When instead of making a good series (of any kind) you decided, according to your own words, to make a series to own and troll the "chuds". Well then you get she hulk. When you do that first step everything else, not funny comedy, what is the goal of this series etc doesn't matter or is a bonus, which we meta comic readers can laugh/get angry at or argue about, but that is it.
Not saying you are wrong, but everything can be scaled. A dinner by your gf can be shit, but when she makes it with her vegan friend it gets much worse.
My favorite part of She-hulk press wasn't when the female writing team said they didn't give a shit about comics, that was expected.
It's when they also said they had absolutely no knowledge of the American legal system and were hired to make what was SUPPOSED to be a cross of Mahvel and legal drama
Who is hiring these people? What is the point? What the frick is happening? They hired a writing team composed of people who were ignorant and dismissive of the material THEY WERE HIRED TO WRITE
Well I would say, but I am drunk right now, that this is a long time plan. all the 30+ year olds and most of the 20+year olds are considered lost by the studios. They put out "rings of power", "she hulks", "wheels of times", "SW" ST disoveries etc so that people who grow up don't know anything else. To them series like Velma or She hulk will just be the norm. How easy it is going to be to make anything for those people. A series/movie/comic which is kind of a accurate to the source material would be a masterpiece.
As for the hiring, well important dudes have sons and daughters, they went to universities, you have to do something with them. And they don't want to marry or make their own REAL (as in making money) business. And not everyone can end up in politics. Plus it is cheaper. why hire a good writer and a good director, when you can just hire a bad one and hope people will watch it, because "not watching the Woman King means you are pro slavery and a nazi".
>"not watching the Woman King means you are pro slavery and a nazi".
It's funny, their original choice for the lead was Lupita Nyong'o, an African actress held in high esteem
The braindead producers for The Woman King decided to send her to Benis to learn the history of what they were doing. She backed out when she realized that the brave kingdom of female warriors fighting against the European slavers depicted in the movie were, in actuality, a tribe that was built on slavery of other Africans. Not just slavery but rampant and unrestrained human sacrifice too
Yea the comedy was shit no doubt. But whining they didn't consult expert lawyers for a show is peak autism.

I'm no law expert, but I very much doubt Netflix Daredevil was all that realistic in that department either. The difference is, Daredevil was made by people who cared about and mostly succeeded in making a quality product, so you can suspend your disbelief on few discrepancies with real-life law.
With She-Hulk everything is just bad. Characters are bad, visuals are bad, humor is bad, action scenes are bad, villains in particular are atrocious + the show's writers kind of set themselves up for a fall when they admitted that they have no idea how to write courtroom scenes, so it stuck out.

What you wanted frickardedness?
Like her cross-examining ghosts & that other clown shoes shit?
I don’t get why they couldn’t hire a writer or two from law and order or something, I get the head writer was a comedy writer but you’d think that she would’ve tried to find at least ONE person who could do the scenes that half of the show was supposed to have
I try to imagine what I would do if I were hired to write, say, the sequel to The Notebook. Romantic Comedies aren't my thing, would I even accept the job knowing this? But hey, struggling young writer in Hollywood is offered a job, any job, how easy would it be to say no when my 2004 dodge stratus is on its last legs and I can't afford next month's rent? So I take the job for the Notebook 2. But frick, I don't *know* anything about the Notebook, what do I do? Well, presumably I'd go read the original book and watch the original movie. I might read reviews of what people liked and didn't like of these original works, maybe hop on the notebook subreddit to see what the truly obsessive fans think of it. And I'd familiarize myself with the tropes of the romantic drama genre in general.
I don't get the sense that the She-Hulk writers did any of the equivalent.
And that baffles me. I understand sometimes a job is just a job, but don't you owe it to yourself to *not* be a hack? You're writing a superhero-legal procedural, maybe pick up a She-Hulk run, watch some eps of Law and Order, to get a feel of what is expected of you?
Did you know Tom Cruise read all the Anne Rice Vampire novels to prepare for Lestat?
These broads couldn't be bothered to watch My Cousin Vinny.
Sheer Hubris.
You smoking crack if you genuinely think that She-Hulk was the most disappointing la adaptation. I can name like 10 other things that are far worse dawg.
Daredevil 2003, Electra, Blade Trinity, Catwoman, F4 2005, F4 Rise of the Silver Surfer, Fan4stic, Ghost Rider, That one ghost rider sequel that everyone forgot about, TASM 2, X-Men Last Stand, X-Men Origins Wolverine, X-Men Apocalypse, X-Men Dark Phoenix, New Mutants, Morbius, Green Lantern, BvS, Suicide Squad 2016, Justice League 2017, BoP (Decent movie but Cass in it is atrocious), WW 1984, Thor L&T, Eternals, Black Widow, Thor The Dark World, Hellboy 2019, Titans, Moon Knight-
I can keep on going
She Hulk does nothing bad other then "emasculate" the Hulk in some peoples eyes. It's a decently well written show that doesn't suffer from the Disney+ problem. I'm not trying to act like it's the second coming of christ but it's as straight forward of a Shulkie adaptation yoy could get
Oh just noticed >Decent movie
Sorry, you're just a baiting moron then.
have a nice day, moron.

