    Yep, but what's "with it" is so bad I don't feel left out at all. I feel privileged to not get it.

      yeah, like 7 years ago or whenever the social media era really took hold. i dont even know whats going on anymore. i find it extremely hard to relate to people because i just dont get the paradigm we live under. im only 32 and i feel alienated from the society i live in just because i didnt want to kowtow to the corporate surveillance state. its gay af.

      Literally me.
      But I believe I'm better off for it.

    I never fell for what was most popular when I grew up, so in that way I was never "with it" at all. Mostly just listened to the music and watched the films my parents thought were good, and developing my taste from there.

    Honestly, everyone who has ever listened to pop music under any era should be put in a gas chamber.

      I didn't like the Cinemaphile kid at my school because I wasn't into anime or the stupid cat pictures. I just went on forums for specific games.

      Now he's happily married with kids and I'm stuck here, watching anime and listening to you freaks ;_;

      so you think

    In a way... i mean, i always liked or disliked things regardless of mass acceptance. The way i see it there is no direct relationship between quality and popularity. what´s happened is lots of things i used to like have been modified to appeal to larger audiences and i´ve not been able to get behind that change.

    Like i used to like SW but i don´t like Disney Wars, i used to like Doctor Who but i don´t like the new thing they are doing with it now. That same story repeats with several western IPs be it in comics, games, movies or shows so i get that feeling that i used to be with it, but then they changed it and now i don´t get it.

    It cannot happen to me because I am online every day after work. Being online is what keeps you "with it" these days. Abraham never had the internet so it happened to him.

    Sure. I feel it deeply because I used to be a music festival (mostly EDM or raves, but the odd metal one too) goer in my 20s but I'm completely out of the loop nowadays. And I'll never understand streaming culture, besides the surface friend simulator angle.

      Name five original properties from your childhood that you were into that were not sequels, prequels, international re-releases, or comprised entirely from samples of releases from before your life span.

    I don't know shit about what's popular with normalgays, I haven't left my house in almost 6 years, I just read eroge and sometimes load this place up out of habit. 40 next month and don't remember a time before I lived like this, let alone reminisce about it.
