>Didn't the Nu-tales show draw more directly from the original comics than the 80s show? >Why be such a sperg about it?
Are you serious? They took the worst from Don Rosa and totally turned all those stories from Don Rosa in their favor. After all, they know nothing about Duck comics.
>Anon doesn't know that Japanese manga, especially Osama Tezuka's manga, was inspired by Carl Barks comics >Don Rosa created comics following the example of Carl Barks
>When he dies his legacy dies with him
Really? There are several official writers and artists for Donald Duck comics who have the permission of Don Rosa who continue his work, that is, the work of his comics. Don Rosa will remain a legend and his comics will continue to be read, while other things like Nu-Ducktales will become obsolete in a few years.
It started back in the 1980s when Disney comics sold less and TV took over the role. That’s why we also have Ducktales and other Disney Afternoon cartoons. Of course comics are selling less and less, but there are people who buy it. Okay, there’s the internet so people can somehow download comics.
The problem is more in the lack of interest, more people will be for Marvel and DC as well as other franchises than they will be interested in Donald Duck and Duckverse. Although there were attempts to get Donald Duck a seat, however, the Disney company canceled it (example of the video game Epic Donald). But it’s not the worst, you have Mickey Mouse comics by Floyd Gottfredson, but no one reads his comics. Literally Americans don’t know that Mickey plays a much bigger role in European comics (especially in Italian ones) than in their cartoons.
Sadly, but it’s more because of Disney’s policy of not caring about things like that. There were some attempts to introduce themselves in their franchises, buying from European authors (comic book Duck Avenger and video game PK: Out of the Shadows), but people were simply not interested in such things. Sad, but such is the fact. Yes, even some other Duck series are more popular than in America. Darkwing Duck literally has more fans in France, Germany and Russia, and probably in the UK than in America.
I hope he fricking dies soon so that pic can get fricked.
He cheats on his wife and is into findom and his fanfiction sucks. Literally cannot wait for his death.
Frick off! Don Rosa will live a long time and you can't do anything about it. Also, he doesn't hate Ducktales, but he doesn't like when his comics are called that.
Also, there is a beautiful soundtrack related to his best work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTykcFxIESs
You may hate Don Rosa, but one thing you have to admit to him. He has a lot of talent for his work, and he’s right about today’s Disney. Today's Disney must boycott! Boycott Disney! Boycott!
>Says he's a fan of Mort Weisinger era Superman and would like to write his comic >DC never gives him a call and pitches him an out of continuity Superman book
Gem
You're a hack for making that
Frick you it was funny
/qa/ is divine
Literally God
>that sign
autism
that's like something Chris Chan would have next to his comics about sonichu
He doesn't need it overseas, only in America because burgers don't read Disney books.
You try writing stories in a decades old established comic book circuit only for it to be overshadowed and confused with a children's TV show
I personally would have made it less wordy, but I do think that it is needed.
yabalabadawn
I can't tell if it's autism or it's some kind of legal loophole
his comicbooks are pretty popular in Scandinavia countries and Italy.
Yeh, him and Carl Barks are popular in Southern and Northern Yoorup
>Yoorup
Okay, Murican.
>(everywhere but in the USA)
Seething.
Didn't the Nu-tales show draw more directly from the original comics than the 80s show? Why be such a sperg about it?
because nu-tales is for family values rejecting buttholes
>Didn't the Nu-tales show draw more directly from the original comics than the 80s show?

The virgin boomer western Donald Duck
The chad based Japanese Donald Duck
>Anon doesn't know that Japanese manga, especially Osama Tezuka's manga, was inspired by Carl Barks comics
>Don Rosa created comics following the example of Carl Barks
Post the full manga so we can make a thread on it
Happy Birthday to him! I love listening to his streams, the guy is incredibly interesting.
When he dies his legacy dies with him
Cope Frank. You will never have a legacy.
Happy birthday to my favorite Don Rosa!
Reject modernism (Nu-Ducktales), embrace tradition (Donald Duck comics)!
Truly Keno

>So, I was wrong about this, turns out he meant literally what he put on the sign
gee
Are Americans that ignorant with Ducks universe? At the age of the internet you would expect them to do a quick Google/Wikipedia search.
Seriously though, why is Duck universe material that unpopular to USA (besides Ducktales) ?
Εven South America gives much more love to Duck universe.

Happy Birthday KDHR
One year closer to death.
Then I can finally stop seeing threads about this homosexual.

I will keep posting the image long after he dies and there is nothing you can do about it
You're going to die before him
Especially if you're jabbed
I hope he fricking dies soon so that pic can get fricked.
He cheats on his wife and is into findom and his fanfiction sucks. Literally cannot wait for his death.
>findom
I guess I shouldn't really be surprised that being dommed by a Finnish person is a specific fetish.
Legit hilarious that there's people malding over this madlads skills & chutzpah on a scale similar to a simp who got rejected by a E-girl.

What is your favorite Don Rosa comic? To me, is The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck.
Dinsey's Ken Penders
Don Rosa has talent, unlike Ken Penders.
>Don Rosa is just some dude
>not a Spanish hidalgo
He is of Italian origin.
>Says he's a fan of Mort Weisinger era Superman and would like to write his comic
>DC never gives him a call and pitches him an out of continuity Superman book
Is Mort still alive
Mort is imMORTal since he appeared inside a comic book
Are there really people who know Ducktales but not Duck comics?
Probably a lot because TV shows and movies are more widely seen than comics, at least in the U.S.
Nice
>71
Wot? Only that? Seriously, i thought he was like 90ish already...
Yeah that means he doesn't die soon. Frick.
I want the same pic as OP except with the sign laying on his corpse. That would be funny.
Based, keep up the good work brother.
