No reason to do it >Bruce doesn't have anything on him that night that could be sold or traded >he is weak child so he can't resist unlike his father or mother >he was in shock when he killed his parents so he probably couldn't even scream or call for help >it was a dark barely lit alley so he couldn't even see his face
He killed his parents out of panic. When it was just Bruce he got scared by his eyes and ran off. Sounds like a superstitious and cowardly thing to do.
In Morrison's run it was because he reminded him of his own dead son, that was probably a reference to an older existing story but I don't know which one.
Haven't more people died indirectly due to Bruce than have been directly saved by Batman? If anything Gotham would have been spared more pain and misery had Bruce been shot along with his parents
>Thomas and Martha Wayne killed = Bruce Wayne Batman (Canon) >Bruce Wayne killed = Thomas Wayne Batman and Martha Wayne Joker (Flashpoint) >Everyone Survives = Perchance to Dream, Batman Unburied, several comics
We need comics exploring the other alternatives >Thomas and Bruce Wayne killed = Martha Wayne Batman? Starts an oprhanage to help children? She runs a Birds of Prey female team? Remarries and has other children? >Martha and Bruce Wayne killed = Thomas Wayne Batman, but even more unhinged and just kills all criminals? Takes over the city with his company and becomes a corporate overlord? Turns into a crime boss? >Martha Wayne killed = Thomas Wayne Batman and Bruce Wayne Robin? Thomas Wayne acts like Old Bruce in Batman Beyond? Starts a Batman army? Or he just sits around drinking and guilting Bruce into being a better Batman? >Thomas Wayne killed = Martha and Bruce mother-son duo like Black Cat and Kitten? She just sits around drinking and guilting Bruce into being a better Batman? Remarries but it's like Maroni or Falcone and Bruce has to wage a secret war against his stepdad? >Thomas, Martha and Bruce killed = Joe Chill Batman?
Why he didnt kill Bruce? I mean, an in-universe reason.
Because he knew that Bruce would be a pussy and wouldn't kill the Joker
No reason to do it

Bruce's eyes scared him.

He read the script and knew he wasn't supposed to.
As opposed to reading the script, realizing the kid becomes batman, and shooting him as a result
In Morrison's run it was because he reminded him of his own dead son, that was probably a reference to an older existing story but I don't know which one.
What in-universe reason is there to shoot some kid?
What if he shot the kid instead?
This happened in the Flashpoint timeline and it made Bruce's dad become batman.
He saved less than millions
He indirectly caused Batman to create Joker which indirectly killed millions.
So the death of Bruce's parents are the reason why joker and many other villains exist?
Just the Joker since that was directly Batman pushing him into a vat of chemicals, various others would have happened anyway
What if Red Hood went on to kill a ton of people anyway after he learned his wife died?
Haven't more people died indirectly due to Bruce than have been directly saved by Batman? If anything Gotham would have been spared more pain and misery had Bruce been shot along with his parents
By bringing about a vigilante that passively generates mass murderers wherever he goes?
This is the same logic as saying violent video games makes people shoot up schools.
To mug threeions
Who's to say he didn't create Batman on purpose?

>Thomas, Martha and Bruce killed = Joe Chill Batman?
Joe chill is possesed by the ''bat'' demon who tried to control Bruce.
He morphs into a giant Bat and is cursed to hunt down his kind ala demon.
Remember, Gotham is cursed by witches. Take notes DC!
Kevin Conroy voiced Joe Chill in this, what a weird thing to think about.
