This show's fans got fricktarded but I agree it deserved at least a second season. It was fun, and full of hot-ass prostitutes for the whole family. I like westerns and outer space.
And this show is exactly where joss whedon's quippy bullshit 100% works and is appropriate.
    Movie wasn't bad either.
Jewel Statie got medium-size fake breasts but I I don't think she's been shaking them on Onlyfans yet

I disagree about the movie. I thought the TV show was a miracle, a once in a lifetime run that could never be repeated. and I would bet a lot of money that a season 2 would have SUCKED. evidence: the fricking movie that rehashes the plot of the show BADLY and is just all around mediocre schlock, complete with the hacky decision to kill off a if not THE "heart of the show" type comic relief character, to establish "stakes" as hack whedon would say. brilliant. now your movie ends on a sad note. it wasn't the grand finale of Firefly that one would hope for, it was the funeral. literally.

I disagree that season 2 would’ve sucked because the movie sucked. The movie was made like 3 years after the show and you could tell it had a fan service quality to it. A season right after the first, especially when the finale was one of the best episodes of the season, the momentum was there for a good follow up season

Yeah I said everything I need to about how the show's megafans are generally waterhead autismo baboons thanks

if you're implying that I'm a megafan of the show you couldn't be further from the truth. I watched it once in like 2010.

They knew there wasn't going to be a second season when they made the movie, dumbass
They killed the preacher man too
The last thing that happened in the movie was the heroes broadcasting their vindication to everybody and the unstoppable bad guy repenting of his ways and giving up
        you dumb as shit

Yeah okay I'm readjusting my expectations here would you have preferred an ending where nothing 'bad' happens, like they did with Alvin & The Chipmunks or The Smurfs you fricking giant baby frickface

imagine defending a nostalgiagrab slash whiny "loveletter to the fans" slash grief therapy session for the cast, made a mere three years after the show, that totally misses the tone of the show.

                >totally misses the tone of the show
This is what your school diagnostician meant when they told you that you have an embarrassing brain-frick developmental problem that makes it hard for you to react to new stimulus.
The show's opening scenes were 10000000% deader than a doornail on tone with the show. So was the scene in the bar. So was the visit to the wacky computer buddy man.
It was shot very differently because it wasn't on a sound stage. This change, and the parts of the movie that didn't taste exactly like your daily mayonnaise sandwich, rubbed your poor little thinky parts raw and set you into a panic state.
You will never recover and there's no cure for the smear of shit on your brain.

I believe you're genuine. you actually can't tell the difference. I cannot relate but I accept that this is your authentic experience. you thought the movie was good. probably because you were the actual "fan" in this scenario and you NEEDED it to be good. cope.

It did huge business and was reviewed almost universally positively
You're saying dismissive things about 'therapy sessions' and 'love letters' on one side of your mouth and saying that other people don't understand soul on the other.
lol you have a personalized education plan it might as well be a death warrant

The second season might have been good, they very wisely left themselves plenty of mysteries to sort out, like who the blue glove men were, and so on. Plenty of stories between the various flashbacks to build on. Lots of staple plots from old westerns to act out.

I still don't know how a complete soiboi homosexual like Whedon somehow made a based show where neo-Confederates are the heroes. It's not even subtle. Mal straight up tells some Union sympathizers that they'll "rise again" someday in one episode.

That's because the cast was oversaturated with diversity. Two black leads makes even white self haters tune out. Otherwise it has intetesting stories and great performances all around. It surprises with how good it is as a whole.

Moore isn't some larping tumblr gay commie, he's capable of nuance and has an obvious respect for general libertarianism

The bad guy black bounty hunter in the last episode has the same name as some confederate pro-slavery guy.

They are giving this anniversary attention to the point of the sticky from 3am today in order to distract attention from Avatar II, and the re-release of Avatar 1, in a few days.

This show used to be an icon for nerd culture and now it's in the chud zone for being confederate propaganda. Funny
