>Owl House fan
Oh, so that's why you're ignoring the actual answers and defending this tripe.
Mmm no answers? Guess its not really like anime then, since you guys can't seem to formulate any proof that this show is trying to be like "anime". >muh references!
So when anime references western media is anime trying to be like cartoons? >muh rip off super saiyan!
So when anime steals concepts and ideas from the west they're trying to be like cartoons?
why do japs love capeshit and old cartoons like tom and jerry so much then? >well, no one did power ups before the japanese!
they did. but i'll admit that sailor moon and dragonballz influenced a lot of western animators. does this mean cartoons are trying to be like anime? no. that's like saying MHA is trying to be a cartoon because they have superheros and that's what the west does
>lame and gay powerups >le heckin epic battle scenes!!! but actually, they suck ass because theres no budget to animate anything properly so you just get a bunch of shitty looking shortcuts >uwu you thought this uber kawaii smol bean was soft eh??? well theyre gonna show you!!! style of shonen-esq power leveling melodrama puke >RE: the above point: please take our childrens show seriously this is actually a very dark show with mature themes, like your animes where the android kicks a whole dudes head off,
The homosexuals behind these shows and their clear failed attempts to climb up the industry, causes them to try and appeal execs in a different way.
At first they try to emulate stuff, for example an usual western story would not go the length of having luz say "but I am weirdo that likes making muh amvs" on the very first episode, this because the american way to show a nerd was always that of nerd glasses, freckles, braces, fatness, etc. Instead of demonstrating that nerds do exist without those chars in a "normal" looking person, which is the way that normies began finding out that anime was not an automatic "weirdo" thing, they decided to go for the other approach, autism/ADHD
The problem is that these people doing this shitty cartoons are useless, literally hacks that have watched, played and read different mangas/animes & japanese games, and take many ideas from there, but they usually are so incredibly stupid (normies) that they don't (or rather can't) understand shit about the soul that animes or mangas have which is not limited to those alone, comics and cartoons have their own soul but you get the point, the problem with these cartoons like gayhouse is that they just end up throwing every kind of shit they can and hope to stick something to the wall, I remember even some hardcore fans from that show furiously discussing and making lists of shit that didn't make sense in toh and were specially angry because in spite of being S2 finale and knowing that there were no more renewals but rather a cut, the show didn't seem to aim at resolving anything, so having a "muh bleach/naruto/dbz transformation" was again a "throw shit at the wall" and due to general moronation of a fandom without self-respect, it was seen as innovation for some, but just like every other time those who believed "it is cool" are the same gays that have never seen anything other than popular western shit, so something close to anime, no matter how poorly done is impactful.
>the show didn't seem to aim at resolving anything
They did resolve what had to be resolved which wasn't a lot. Some fans were dissatisfied but honestly there wasn't a lot the show had to address? It barely had anything if I'm being honest most of it was the whole Belos thing which was resolved. Only thing sort of left in blank was the whole deal with The Collector's family but I don't think that was something worth elaborating when they only had 3 episodes.
>stupid (normies) that they don't (or rather can't) understand shit about the soul that animes have
Yeah the animators' souls drifting away from them because of the shit working conditions. Why animegays act like anime is this flawless perfect creation. All animes past the 2000's are all the same shit except for like 2. They all do these fights and le epic transformations for the same shit reason. Most of them are done just to look cool plus fanservice for degens to jack off to with no other meaning.
>All animes past the 2000's are all the same shit except for like 2.
Imagine being this moronic. 2000-2010 is considered one of the best periods for original anime. Ping pong has more sovl per meter cube than any of your disney shit.
The blatant influence. Owl house isn't doing a stupid clear reference to anything in particular, but must be blind looking at Owl House and go "N-naw, there's no weebery here! ha..."
The entire final sequence was kind of the over the top anime feel >After the villain was defeated, he came back and took control of the ancient god like being >Strikes a lethal blow on the hero >In death, the hero gains a new power to defeat the villain by an ancient god like being
Which is kind of in line with the series. tbh, the only part that was genuinely worse than the rest of the show was Belos b***hing out at the end. I wish they could make villains that were actually dedicated to their path.
Well the show clearly takes alot of eastern inspirations in art style. And she clearly goes into her final form, which a very common trope in a lot of anime.
why do japs love capeshit and old cartoons like tom and jerry so much then? >well, no one did power ups before the japanese!
they did. but i'll admit that sailor moon and dragonballz influenced a lot of western animators. does this mean cartoons are trying to be like anime? no. that's like saying MHA is trying to be a cartoon because they have superheros and that's what the west does
>why do japs love capeshit and old cartoons like tom and jerry so much then?
Well tom and jerry specifically isn't very dialog heavy, so those toons are popular all around the world. For most other western cartoons and cape slop, it's the same reason we probably like anime and Manga. With older western toons in particular, Japanese markets are able to easily fit those classic characters into the whole cute culture. Most obvious example is how Japan loves the Mickey and Friends brand way more then the US does, because of how appealing and cutsey there designs are.

Can I get some context? Is this like the wonder bread guy who spams his commissions except in this case its fanfics?

Just one author I've been following. He slips in the lack of shoes in a few sentences, but when it happens over multiple chapters you can tell it's a fetish.
Especially when one character fawns over another's bare feet.

