Yep, I went last week to see Killers of the Flower Moon. It was my day off and it was just me and a bunch of old people in there. There were a few other people also on their own
Of course but in serious films not blockbusters for children and naggers. Guess what if you go to places where adults hang out people act like adults (and don't care if you are alone ) . I would never step foot in a mall cinema alone though , that is asking to be bullied.
>I would never step foot in a mall cinema alone though , that is asking to be bullied.
Imagine being a grown man and being afraid of going to very casual entertainment venues out of fear of bullying. Do you play out different scenarios in your mind where chads and stacies notice you're alone and start making fun of you? kek

I've always gone to the movies with friends when they were around but I've been going to the movies alone since they day I could drive at 16. I'm 34 now and still go alone all the time.
No. Why would I do that. There's nothing good to look forward to, and there's nothing I can't enjoy watching alone at home just the same. Why dress up and drive for that. Going with someone you can share the experience with makes all the difference. Single watchers make me cringe, get a girl or something ffs
Nah she’s just “reinventing her life” like every normie woman does every 6 months, including generic women platitude statements like “if there’s less chairs at my table this year it means I found who my real friends are 100%” shit
Saw Interstellar by myself at the cinema. It's the best way to watch it. I think you'd need a really expensive home cinema to get anywhere near the same experience.
I got to movies alone all the time. It's the best way to go >can arrive any time you want and only one to blame for being early/late is yourself >don't have to worry about other person's experience >don't have to share any snacks you buy/bring
Growing up in a small town, my friends were only interested in blockbuster action movies, so I'd go with them to those movies but anything else I'd go by myself. The few times I was able to get someone to go with me, the enjoyment was sucked out of the movie because they hated being there.
Back when movie pass was a good deal, I saw almost every movie in theaters and went by myself. I would get good seats too because I never needed more than one seat, so I could get a packed theater and find the line seat in the middle because everyone usually needs two seats. People did not like me when I would squeeze through
>movies as a "social" sort of activity
one of the most israeli marketing tricks in late years. movies should be mainly a solo sort of activity and then a date, or family one. going to the movies for a first date is one of the most retarded things to do for a good reason.
I went to 11am Cape shit screening on a Wednesday. I brought in my pockets a fried chicken sandwich, a rum and coke, and my vape pen. I was the only one in the theater. Best matinee ever
going alone is better because then you can sneak into other movies after. plus it's easier to move seats if you sit next to someone noisy, or smelly, or black.
I saw sicario alone once when I had to kill 3/4 hours before meeting a friend
there were 4 other people in the theater, and they were all also alone, one was even a woman
I happened to be in New York when X-Men 2 premiered, went to a cinema somewhere down 42nd Street the next day to see it. Walking back after I saw Patrick Stewart across the road surrounded by cameras.
I often watch movies when I go on vacation. After walking all day sitting and watching a movie for a few hours feels like a good alternative to going to a bar, and fuck clubs. Went to prague to see 70mm oppy some months ago.
After that you go get tipsy and back to your room to sleep.
Traveling alone is a good time. You do exactly what you want when you want and don't need to care about anyone with you
I only remember doing it once, I was at the mall & my parents werent going to be able to pick me up in time so I watched a movie while I waited for them.
>be me in uni (autistic khh virgin) >late to class and pissed all morning >its in the theater style hall which is cramped >all the seats are full except a few in the very middle >go to front row and see 2nd row that doesn't have front row seats in front of it (for handicaps) >a cute girl is sitting in one of those seats >there is an empty seat next to her which has a front row seat in front of it >tell her to move to the cramped seat so I can sit in the nice seat >she acts pissed and asks why can't I just sit in the empty seat >tell her I need the leg room
(to be fair I didn't think she'd mind since I'm tall and she was very short) >she proceeds to go out of her way to sit next to me for the rest of the semester but never says anything >corners me once by getting on a nearly empty bus and sitting right across from me >I still never said or did shit
Yeah, had to get away from the wife and her retardation, so just walked around, found a theater, there was nothing good to watch so I fucking PAID to see the Assassin's Creed movie.
I remember a bridge scene where he jumped, but nothing else.
I rode to mall with a friend before he started work at the theater nearby. He said you can stay and watch movies or take my car home.
Watched like 4 movies in a row. >Men in Black 3 >The Amazing Spiderman >Seeking a Friend for the End of the World >Ted
going to the cinema midday by yourself is ideal for experience kino. it’s only pathetic if you’re going on friday nights or midnight screenings by yourself
yep. I remember seeing baby driver at 10 AM on a saturday and being the only person in the theatre, and it was the best movie-going experience I’ve ever had
Yep, I went last week to see Killers of the Flower Moon. It was my day off and it was just me and a bunch of old people in there. There were a few other people also on their own
Sounds comfy

this
it's a very comfy experience
>that is asking to be bullied.
kek bullied by who? nobody cares who you are or that you came alone
He's probably refering to that one reddit picture
>I would never step foot in a mall cinema alone though , that is asking to be bullied.

