Grand Inquisitor

>Grand Inquisitor introduced in Rebels
>dies
>never seen again
>somehow reappears in Obi Wan
>killed again by Reva after only two episodes
What the frick is the timeline of this show?

Leia is 10, so it’s set 10 years after ROTS, but also somehow after Rebels and the rebellion already exists but isn’t mentioned at all.

Also, Ezra’s parents are killed by Stormtroopers, and he’s atleast 13 by the start of Rebels.

Not to mention Obi Wan shows up in Rebels (with white hair already) and kills Darth Maul. Has this already happened and Obi Wan died his hair brown again?

Have Ezra and Thrawn already disappeared into Wild Space? Did Vader already meet Ahsoka? Did all the moron time travel shit already happen?
Wouldn’t this show make more sense if it was before Rebels and Fallen Order?

Rebels is way after the Obi Wan show.

      >Rebels is way after the Obi Wan show.
That’s literally impossible moron. The Grand Inquisitor dies in both shows, but at least it’s slightly ambiguous in Rebels.

He’s clearly dead in Obi Wan, so it has to come after.

Also, you know Reva will end up starting the Rebellion that also gets created in Rebels.

I don’t understand how they got this shit so wrong. Why even bother using the Grand Inquisitor instead of just a random inquisitor like Fallen Order did?

It is what it is, brainlet. I don't write this shit.
Obi Wan Kenobi officially takes plave 9 years before Episode 4, and Rebels begins 5 years before Episode 4.

Rebels is set 5 years before new hope. Stop trying to make sense of this mess that disney has created where death is literally impossible and Canon can be broken whenever the writer feels like it

        >That’s literally impossible moron.
But that's how they wrote it, so deal with it. Disney is just retconning their own content.

The Grand Inquisitor isn't dead. A single stab through one of his race's stomachs isn't going to kill him, especially since he's fully embraced the dark side and it's been used to keep others alive through far worse.

my guy, literally none of this matters. Disney only cares about money, and consoomers gobble it up like pigs at a trough. just walk away.

Wrong. Disney and Hollywood want Men to fall into despair and die.

Its actually set before rebels, not that it makes it better, Sheev got vaporized TWICE and then still came back in ep 9. Disney doesn't give a shit about canon which they have broken multiple times already in the 3 episode of obi wan

What was the other time Sheev got vaporized before Episode 9?

Vaporized when he fell down the shaft, then the whole station blew up as well.

uhh sweaty, expecting a BIPOC director to watch your kids cartoons is racist and homophobic, xhey can do whatever they want with canon. It's Reva's turn.

The first season of Rebels (where the Grand Inquisitor dies) takes place four years after Obi Wan Kenobi.
The episode where Obi Wan appears and kills Maul takes place seven years after Obi Wan Kenobi.
So I guess the Grand Inquisitor either survived Reva's attack, or it's another Grand Inquisitor who looks exactly the same lmao

It’s not. It’s confirmed it’s the same guy (same tattoos as well).

Which is a strange because they knew enough about the character to know who he is, but nobody on the writing team seemed to realize that he has to survive the show to make it to the show that introduced him.

      >The Grand Inquisitor is still alive in the Obi-Wan show.
This is obviously the route they’re going, but why kill him in such an obvious way.

He got stabbed through the heart. Him coming back is more of an asspull than Darth Maul.

        >He got stabbed through the heart.
Closer to his stomach, but it's still pretty stupid.

It's just an excuse to sideline him. It wasn't handled well, but then neither was the makeup/prosthetics given how he looks in Rebels.

He got stabbed in the stomach. COULD be survivable with bacta or cybernetics or something. Maul got sliced in fricking half and fell in a chasm. The only thing dumber than that is Palpatine surviving.

the people making this stuff is people who saw maybe the original three movies one time and thats it.
dont ask for coherence or quality.
just a sand planet with a robot guy chasing a pathetic white man who is into little kids.
that and LEIA,lots of LEIA for reasons.

    >Grand Inquisitor
I'm guessing he's still alive because they never confirmed it, so he'll probably come back alive after Reva gets slashed at the end so he gets his title back. They already retconned a bunch of stuff in Rebels so I wouldn't be surprised if they did kill him here.
    >Leia is 10, so it’s set 10 years after ROTS, but also somehow after Rebels and the rebellion already exists but isn’t mentioned at all.
Kenobi is 8 years before ANH and Rebels is 5 years. The strange thing is pic related Leia is supposed to look like this only 3 years after the Leia we saw in Kenobi.
    >Not to mention Obi Wan shows up in Rebels (with white hair already) and kills Darth Maul.
That happens 6 years after Kenobi. This means he gets white hair and looks old as frick in only 6 years.
    >Did Vader already meet Ahsoka?
That happens 5 years after Kenobi.

      Not really.

          >They already changed Rex's story
Not in a significant way. Not enough to justify saying "they already retconned a bunch of stuff in Rebels." The Ahsoka show is essentially a direct sequel to Rebels. Rebels isn't going anywhere.

          >Rebels was based on the original script that Rex took his chip out before Order 66 and he even said to Kanan about everyone having a choice
This is semantics. He had it removed during Order 66, and he didn’t succeed in killing Ahsoka, who was his commander at that time.

By all accounts, Rex didn’t participate in Order 66 in a meaningful way.

Not every episode of Rebels takes place in the same year. The Leia episode takes place just three years before ANH, so she's 16 in Rebels.

From the looks of it they're abandoning Rebels if so what would be the main plot of the Ahsoka show? The only reason she even got a show is because he's looking for Ezra and with Sabine already casted too. It seems like they're only making some parts of Rebels canon

  18. 2 years ago

Not that it matters because Disney absolutely does not care, but
    >Obi-Wan is set 10 years after RotS
    >Rebels is set 15 years after RotS
    >Ezra was born on the day RotS ended (same day as Luke & Leia)
    >Grand Inky dies in Obi-Wan long before he dies in Rebels
    >Ezra's parents died a while before the show starts
    >Tattooine ages you up crazy fricking fast I guess
The state of the franchise is in absolute shambles, it's so terrible
