      Mike Stoklasa is dumb.

they are comedy shows you pathetic morons
you think they actually care about reviewing
you think it's a coincidence they NEVER give scores?

        >Thinking score matters when they literally say whether they recommend it or not

          Anonymous

Even if they gave scores, why do you feel they force you to follow their advice? They are obviously making comedy shows; they even have story-driven sketches in their half in the bag reviews you monumental moron; it's not an academic study on the quality of a film.

Besides: nobody should follow any ONE's review; opinions are like buttholes and rarely will you agree with anyone; the best middle ground is to go with something like imdb's popular score but even that can be limited.

One of other favorite reviewers is YMS (the "dog fricker") and I almost NEVER agree with his tastes especially because he is too elitist with popular movies; but he has interesting alternative insights; likewise RLM's taste isn't the best (they are almost the opposite by overrating a lot of normie garbage) but they can be fun to watch as a pass time.

I kind of agree with him on that Escape From NY is a movie people remember as better than it is, because people love Snake Plisken. The whole middle of that movie is just kind of boring.

Now look at that sad sack of shit on the right. The regret and sorrow of a man dying slowly on the inside. Wishing he can get the last 20 years of his life back.

He's a Star Trek fan. Like in the sense that he actually thinks Star Trek is a vision of the world "as it should be", and not a slightly cooky Sci-fi show from the 60's, where the Scotsman has a silly accent. Those people are all delusional crypto-commies.

        Anonymous

If you can sincerely watch Star Trek and not think it's reflecting a definite political/social ideology, you are literally too dumb to be allowed the privilege of living in civil society. Roddenberry fricking hammers you over the head with it and you're STILL too fricking stupid to see what he's getting at.

          Anonymous

Oh, it is. It's just that Roddenberry was a screwball, who was about two steps removed from L Ron Hubbard. You can enjoy his work, because it's enjoyable, but it's not the picture of a future that is realistically attainable, and maybe it's not even one we want to attain.

jesus why do you morons even care about their politics?
I've only ever watched the plinkett reviews for entertainment, no mention of politics in them. Why do you care so much what some sartirical star wars reviewers think about politics? It's like you think you have to be friends with these guys.

Politics comes up in other videos, not Plinkett reviews. I have friends from all across the political spectrum (except far, far left), I was merely interested if Mike had gone that direction since I'd stopped watching - in the videos. I couldn't give a frick less what any of them post elsewhere.

        >Because he voted for Bush and feels guilty about it.

Funny, you could argue the modern left formed as a response to GWB and the Iraq War. The dominate liberalism of the 90's was Clinton style "third way" politics. It never repudiated the Republicans in the way that is done now, instead saying that the Clintons were better Republicans than the actual Republicans. As such, coming from such a mindset it wouldn't be too shocking if democrats voted for Bush since he too seemed not that different from Clinton.

it's actually impressive that Mike not only gave the definitive critique on the prequels and ruined Lucas' credibility forever, but also seeded the idea of Abrams directing tthe sequels so star wars could be ruined for the prequelgays just as it was ruined for him.

It is really a lot easier to criticize something than make something. I don't mean that in a 'frick critics' way, I mean it's literally much easier to look at something and deconstruct its flaws and point out what would have worked better or overall structural issues. If you've ever actually tried to do some kind of serious creative project involving a team of people and countless man hours of work, criticizing the same sort of stuff is like a vacation. All the brainstorming and ideas, none of the having to sit down and sort this shit out.
