Has Nolan become too successful so now there’s nobody around him to pull him aside and say
>Chris, nobody wants to watch this.

THIS SUMMER
THIS MOVIE
WILL BE
THE BOMB
I guess he thinks his name alone is enough to open a movie, like Spielberg in the 80s. Notice how his name is more prominent than the actors.
Why isn't Emma Dumonts name on the poster?
all the big directors/writers/producers need a moron wrangler, look at what happened to George Lucas and James Cameron.
>three hours long
>rated R
Nolan isn't exactly known for his character dramas, I wonder how he is going to pull this off.
What IS Nolan known for exactly?
Love, TARS, love.
cool imax movies
poorly mixed audio
summer Hollywood action blockbusters made for the 90iq american hordes and 75 iq turd world indians/spics (no joke, go look at the comments for the oppenheimer trailer and every other comment is made by Rajesh Singh shitting his pants literally in awe over the shiny explosion graphics)
Used to be for smaller tight movies with decent twists, but his movies have become increasingly bloated and sloppy.
Being a Reddit filmmaker.
Interstellar was awful.
Oppenheimer was a homo
Not only does nobody want to watch it, but he made it
>three hours long
>rated R
so even the teenagers and midwits that would normally show up to some schlock like Tenet are going to be giving this a pass. that Black person/troony barbie movie that is debuting the same day is going to absolutely mog this at the box office.
It's one of the few movies I'm looking forward to this year.
This, at least it isn't another remake/sequel of an old franchise or capeshit
It's the only movie I'm actually considering going to the multiplex to see in the near future.
OP IS A gay
>Jewheimer
No thanks
It has been that way since tdk
I prefer Batman Begins, TDK and Inception Nolan, when he was top of his game.
>too successful
hes probably still seething about those 5-ish years the three amigos mexican directors took away all the oscars from him.
Is there gonna be footage in Japan? I'm currently living in the land of the rising Sun and I don't wanna offend anybody in the cinema. Maybe it is better to watch in MAX in a few months
He's actually gonna be bombing Japan again in real time and streaming it during the premiere
>Some of you guys are alright. Don't go to Nagasaki tomorrow
It's rated R for nudity so don't expect any significant war scenes.
I wanna watch it
I'm not going to watch it.
It looks like a terrible film.
>Bad dialogue
>Not like what happened in real life
>"We're putting a team together!"
>LE BOMB EXPLODED??
>Not enough smoking cigarettes
>Not enough swinging/partying scientists
>Not enough CGI EXTRAS AND BUILDINGS IN THE BACKGROUND, the Manhattan project included the work of over 140,000 scientists for fricks sake.
>Uninspired music/score
>Too many celebrities instead of casting GOOD actors
The R rating was probably guaranteed because of the chain smoking, so they decided they may as well sling in Florence Pugh’s breasts
its the only movie there is to watch all year so far
Between this and Tenet he's used up all his favours/good will right?
From now on if he wants to get a budget to work with he probably needs to make a successful blockbuster like batman movies or inception or dunkirk
True. Everyone only wants to see movies made for children.
In a time when everything is laced with heavy irony, Nolan is painfully sincere. This also makes his movies infinitely memeable. I respect it tbh.
His films were always go from decent to great so why not. What else am I gonna watch, Barbie? no
i'm watching both barbie and oppenheimer
>Dark Knight Rises should've been R-rated
>Dunkirk should've been R-rated
>Tenet should've been R-rated
>Finally makes an R-rated movie about the atom bomb
>Rating is for nudity and not for japs being incinerated and vaporized
I hate Nolan so much it's unreal.
>>Dark Knight Rises should've been R-rated
No way Warner Bros would have allowed that.
something about the way they're glorifying the dude who created the atom bomb seems unsettling to me. you look at that poster and they're turning him into a rock star, or a superhero.
>rated R
That means we're going to get some super based realistic Jap flesh melting scenes
Like a live action Barefoot Gen but with Matt Damon doing dumb quips
ABSOLUTELY BASED
Christopher Nolan movies have the WORST toys and action figures of all time.
Considering he watched tenet and thought “yea, this is ready for the theaters”, I’d say no, he doesn’t have anyone to check him
Cinemaphile is truly delusional if they think this movie is going to flop
