What makes it funny isn't the toilet humor, it's the two main characters' directness and complete lack of reverence towards everything that most people hold as important. They are two extremely honest people in a world full of bullshitters.
The music video segments usually sucked because Mike Judge had nothing to say about most of them. He was also too scared to mock any black artists no matter how silly their music videos were.
My uncle is nearly 50 and a high level executive with KPMG and he loved this show in his 20s as I recall him always watching it and imitating the characters
