they told him it was adoption papers
considering he was a dumb kid with barely any schooling it'd be pretty easy to trick him

        the white family tricked him?
or his real family tricked him?

The white family did. The whole premise of this family arrangement and of the movie, is that they were adopting him, but it turns out he was never adopted and they had him sign a conservatorship (signing his right to contract over to them) by lying it was required to get him adopted. This is why he made no money from the book or movie about his own life, the parents own contracting rights and arranged both so only they would get paid and not him. They claim this is ok because they have him and the other ‘kids’ in the family $14,000 afterwards

First time I made it and i made it because it’s fricking funny. The movie is narcissistic horseshit, how the frick do you decide to make up that story out of what actually happened

One of the most ridiculous “white lady solves racism” movies of all time was actually a story about a white couple tricking a homeless black kid into being their slave. This meme is going to be timeless.

There was a "report" on it on NPR yesterday. Do I have to say anything more?

It’s because Michael Oher is literally suing the family over this contract, not because some ‘leftist’ organization you pay more attention to than actual reality reported on it

Why do white people love this movies anyway. You dont see chinese making movies about how much they love black people and then giving said movie all the awards.

White westerners in unbased areas feel inferior to the black man.

Sounds like the real story got the Stand And Deliver treatment. IRL, Escalante never taught an entire class of illiterate cholos to pass the AP Calculus exam. He cherry picked the smart students and had only 2 students ever pass it. Or the story A Time To Kill is based on was a black man raping and killing two white girls and the father did nothing at all. By the time it gets to the screen its two Klan members raping and killing a black girl and the black father getting revenge by killing the rapists. israelites wrote all those faux narratives to support diversity.
