I just watched Moana and it kinda threw me. Tamatoa seemed like a fun character, but he drops those two lines and just moves on from it. Thought it was weird.
Theres this animated show called Kulipari: Army of Frogs and the villain is this scorpion warlord who mentions he ate his younger siblings when they hatched so its weird that there i now know of two cartoon invertebrates who just cannibilize their weaker relatives
It's implied he was a lot smaller last time he fought Maui, he cant fit out the entrance to his cave anymore.
They never give it a throw away line or anything though, thought it was weird.