Have fun with being a subhuman moron who loves to defend literal garbage. >o-o-objectively
The only objective thing here is that you should've died during your mother's childbirth.

She-Hulk was so bad people are giving Ang Lee's Hulk another shot.
Nobody with a brain had any expectations of She-Hulk, not even normalgays, so it can't possibly be "the most disapointing" anything
That said, naming a bunch of irrelevant failed capeshit to cope just outs you as a shill and gay, don't @ me
I had the barest minimum of expectations and this shitshow still failed to live up to them, so in that sense sure.
For a movie/show I expected to be actually good but ended up being a wet fart there's plenty of other candidates.
i thought it was fine but i wish they made Jen a little bit bulkier/sexier
Like i get they couldn't make her a sexbomb pinup but it should have been easy to make her look good. She looked extremely boxy for most of the show because they put her in that godawful lawyer suit.
I think she's just an over hyped character to begin with. Outside of team ups, she has like 50 decent issues to her name. That's incredibly low for a character as old as her.
She hulk needs more smash and less snark imo
More hurling tanks & villains and less 4th wall breaks, though i guess that would just make her a genderbent hulk at that point
Cool action scenes with colorful villains will do.
Villains who actually pose a threat to Jen instead of what the show did.
Heh, I now remembered how the show shills were coping. >Titania will come back and get a power-up >Wrecking Crew will come back and get a power-up
>disappointing
It's your fault for having expectations.

>when your history is so fricked up even an African says "aw hell naw"
Jesus that must have been some Aztec type shit.
Just how many shows get subject matters of X on board when their primary goal is comedy?
Holy kek, She-Hulk shills are still active. It's embarrassing.
>when their primary goal is comedy
You mean, something She-Hulk also sucked at tremendously?
Yea the comedy was shit no doubt. But whining they didn't consult expert lawyers for a show is peak autism.

Sheer Hubris.
No, the Elektra movie was far worse.
I remember thinking the tattoo guy was cool. That's about it.
The scene where Typhoid Mary forcefully lezzes out with Elektra was pretty cool. That's pretty much all I liked in it.
Did Matt ever find out that hi gf and Typhoid Mary are the same person?
You smoking crack if you genuinely think that She-Hulk was the most disappointing la adaptation. I can name like 10 other things that are far worse dawg.
Well, go on then. I'm curious now.

Most of those are way better than She-Hulk.

Spirit of Vengeance is better than the MCU.
The only thing I remember about that movie is the pissing fire scene.
Nobody with a brain had any expectations of She-Hulk, not even normalgays, so it can't possibly be "the most disapointing" anything
That said, naming a bunch of irrelevant failed capeshit to cope just outs you as a shill and gay, don't @ me
stop repeating what reddit and israelitetube says drone
She never had a chance they went straight to the flanderized version of the character.
I had the barest minimum of expectations and this shitshow still failed to live up to them, so in that sense sure.
For a movie/show I expected to be actually good but ended up being a wet fart there's plenty of other candidates.
Hallie Beary's Catwoman
Elektra
That's unironically hot wtf
>Having expectations for MCU

i thought it was fine but i wish they made Jen a little bit bulkier/sexier

I think she's just an over hyped character to begin with. Outside of team ups, she has like 50 decent issues to her name. That's incredibly low for a character as old as her.
She doesn't have a single decent issue, The only reason she's popular is because this poster was on the walls of comic shops and gyms.
She hulk needs more smash and less snark imo
More hurling tanks & villains and less 4th wall breaks, though i guess that would just make her a genderbent hulk at that point

Pic source.
Featureless nudity really does it for me for some reason.
There are some which no one ever watched. Like inhumans.
Can't be a disappointment by definition. If you had literally any expectation for a Scott Buck-ran show after Dexter, I have a bridge to sell you.
