I can't watch a single drama with my roommate because there's "too much talking"
he prefers action movies like fast and furious, and comedies like the inbetweeners
even the equalizer is hard for him too sit through
don't hate the normies, pity them
Almost every movie I’ve watched with a girl but I finally realized that women are too dumb to understand anything beyond a Disney movie or romcom so I just gave up.
Literally any movie you watch with a girl. An exgirlfriend asked me what my favourite movie of all time was and I said the thing because it’s top 5 and I knew blade runner, dune and there will be blood would go over her head.
So anyway she starts talking immediately as she’s horrified that they’re shooting at the dog, so she misses the first 5 minutes from being upset at the tv, she then misses out on pretty much every single clue about who’s a thing. She was talking during the blood test scene so she didn’t understand why the blood suddenly transformed. In the end she said it was exciting and women usually like horror stuff so I guess she wasn’t lying but holy fuck I was so annoyed.
Date better women. Me and my girl just watched Hellraiser 1 and 2 back to back.
One time I put on The Matrix at a party when I was like 17 and none of the guys there got it. They didn't understand that they were in "the computer" and thought Morpheus was a dumb name.
This. My gf loves all sorts of movies and actually pays attention to them, some of the movies I’ve shown her that she now loves include Rivers Edge, In Bruges, Children of Men, The House That Jack Built, The Wailing, Videodrome, Midnight Cowboy, Last Picture Show, Being There. Those are just ones that we watched recently that spring to mind, it’s nice dating someone with similar taste who isn’t a complete airhead like most chicks when it comes to movies. The first time her and I hung out at my house we watched Thirst and the first couple episodes of Eastbound and Down and had a great time, that’s when I knew I should keep that girl around
After watching Children of Men, someone a row back from me in the theater said, sounding somewhat distraught, “I thought this was going to be a funny movie about men having babies!”

Original, I don’t care if you hate it, I know it’s not great but to me it’s amazing. For me it’s nostalgia in purest form and reminds me of my dad, the relationship between Paul and Leto is one of the strongest parts of the movie. The 5th favourite is Conan the barbarian and again, I know it’s faults but I love it all the same
Jesus fucking christ do we really need this fucking thread reposted every fucking day?

No. I meet my friends and partners at book/movie discussion spots irl. My favorite was my college library near the philosophy section. However, now I'm graduated and in a new city so I'm trying to find a new place to chillax.
I don't have friends
Why are there like six decline buttons?

90% of people on Cinemaphile don't understand what's going on in The Matrix. It is one of the greatest pleb filters of all time.

Kek I wonder what they would have expected from something like In the Company of Men

Dune is one of your favorite movies? The original or the remake?

I saw the original Dune in the theater. I liked it then and I still like it now

This happened to me all the time as a child, especially with family. I eventually stopped trying to share the stuff I was interested in with them.

I knew someone that showed a friend Seven Samurai and they answered their phone in the middle of the movie and said to not pause it.

If someone tried showing me Empire of Dust I would throw a brick through his screen.
