The smart move would be too cut a deal with JK where she could continue to make her Fantastic Beasts movies and in exchange she'll allow another Harry Potter movie without as much creative control.
I think the diminishing box office returns from each Fantastic Beasts has already decided that series is done but they'll come back for more Potter. Warner has frick all else so she'd be giving up way too much by losing creative control of Potter.
Make a series without already established characters. Just someone in the universe. A squib becoming a wizard or is the saviour; Jesus being a squib or something. Azkaban stories, Auror stories, alleys beyond diagon and knockturn. They've got so much shit to go with. Norf wizards, a wizard greggs
