes but the question is what happens now? Stand alone Star Lord movie? It was the third highest grossing movie of the year and only MCU thing people have liked in a while so surely they will have to make more even though this is sold as a definitive send off?
I kind of hope not tbh. Can he carry it? I wouldn't mind seeing a movie with the new guardians. Adam Warlock, whistle dude who's name I forgot, cute voice russki female cosmo, rocket, groot. I can see the dynamic working. They're all solid characters. But without Gunns particular style I'm not sure it won't just become more marvel slop. It took him years to gain the faith to do what he wanted, and it worked. Whoever takes the reigns won't have the freedom, and will they have the talent?
Also who tf I'd that small alien looking lady I can't remember her
It’s hard to get through this movie without crying even after the sad parts just the end with the celebration “the dog days are over” makes me kind of weepy idk why probably because I’ll miss these characters
While I love this movie and appreciate a marvel movie with a more serious tone it kind of breaks my heart that the last movie with this team has so much tragedy in it they were such fun characters in 1 and 2 and I would’ve liked one last light hearted adventure idk I just wanted more movies with them
ye but could have been a lot better
bad jokes aside, the stuff in the corporate headquarters could have been streamlined a lot, and practically everything on the counter earth was a massive waste of time
it took like 40 minutes of screentime just to give passing argument about the bad neighborhoods
At its core it's pretty good but there's quite a lot of clumsy attempts to tie together threads from previous movies (most notably Adam Warlock and Gamora) and as a conclusion to an arc it feels awkwardly abrupt.
It's weird for the grand finale to be a fight against just some guy whose only connection to the Guardians is a distant history with a non-core member, but it hits all the right beats and Gunn is very competent at making basic stories that feel fresh.
I kind of wish they weren’t part of an interconnected universe although it was kind of funny to watch them interact with the avengers I just have no desire to watch some of the things they appeared in like Thor 4 which explains why they parted ways with Thor. When I look at comic books that have a ton of characters crossing over I just don’t know how people can be fans of all of these different characters, the guardians for me are really the only marvel movies I like
The only time outside the Avengers where an MCU hero has been meaningfully integrated into another hero's story is Hulk in Thor Ragnarok. Every other time it's a glorified cameo. The Guardians are barely in Thor 4 and even then they're mostly set dressing.
Adam Warlock namedropping King Crimson and Adrian Belew at the end gets a based from me. The movie was also good, way better than every other Marvel movie I've seen the last few years.

Okay what the frick is going on. What am I missing. Is this some in joke? How is he landing these roles. Why are random gaylords simping for this potate?
I want to use Rocket as an onahole.
No. I mean yes, but no. Animal cruelty is the one thing that gets to me consistently and this movie fricked me up a bit during.

He will save DC

frick happened to groot
Puberty
He died. His sap produced a different groot. This Groot is Groots son
That is called cloning, its not groot's son, its groot's clone.
It's an alien species, not a tree. Does it look like a clone?
idk what this publication is but first google link https://collider.com/baby-groot-son-james-gunn-guardians-of-the-galaxy/
Ah I was a little wrong though. A spore grew into a sapling. It wasn't a sapling left from groots remains. Maybe that's where the confusion came from

Without Gunn it’s probably for the best the Guardians are left alone.

I cried when Rocket was dying and then woke up being hugged by Peter and Groot.

Honestly the best thing about gotg is that it was nothing like marvels other shit.

feelsbait which felt cringe and forced.
The jdorama tier humor was painful at times but somehow worked out in the end. Caught myself cackling at some of the dumb jokes. It's good

Chris Pratt and Will Poulter are relentlessly handsome.

No, as usual it still has way too much garbage.
It had the exact same fricking endsing shot as Thor: Love & Thunder.
That's a post-credits scene. The actual ending shot is them dancing
