That Brubaker space arc where they went after Vulcan wasn't that bad.

The fact vulcan exists at all is bad making everything he touches bad. Tainted treefruit and all that innit

I like how Neal Adams drew him and his powers. That's about it.

Feels like it shouldn't be too hard to have a Cyclops & Havok mini-series, right? Have them go on a road trip, get into trouble, explore their different philosophies, have them b***h about their deadbeat dad, then ultimately have them save the day and grow closer as brothers. I'd buy that trade paperback.

They already did that. We got this out of it.

        >Corsair has 4 sons
Were the Summers parents trying for a girl or something?

          Adam isn't Chris' son. He's a genetically engineered Shi'ar/Human hybrid using Scott's mom's dna

He isn't really Corsair's son. He is more like a genetically engineered clone baby. Also the cousin to Xavier's daughter.

He and Polaris both have the same problem of being superpowered characters whose only real character traits are "not wanting to be superheroes". Not a lot of blood in that stone.

90s X-Factor from #71 is probably your best place to start if you want a good run that has him in a prominent role.

Havok and Polaris were both introduced late in Silver Age X-Men, too late to really take off with readers at the time, and didn't make the cut when the book relaunched. Like said, during what ended up becoming the big definitive X-Men run, Havok and Polaris are defined by wanting to lead normie civilian lives and retire from being superheroes, and keep getting forced back into action when one or both get mind controlled by a villain. It set a pattern that they both got turned into villains in a lot of stories over the years, usually through mind control or possession.

90s Marvel had a better idea of what to do with Havok, to play up him being the younger brother stuck in Cyclops' shadow, have him get put in a leadership position because everyone just expects he'll be a natural at it like his brother.

In modern times Havok got defined by this story

      Nah.

where Rick Remender made basic b***h liberal talking points from the later decades of the 20th century only to find by the standards of 21st century identity politics he may as well have had Havok wearing a swastika and biting the heads off babies. Other X-book writers pushed back hard against the ideas on that page, and have been punishing Havok for it ever since, he's currently the Goblin Queen's pathetic simp.

What makes Havok interesting is that he's a fricking loser failure. Scott's a hero because he was drafted into a war at like 15. But Alex actually want's to do good with or without the X-Men. He's a male girl failure and I love him.

    It's a Summers

I guess their stories only have 3 variants

    >Love triangle or some shit that has to do with relationships with women
    >Sick of power and authority
    >Some shit about time travel
