She gets unironically blacked and then sacrifices herself
Are the comics just absolute shit? I learned through reading this chapter that Viltrum collapsed . Without revealing anything specific, do you think the way that happened made sense? Are the character arcs worth following? I’m contemplating reading the comics, but they’re so long. Also I’m not used to a non Asian Mark, it seems weird.
Honestly, it's alright, ends on a weird note
I dont remember what the press release version is, but im 90% sure whatever she/they say happened to viltirum is actually a lie
it's pretty good with some pacing issues. falls into some of the typical traps like writing characters to be moronic to create drama and some stupid crossovers but overall it's pretty solid and is better than the show.
>Without revealing anything specific, do you think the way that happened made sense?
One of the interesting things about how the backstory narrative of Invincible is constructed is that it's revealed entirely through unreliable narrators. We get some bits from Nolan, which are based on the history he's been taught by his people and what he uncovered on his own, we get some bits from Thaedus, which may be tainted by him painting his role in a better light, some we get perspectives from characters like Anissa, which are very much framed around trying to recruit Mark to supporting the Viltrum cause, and Conquest, who has an almost zealous belief in Viltrumite superiority, and eventually Thragg, who has his own agenda and also sees himself as the hero of his own story. While most of the Viltrum Empire's collapse is obviously due to the Scourge Virus
which Thadeus created
it's also left ambiguous at what point in the Viltrum Empire's history the Purge that Nolan describes occurred, and whether it preceded or succeeded Thadeus' assassination of Argall might have kicked off the purge or how much it contributed to the Viltrum Empire's rise or decline. There's no point in the story where Mark finds some Ancient Archive of Truth that feeds him objective exposition so we're left with him deciding on his own personal truth of what happened.
>Are the character arcs worth following?
Yes. Nolan and Mark's arcs in particular are very compelling and even the side characters get some good little arcs of their own. Some of the shared universe content like Guardians of the Globe and Tech Jacket are also good.
its okay, but it has way too many fricking timeskips. Like legit, it drives me up the fricking wall
>Cinemaphile loves her when she rapes mark
>seethes when she marries a black man
kek
We like the act performed on the man rather than the man she performs the act on.
Post the original
Post it.
waitin on the animated series to get here so we can get an influx in male/female male/futa rape art
I really hope the rape scene doesn't actually make it into the show since it's fricking stupid, but if it does, it'd pretty much be the ultimate litmus test Invincible's viewerbase.
I'm on the fence because on the one hand it's an important scene, but on the other my fear is that fricking Rogen and the studio will push them to play it for laughs which would be a giant disservice to the story.
I want it to show up, but only if it's played completely straight, and shown as the genuinely uncomfortable and traumatic experience the story implies it to be.
This mongolian basketweaving hellhole is already obnoxious about this scene, I can't imagine--No, I DON'T WANT TO imagine how the normies react to the animated version, if there is one.
>already obnoxious about this scene
>I DON'T WANT TO imagine how the normies react to the animated version
elaborate
>endless b***hing about "what kind of homosexual DOESN'T want to be raped by a hot woman?"
>hackle raising about how women can rape and you're Worse Than Hitler for liking her
>simps deflecting that because a woman raped someone it wasn't that bad, or wasn't "real" rape
>futagays getting EXTREMELY uppity and a swathe of futaporn of Mark getting raped
>Even MORE ammunition for "Mark is a cuck, pussy, gaylord, etc."
>Invincible discussion revolves around the scene for all of eternity
>lonely people on the internet like pic rel
so your entire complaint about the scene is that it became a topic for memes and shitposts, not anything to do with the scene itself?
That has everything to do with the scene itself
The rape scene only makes sense if she has a futa dick. Hope that gets added in the animated series.
My question is what the FRICK was going through Kirkman's head?
>Hmmm... What a nice sunny Friday!
>Got my coffee and everything. Time to work.
>...I've got it! I should rape my main character today!
Look at those thunder thighs and mega milkers. Mark was a fricking idiot for not keeping her perpetually pregnant.
This thread gave me final reasons to not watch/read it. Thanks.
You should watch it at least. The show is good.
ottley can draw, but sometimes his faces look so fricking stupid.
I find the lips hot.
This's past the point in the story where Mark's an insufferable homosexual.
The entire morality is disgustingly shabbos goy
>only good Vitrumites are those who betray their volk
>rebellion only exists because of a traitor
>greatest alien hero only has powers from vitrumite heritage
>Mark and his dad can only be gaylords from Vitrumite heritage
The vitrumites are vindicated in their claim as the best species in the setting. They're only held back by genocidally insane race traitors.
>>No no no for rape. But mass murder is ok
Frick the universe if Anissa is cut from the show.
> Frick the universe