To watch a movie, moron
>To watch a movie, moron
but you can do that from home retard, for free without wasting time and gas
I'm going to get a girl. And you'll be going home alone.
i've never been to the theater with another person and i go once a week
Went yesterday to see The Killer. Enjoyed myself thoroughly.
She must be very unattractive.
Nah she’s just “reinventing her life” like every normie woman does every 6 months, including generic women platitude statements like “if there’s less chairs at my table this year it means I found who my real friends are 100%” shit
She looks like the wrestler Greg "the hammer" Valentine, son
You’re a funny guy
>roastie full, baby
Yes a matinée for Paddington 2.
I was the youngest person there, everyone else was also alone over 40.
Cringe

no am a danger to society so i stay hold up.
I went to the cinema at 10am after an all night drugs binge and slept for 2hrs
Back when movie pass was a good deal, I saw almost every movie in theaters and went by myself. Yeah most of the time I go by myself, I pretend other people there are my friends and feel less lonely for a couple hours
Jesus millennials are pathetic

Yeah, it's not a big deal at all.
always do
No, it's pathetic, makes people look at you funny.
I went to 11am Cape shit screening on a Wednesday. I brought in my pockets a fried chicken sandwich, a rum and coke, and my vape pen. I was the only one in the theater. Best matinee ever
Yes I saw the Phantom Menace in 3d and drank lots of beer while listening to the Red Letter Media rifftrax they released that day. It was kino.
Shin Godzilla
John Wick 4
yes 2-3 times
it was a great experience
Nah I'd just pirate/stream if I was gonna be by myself, I'm cheap and see theaters as a social thing
once to watch terminator salvation since nobody i knew wanted to watch it.
going alone is better because then you can sneak into other movies after. plus it's easier to move seats if you sit next to someone noisy, or smelly, or black.
That sounds smart, plus if it's one of those theaters with reserved/assigned seats, you can just see which ones aren't reserved with your phone
I saw sicario alone once when I had to kill 3/4 hours before meeting a friend
there were 4 other people in the theater, and they were all also alone, one was even a woman
Plenty...
My faves were Mars Attacks, Escape From LA and Grosse Point Blank
I'm going to see Godzilla: Minus One in IMAX by myself. It's a fucking 5pm showing and everyone else is too busy wageslaving.
that's some nice looking popcorn
Always wanted to but never have found a good reason to do it
Yes. It’s a great opportunity to get a break from the wife and kids
Once. I went to see the subtitled version of Your New. It was what you'd expect from an anime movie, crowd wise.
always
I happened to be in New York when X-Men 2 premiered, went to a cinema somewhere down 42nd Street the next day to see it. Walking back after I saw Patrick Stewart across the road surrounded by cameras.
yes 3 times, but now I just stream movies for free
>still waiting for Oppenheimer on HD

Yep, used to go a lot in the 90's and early 00's.
i havent seen a movie where i wasnt alone in over 10 years
Going to go watch Vertigo alone in less than an hour, have watched well over 100 films by myself this year alone
i went to go see Unsane 2018 right after getting out of medical school classes still dressed in my scrubs
gave some cuties a few scares 🙂
Yes, yesterday in fact, not only did I go alone, I was literally the only person in the theater.
Watching movies is a solitary experience, it seems like a bad place to take a date.
Of course. This guide did wonders for me.
or, ya know, just stop pretending anyone gives a shit about what your doing all the time.
>antisocial introvert will do all of these instead of just walk in to the theater and watch the movie
Yikes.
Captcha: 2HAAAA
Doesn't work anymore, Kinoplex started special training for employees to identify singles.
>sit down next to some girl
>after two minutes she gets up and changes seats
Should have asked her for the time to make her more comfortable.
next time try this
http://www.youtube.com/v/kTFZyl7hfBw
>be me in uni (autistic khh virgin)
>late to class and pissed all morning
>its in the theater style hall which is cramped
>all the seats are full except a few in the very middle

what a tsundere
you're a dumbass
was she cute?
Yeah, had to get away from the wife and her retardation, so just walked around, found a theater, there was nothing good to watch so I fucking PAID to see the Assassin's Creed movie.
I remember a bridge scene where he jumped, but nothing else.
been by myself and with the gang. once you work the night shift its over
I rode to mall with a friend before he started work at the theater nearby. He said you can stay and watch movies or take my car home.
Watched like 4 movies in a row.
>Men in Black 3
>The Amazing Spiderman
>Seeking a Friend for the End of the World
>Ted
I've gone to movies alone more than I've gone to them with others
No but I'd do it at least once some day
Honestly no, I'm too self conscious and will download tinder just so I can match some pig and watch a movie with her.
going to the cinema midday by yourself is ideal for experience kino. it’s only pathetic if you’re going on friday nights or midnight screenings by yourself
Honestly, a Sunday afternoon showing by yourself, in a premium theatre with the comfy recliner chairs is top tier.
yep. I remember seeing baby driver at 10 AM on a saturday and being the only person in the theatre, and it was the best movie-going experience I’ve ever had
I went to spiderman 3 by myself when I got my license and a shitty beat up car. Wasn’t worth.
I went to see Oppenheimer in iMax
was kino, brought a tonne of food but ended up ordering a huge bucket of pocorn and a fanta ice drink for myself
booked it at 11PM so the theatre would be empty, sat right in the middle
Yes. I saw Raimi's Spider-Man 2 when I was 10 years old. My friend couldn't go
It can be quite jarring if you're an autistic
zero chance she has autism
I dont go to the movies at all. Even if there was something worth seeing watching a movie in public with other people is weird
zoom zoom
I've always liked movies more than anyone I know. I'd go see the popular movies with friends and everything else by myself.
Now I just go see a movie once in a while on my own when I want to get out of the house. Very few people seem interested in theaters anymore.
