Lords of Salem was alright. The best of his films that I've seen. I didn't watch his Halloween movies because I was done with the story after the original two from the 70s-80s, didn't feel like more needed to be told

I know it gets shit on for the redneck Rob Zombieisms (which I think is fine you don’t get a lot of poor white trash culture in movies anymore anyways) but Halloween movies can get actually pretty uncomfortable to watch when the killing starts
Like the scene where Annie (the kid from Halloween 4) is naked on the ground just screaming is kinda unsettling, and her death scene with Brad Doriuf is actually pretty damn sad to watch
and Tyler Mane’s physicality is at least equal to Kane Hodder’s undead Jason which doesn’t get much credit either.
There’s certainly more going on in the Zombie movies than there is to talk about with the new Halloweens which come of as terrified to do anything new and keep it safe and boring

      Anonymous

That's exactly why I like Rob Zombie's Halloween movies. They're a different take on Halloween that actually isn't afraid of gore or showing Michael's physicality. Zombie's Michael killing people is pretty damn brutal and, like you said, Annie's death, Dourif seeing her death and, hell, even Taylor-Compton crying are all top tier.

        Anonymous

Yeah..... They made Michael into Jason. I'm not even sarcastic or cynical.
Rob zombie made Michael into Jason. Including ghost mom. Is so fricking moronic.
Jason is like a butcher. Like a wrestler. Michael is meant to be like a surgeon. Like a ninja. Silent quick kills in the shadow.
That's why Jason has a machete and Michael has a knife.
Jason is the brute force. Michael is the shadow Boogeyman.
        Rob zombie MUST hate Halloween

Can rob zombie make a movie without killing defenseless victims? Yes he's done it TWICE.
can he make a movie without trashy rednecks? Yes. Twice.
Can rob zombie do non horror movies? Yes twice.
                The Munsters
And superbeasto. Both comedies. Neither are full horror. Neither have trailer park trashy rednecks.

                So
My point again. Can, rob zombie do a movie about a carnival...... ?
                Not with homeless rednecks.
                Not with killing.
Why can't he do a movie about his childhood memories?

I forgot to mention that I saw him perform here in Hamilton, Ontario in early 2002. It was the first concert that I had went to since seeing Michael Jackson in Toronto in 1984 when I was 6 with my family while I couldn't hear out of my right ear for a few weeks after Zombie's concert.

The best part is that I was right dead center at the front of the mosh pit with this cute goth girl in front of me with about 300 people pressing against us. The goth girl started grinding her ass against my crotch and looked back at me before hiking her skirt up and took my right hand and put it up her shirt so I could squeeze her braless tit while she reached behind and unzipped my jeans, pulled out my engorged member and positioned it between her thighs and started rubbing it between them until she then arched her back, took my dick and put it inside her to which I started pumping her tight little pussy until the end of the concert as I was able to keep myself from cumming until I finally did. After the concert was over and the crowd started to dissipate there was enough room that she turned around, pulled her skirt down and then gave me a kiss with tongue before whispering in my ear "Thanks, see you later" before leaving and disappearing into the crowd.

I never saw her again but like to think that she had my bastard spawn and is currently doing OnlyFans to support herself and our child.

Finally, before the show started there was a roadie getting things ready when he turned around and pointed to his chest and the T-shirt he was wearing that had the NSYNC logo to which someone yelled out "gay!" and everyone laughed.

After the concert and my sexual encounter was over, I went home and watched Return of the Living Dead while eating pizza and drinking Strongbow Apple Cider before falling asleep!!!FACT!!!

So rob zombie cannot make anything else besides redneck gory trash. All his movies feel the same. A bunch of rednecks killing people

He might have made some good movies, I really don't know. I've watched pretty much all of them (they were on while I was in prison). The Devil's Rejects is trash. I hate it. I wanted to like House of 1000 corpses. The trouble I have with Rob's movies is that I was a huge fan of his music forever. And I went in expecting a horror movie that was like his music and the artwork on his albums and it's just very different from that so I was let down. I was expecting peak 1970's monster horror or something. Maybe some infernal robots. I'm a mental patient though. Someone should let me direct a film really.
