The world itself might be representative, but Ysengrin lived here in the forest for a good long while so nothing off there.
Except this isn't a real forest or a real ysengrin. This forest is an idealized representation of a forest, with trees that go perfectly straight up and branch off at 45 degree angles. It is meant to mirror medieval manuscript depictions, with their often simplistic, abstract, pattern-cognizant illustrations like pic related.
This means that this forest, the giant Ysengrin, as well as the fake Annie are all part of a larger representation of the real Ysengrin's remaining memories. He represents himself with these three aspects. To him, Annie is a fundamental part of himself. Why else would she be here, in this world that is clearly a representation of him?
