What? I'm just saying you're a newbie to anime (and probably this website too) if it's the first time you've ever heard of summer wars

Black person nobody has seen all of anime. OP made a reccy, I took it, all is right with the world.
Though to be fair 2009 is a red flag for me.

it unfortunately becomes generic anime cringe after the first episode. I just pretended it was a movie with a sequel bait ending

Disagree. Child actress chick is my new waifu.
And Director guy is literally me.
            It's like Cinemaphile the anime.

I dropped after 5 mins into this. Probably the worst anime I have ever seen and this comes from a guy who loves boku no pico. Gen z tastes are such a garbage.

Belle is 10/10 for me. Makoto Shinkai and Mamoru Hosoda absolutely dominating animation the last 20 years.

For me it is Mirai no Mirai. Love the weirdness and imperfections with all the characters. It made me reflect on how certain events in our lives shape who we become and effect major decisions in our lives. The ending where they are floating and seeing those major milestones was my favorite part. Also the soundtrack is phenomenal.

I don't know how others feel about it, but I think its a really touching movie that isn't afraid to show dysfunction in our lives. It felt very human. I also appreciated Wolf Children for a similar approach.

Belle returns to the artistry from Utena, which is highlited in the Bachelorette AMV. The scene where she is unmasked makes me cry and I don't know anything else that does nor do I really even know why.

More family friendly shoujo romance/scifi "prestige" anime. Just like every single anime movie released since spirited away came out.
