How did Hal lose with 11 more rings, plus a parasite powering him up?
It's dumb. Having multiple wallets, or bank accounts, don't give you more money.
More ring =/= more will power
Each ring has its own charge, so if one runs out he can use the next one.
sweet, that doesn't make him more powerful.
now if he had one of each color he would, but only like 2 people have pulled that off.
>More ring =/= more will power
Then why do it?
because he went insane, in the original comic.
does this look like the face of a man thinking logically.
It sure doesn't look like the face of a story written logically.
It would let him use more at once though.
If one ring couldn’t do his max output of will power, more rings would let him use more power.
It really does. The whole point of
is that he got stronger with each ring he drained.
John is black.
>OP finally stopped sucking wiener long enough to look up at Green Lantern doing what Green Lantern has done for 50+ years
ok thaal
Aw shit, did they really do Hal Parallax in the new movie?
No, evil Hal is best Hal.
maybe without a beard and mustache.
This.
Remove wanting to bring back muh coastal city and just take over the universe Ala thanos. Maybe have his own galaxies he rules.
So remove the entire motivation for going evil making him a semi sympathetic bad guy and just make him a generic ultimate bad guy? Sounds kinda lame
His reasoning for doing it is a catalyst.
It still being his motivation action after becoming parallax and ge cod snap the place into existence with a thought is bullshit.
Frick you and your stupid goddamned noble badguy bullshit.
It takes awY from him as a character, sounds generic, and stinks of manipulative bulkshit that makes parallax as a character feel like they don't have the bas to fully evolve it into a real villain and threat.
The road to hell anon.
He wants the power to fix coastal city but that's just a justification, a pretty lie. His ego is bruised and he's frustrated that yhe guardians wouldn't help him after all he's done.
By the time he's realized how far he's home he's fighting his friends in the justice league justice society and half the lantern core.
But it's too late. Ge continues on as a villain who does dirty dhit for power to be a better ruler and protector then the oans
Maybe have his own gl corps.
I was sick of me so sorry me be a goid boy parallax and them trying to create new outlandish wags to make him squeal about how he wa to to be a hero again..
Zero hour was legitimately fricking stupid and a waste of everyone's time.
You need to learn to check your spelling there mate, the majority of what you said reads like Gibberish because you didn’t take the time to proofread your rant
Samsungs spell checker actively fricks up nearly everything I type.
I honestly believe its designed to alter certain words ir phrases fir a certain reason.
Not like it hasnt done before.
it's a phoneposter. just ignore them. hide the post if it bugs you that much. they never have anything worthwhile to say much less offer anything conducive to a discussion.
SHUT THE FRICK UP Black person
I LIKE IT
only reasonable explanation would be that the parasite shook his willpower so it wasn't as strong anymore, and that's how John was able to tug them away from him
It was kind of an interesting plot up until the meme evil twist then went full cringe as it were. Also why the frick did sinestro never destroy oa. He wasnt even boosted or anything he just shows up and wipes em all out like he was out to brunch. Then hal gets all the rings of the people sinestro fricking straight murdered 10 seconds ago and he is like "the power!" And bows down to him. That alone threw me enough to not care about the plot afterwards
It wasn’t interesting at all though it was just mediocre retelling of good stories smushed together into one big pile of garbage
AKA a regular big 2 adaptation.
What I'm getting sick of is people adapting stories like this one that requires a lived in universe that simply doesn't exist anymore.
I really liked this movie until maybe the last 1/3rd. John just kinda became unbelievable as a character, whereas before he'd been the best part of the movie.
So how did Kyle beat Hal in the comics when Hal was Parallax?
wasn't Kyle empowered by the Green Will Whale?
Ion?
He didn't iirc, it was a team effort
And even then Parallax wasn’t fully defeated and came back a couple more times until Final Night
What if we did "evil character, but good" instead
Evil versions of good characters only work if the good character has the potential to turn evil and is put in a situation where that character would actively want to be evil.
It's why this trope took off in the first place, Symbiote Spider-Man is a dick, but he's also really fricking cool because this is the same Peter Parker that would've let a criminal rob someone else because that someone fricked Peter over a few seconds ago, he's still kicking around in there.
Darth Vader being evil is fine because even Anakin would kill people who couldn't defend themselves, but Luke Skywalker being evil or even neutral is character assassination of the highest order.
The problem is the perfectly fine characters that break when you try to turn them evil, Superman would be fricking DEVASTATED if The Joker tricked him into killing his wife, unborn child and all of Metropolis, but he would not turn into a mass murdering tyrant who kills children for saying "maybe we shouldn't invade, conquer and subjugate other universes".
I hate Good Characters side with evil because they won't be allowed to do anything at all. This is why I hate Dark Leo from IDW TMNT because he's evil but is not allowed to do anything so it's a waste of time. Brainwashing is always a lazy writing. This means they have chance to be saved. There is no real character development.
That's just shit that prevents the status quo from being changed, I don't consume TMNT media but I can tell you that the best move the writer could've made is to not do it if it amounts to frick all, Peter Parker ends up creating one of his worst enemies because of him getting Eddie Brock fired and him rejecting the Symbiote which is a catastrophic consequence, what you just described is like if the Symbiote was sent back into space never to be seen again and Eddie not only got rehired but he also forgave Peter for getting him fired in the first place, that is a story that shouldn't be written.
My post was in defense of the [INSERT CHARACTER HERE] but evil trope, a story where "Dark Leo" does bad things of his own volition that heavily alters the status quo and demands character development could've been written for you, you could've read an emotionally and intellectually satisfying story, unfortunately, that story wasn't written, so all you're left with is a happily ever after and wasted potential.
Despite what many will tell you, if the writer isn't at fault for a shit story then the editor is, limitations breed creativity, they should work with them instead of around them.
After God and Monsters, DC animated movie have become shit.
He was already a deviant. How much worse could he get?
It's an adaptation of a critically acclaimed story line on par with the death of superman that's never been adapted to any kind of film or tv before. That alone puts it ahead of something like say Injustice or The Boys.
emerald twilight
I just want them all to be fun buddy cops, maybe like a new season of GLTAS.
That’s all any fan really wants, most don’t give a shit of which one is better than which as usually they all offer something different to the table but DC keeps seemingly pushing this narrative that you need to disparage the other GLs to prop up one
Seriously. They're more like the space version of Southland mixed with 21 Jump Street. They're an ensemble of cops. You need all kinds. So many sectors and species of GLs and other color factions - but in this movie they kill off all the established Lanterns and leave John as the last Lantern standing, with a potential brood of new cops with no Oa or Guardians or even Kilowog to train the poozers. Come on, DC.
Don't need to take shit from canonically retconned homosexuals.
You can't do emerald twilight in a movie, you can't do parralax in a movie. It was a long form story of the fall, degradation and death of Hal Jordan. Not to mention it just has no gravitas if you resolve it in what feels like 2 minutes.
