Therefore your feedback is invalid, never was valid, and you were never a fan of the game at any point in its history.

I don't mind helmet-off John, I do mind that this character is not John.

kek these morons didnt learn a single thing from last season. lets remove all the recognizable and fun stuff about Halo and replace it with a bunch of bullshit no one asked for

Because they never played the games and didn't care to play them. Just another case of "we're telling OUR story"

No one likes Halo past Reach. If it's not Bungie it's not Halo

I mean the lore takes a huge nosedive after Bungie left. The first three games clearly imply humans are the Forerunner's descendants whereas 343 starts pulling shit from their asses that muddies up everything with the Forerunners being different aliens, all intelligent life being made by some other aliens who also end up being the Flood, the "mantle of responsibility" bullshit, humans being made dumber by the Forerunner's and then also the only ones allowed to use their tech later in the future to deal with the Flood, etc.

          >Halo 4 opens with chief having a longer and more in depth conversation than he's ever had with his HEADMATE, with some random frick I'm supposedly supposed to know because he was in some books
holy frick, I was in shock. Mowing down golden skeletons from an AT-ST barely registered because they had fricked the MC in my eyes from moment one

hot take: i liked the forerunner setup that 4 had going, even if it doesn't make sense from a bungie lore point of view, it was a neat story idea to run with and boy did they run it into the ground with guardians. who the frick thought giant mech dragons was a good idea? and rogue cortana just got worse.

Halo works as a game, but should never be a show. There is no way for a show to be both good and make sense as an adaptation of Halo.

There's 30-something books, surely they could've pulled something from there if adapting a fricking video game was too hard.

No, this is usually a failure of a script, director, casting, etc. I believe anything can be adapted properly if handled well. Lots of people said X or Y was unadaptable until someone came along and made a successful project out of it.

Nah it's super fricking easy to make a good HALO show: cool designs, cool names (forward unto dawn), cool music, lots of bing bang wahoo explosions and that's it
What you should NOT do is make some homosexual sappy emotional plot about women and Cortana being NTRd

      >There is no way for a show to be both good and make sense as an adaptation of Halo
halo is a poor man's starship troopers, and that not only has a series of kino films but also a kino tv show to go with it.

they could have done halo 1-3 but from the viewpoint of sgt. johnson and it would have been kino

Yes you can. You just don't hire hack Hollywood writers who don't care about the source material and just wanna tell "their" story i.e their "so original" scripts sucked ass so they can only adapt something else.

nta but some moron here a few months before the first glimpses of the show were revealed unironically felt that a halo adaptation that was faithful to the series would be awful, and his suggestion was what we ended up getting.

    >Xbox and Paramount released a new trailer for the upcoming Halo Season 2, which continues the story of Master Chief’s live-action exploits following Season 1’s mixed reception, and showed Pablo Schreiber’s Master Chief in action with and without the helmet on. One action sequence sees John-117 fighting the Covenant without any armour at all.

Actors want their face visible for branding, actual end-product be damned. You see this in a lot of capeshit, you'll notice that Spider-Man can't leave his mask on for more than two minutes.

Yeah, frick SAG actually affecting art for capitalist bullshit. We need more Karl Urbans who are more about the character than branding their image to the masses. Didn't take his helmet off once when he played Dredd. THAT'S an actor.
