          >Mad max suddenly regaining popularity
Didn't happen. A female oc hijacked the IP and a noncharacter named MAx was there to justify the use of the Mad Max IP.
And you can see the result with the short legs of FR and the reception of Furiosa
It should have been its own IP and they should have paid a plate of soup to a hobo to write better characters, dialogue and action scenes. It would have probably required 10 minutes.

It's because at a glance it looks "woke". Female protagonist, white male villain, no Mad Max, etc. But you're right, it is actually great and is not really like that at all. The early trailers with unfinished/unpolished CGI also did it no favors, everyone thought it would be a CG shitfest because of that, but it also isn't.

Nothing to really be done about it, the people who have decided that it's woke garbage and blindly hate it will never come around and watch it. They will continue to hate it years from now and parrot inaccurate information and misinformed opinions to the end of time instead of letting the movie prove them wrong.

I am a miserable curmudgeon and I enjoyed the film thoroughly. It wasn't as great as Fury Road and it had some issues, but I was very concerned it would be shit but it wasn't. Lots of fun things, lots of imaginative stuff, Dementus is great and the kid who plays youngest Furiosa is really good. The History Man narration was one of my favorite things in the series.

Definitely some things I didn't like- only a few really bad CGI moments, and some callbacks to Fury Road I didn't like, but mostly I was surprised to enjoy the callbacks.

Furiosa in Fury Road was a lot more interesting than this b***h is like filling two roles here Max and hers which is fricking stupid also the movie feels more like it was made by Disney

When all of Hollywood trains everyone in to thinking your movie is shit because the lead is a gay black trans girl with one leg and down syndrome working at IHOP to beat up white guys for looking at her wrong. This is the problem of Hollywood, everyone just thinks your shows or movies that come out anymore are utter and complete shit.

      It's a legitimately good film.
The only question is how did it fail so hard.

Pic unrelated. 2016's Passengers was spoiled by feminist critics who actively told people not to see it.

On the contrary if they made a Ken movie that focused on him more than Barbie it would make gorillions. Hollywood forgot that girls like boys doing cool things

Problem is you can't shit out 10 years of goyslop and then complain when the people see the goyslop logo on the product and tell you to frick off.
It's possible that there's good product in there but over the last 10 years it's been made abundantly clear that goyslop tastes awful so I'm not buying a product that has it on the label.
