Hazbin Hotel became such a huge hit that it even got dubbed in several languages. Viv did that because she was aware that a lot of people in the world don't speak English. She even said at a Comic Con that she often gets messages and positive encouragement from people who have English as a second (or third or forth) language and they constantl talk about how much they love Hazbin and her characters but she feels bad that they often feel the need to apologize for their English. She thinks that English is one of the hardest languages to learn and those who can learn it are way smarter than she'll ever dream to be. She's currently trying to learn other languages and she's struggling even with the ones that are supposed to be easier (her words, not mine).

I mean, yeah, it's an animation about hell and wacky explosions and shit. Don't really know what you're expecting from someone who has dedicated their industrylife to flash and bang. I agree with you on the writing as far as that it's random and chaotic but if there's one good thing to come out of A24 it's that this can be mitigated in a writer's room with the show being far more uniform than it was before.

It "got its point across" in that it got to the end of the episode and progressed the plot but the anon was right in terms of the random placement of ideas. It gets a bit of a pass in that regard for being the pilot but I should hope it gets better with the official release. Helluva had the same issue, but tenfold because, as you said, the character's moronicness was being emphasised over the world building and semblance of an overarching narrative.