Can you link the one where one fawns over the others feet?
It's obviously just Disney mandates for their shows to have the same tropes in them for social media buzz, so I don't really blame the show writers too much.
>"durr and make sure you give your MC some stupid evolution power-up" >"like star vs, all the girls loved star vs" >cue amphibia, owl house, and molly mcgee
Molly McGhee was it's own.thimg and it was used twice
Star was okish the other characters also transform it has a theme
Owl house is unexcusable especially how they hype it up while the animation in the fight looks like garbage, lots of twisting and turning and doing nothing while lights flash
Amphibia was so bad the show is better if you don't watch it
I think it's sadder than that. They did not reference anime, but rather they references amphibia which was referencing anime. So they are extra lame.
No wonders that shit got cancelled. 0 creativity involved.
wonder if there are some drafts about Luz final form(?) It seems like they wanted to do something far from an anime power up but that final design looks like a mix of differents ideas
Anime is famous for doing a lot with a small budget. Good cutting, compositions, poses, and so forth can do a lot. American productions waste a lot of money to achieve results worse than drawing skill and style can achieve.
Just like the current anime industry
How is this like anime? HARD MODE: no mention of muh powerups or references
they think a show not being in constant sitcom framing = anime
God you underages are insufferable
Mind answering the question instead of sperging like a homosexual?
Power ups and references have always existed in Cinemaphile far before jap influence. What makes the final battle scene with luz "anime" in specific?
Kys
Copium with a side of salt, eh? I'll take your concession of defeat
>Actual underage
Mmm no answers? Guess its not really like anime then, since you guys can't seem to formulate any proof that this show is trying to be like "anime".

No they haven't. You're simply lying.

>why do japs love capeshit
Lol, capeshit sells like absolute garbage in japan, outside of la movies(even those are doing worse nowadays).
What anime-like power ups have there been before anime?
frick you, heres your answer:
>lame and gay powerups
>le heckin epic battle scenes!!! but actually, they suck ass because theres no budget to animate anything properly so you just get a bunch of shitty looking shortcuts
>uwu you thought this uber kawaii smol bean was soft eh??? well theyre gonna show you!!! style of shonen-esq power leveling melodrama puke

I find it funny that this kind of fanart was done in both deviantart and tumblr for years, where does dana come from as an artist again?
>the show didn't seem to aim at resolving anything
They did resolve what had to be resolved which wasn't a lot. Some fans were dissatisfied but honestly there wasn't a lot the show had to address? They literally called it an anime powerup in Amphibia.
The entire final sequence was kind of the over the top anime feel
>After the villain was defeated, he came back and took control of the ancient god like being
>Strikes a lethal blow on the hero
>In death, the hero gains a new power to defeat the villain by an ancient god like being

Cartoons have always had bigger budgets, not that it matters in regards to quality.
Theres not enough fanservice for it to be an anime
Says you
Theres only 1 scene of Luz barefoot in the entire show. Clearly not degen enough for gigachads like myself.
I bet you write foot fetishes into all your Owl House fanfics
I dont write cus im lazy but otherwise yes I would. I would write about all the women and some of the men getting their feet licked by dogs in fact.
like the one guy who keeps writing all the girls kicking off their shoes
Can I get some context? Is this like the wonder bread guy who spams his commissions except in this case its fanfics?
Just one author I've been following. He slips in the lack of shoes in a few sentences, but when it happens over multiple chapters you can tell it's a fetish.
Especially when one character fawns over another's bare feet.

Why couldn’t they lick Luz’s feet instead. I find it hot seeing two elf girls lick and smell a human girls feet
It's obviously just Disney mandates for their shows to have the same tropes in them for social media buzz, so I don't really blame the show writers too much.
>"durr and make sure you give your MC some stupid evolution power-up"
>"like star vs, all the girls loved star vs"
>cue amphibia, owl house, and molly mcgee
>Retconned McGee
What the hell is that atrocity on the middle?
Don't be mean to Star
Molly McGhee was it's own.thimg and it was used twice
Star was okish the other characters also transform it has a theme
Owl house is unexcusable especially how they hype it up while the animation in the fight looks like garbage, lots of twisting and turning and doing nothing while lights flash
Amphibia was so bad the show is better if you don't watch it
If she wants to be an anime so bad she can try and fight Cell.
>Anne hair color powerup is DBS
>Luz's furry one is GT
I think it's sadder than that. They did not reference anime, but rather they references amphibia which was referencing anime. So they are extra lame.
No wonders that shit got cancelled. 0 creativity involved.
wonder if there are some drafts about Luz final form(?) It seems like they wanted to do something far from an anime power up but that final design looks like a mix of differents ideas
So and just like the properties GT had the better power up design wise but everything else was shit compared to super.
Anime is famous for doing a lot with a small budget. Good cutting, compositions, poses, and so forth can do a lot. American productions waste a lot of money to achieve results worse than drawing skill and style can achieve.
Everyone wants their big super saiyan fight with no build-up.
>still jobs to The Collector
Sorry Luzers, but the Titans and everyone they empowered got SCORCHED by the gigachad Archivists
I think it's edgy fun to have Hollowfied Luz. I would want my kids to have edgy fun cartoons.
Current anime churns out quick and easy dogshit and then goes back and fixes everything for home media and streaming releases later.
>anime
>having good budgets
lol wtf am i reading
>None of the budget
There are better looking animes made with less money
>east v west thread
you will never be japanese
Owl House is shit and Luz is ugly.
Its a magical setting, this kind of BS is expected even outside of anime you moron
