It's such a shame Aaron Eckhart's career never really went anywhere. He should have at least been the go-to-guy for romantic comedies or something. The new Hugh Grant if you will.
I would've loved to see a version of Harvey Dent that is necrotizing and spewing saliva out of his cheeks with every sentence but you can't get too gross with a pg-13. The best they could've done is have his face bandaged up. Sadly I think they did the best they could given those constraints.
moron. That level of burns and the body area burned can cause immeasurable pain in anyfuckingone,no matter the tolerance for pain the person might have
My biggest gripe with Nolan's trilogy.
Wants "realistic" capeshit so Gotham is just New York and you don't have any supernatural shit, no Wonder Woman and no more outrageous/anime characters like Harley Quinn, but he then does this shit or Bane.
he was a midget with short arms that we are actually supposed to believe hes this muscular giant that dwarfs the already tall batman. also i saw his dick in bronson. cant take the guy seriously.
Eh, the movie shows he's muscular but he's not portrayed as especially tall. He's not even a particularly good fighter. Bruce is just a broken man at this point.
>so Gotham is just New York
BB actually had some effort in many places to give Gotham a look, especially the slums island Arkham Asylum. The Wayne railway gives this vague art deco look that should've been more complemented by the surrounding architecture, but watching TDK or Rises right after is just jarring in this regard.
dont know if thats practical but looks CGI as shit
is there even blood in the stupid nolan movies? do people even kiss or hug? hes su fucking autistic
BB also has characters with more emotion and sentimentality (at times) than just peril, existential sadness, etc.
Also bear in mind that he leaves the hospital in the afternoon and falls off the building the very same night.
It's not like there was enough time for infections to set in and kill him - as they inevitably would have given his state.
truth is this shit always looks bad, breaking bad also made it look silly. however in robocop and terminator this type stuff didnt look silly so i blame the newer generation of shitty fx "artists".
That's the normal presentation for most of his films after 2008, it's fucked. The dumbest creative decision any director has made and hardly anyone ever talks about it.
I never thought this looked goofy.
I guess I just chalked it up to being stylized but there's nothing else really like in the trilogy so it stands out, I guess.
Can he see out of that eye?
It would be extremely painful

wasn't he a raging alcoholic or something?
Patrick Wilson took his career.
This is the moment the movie turned silly.
I thought it became silly when a guy was running around in a bat costume and his enemy was a circus clown.
>Ditching the capeslop
If those movies had just been about a rich guy becoming a realistic ninja-assassin to seek revenge... Kino
this is the redditor i was talking you about
kek
nolan is the most reddit director out there
Just rewatched TDK yesterday for the first time in over a decade. Man, that is nowhere near as good as I remember.
Not the assload of school buses politely waiting for Joker's own school bus to exit the bank wall it just crashed through?
You really don't get much of a look at the goofy CGI outside of a couple scenes thankfully.
Nolan usually keeps it on the good side of his face.

In their defense though it was a pretty memorable look at least.
if it's realism you want,he would've died of a mass infection and would've suffered from immeasurable pain before that
He's in the hospital for a couple days. Not long enough to die from sepsis.
And Dent isn't a pussy so pain is no issue.
moron. That level of burns and the body area burned can cause immeasurable pain in anyfuckingone,no matter the tolerance for pain the person might have
t. woman or beta
brainlet retard
We're talking the level of pain that overrides your conscious actions and just shuts down your motor cortex
That's probably why he's so pissed off for the rest of the movie.
This anon gets it. It may not be obvious on your first watch, but when you think about it it really makes sense.
They did say they initially went for a more realistic look but it was way too explicit and off putting so they cheesed it up
My biggest gripe with Nolan's trilogy.

what's so bad about Bane?
he's super strong because he lifts and he's invulnerable to pain because he's huffing fentanyl all day
The whole plane scene.
Hothead detected
For you
he was a midget with short arms that we are actually supposed to believe hes this muscular giant that dwarfs the already tall batman. also i saw his dick in bronson. cant take the guy seriously.

>a scene so kino it inspired 10 years of memes
nah
>so Gotham is just New York

>the slums island Arkham Asylum is on
BB established uniquely 'Gotham-esque' architecture in the Narrows and the Wayne Monorail and then destroys them at the end of the same film lol
>but he then does this shit or Bane.
There's a lot of steps between Bane and Two Face and actual magic like Wonder Woman.
He should have been missing the eyeball.
Also bear in mind that he leaves the hospital in the afternoon and falls off the building the very same night.

Nolan is a hack. One of the most overrated directors ever
>A Batman movie is slightly silly?! Why I never!
truth is this shit always looks bad, breaking bad also made it look silly. however in robocop and terminator this type stuff didnt look silly so i blame the newer generation of shitty fx "artists".
Did I just torrent a bad copy or does the aspect ratio in The Dark Knight shift between 16:9 and Widescreen like every 3 minutes for you guys too?
Anything in 21:9 was shot in IMAX
16:9 is standard cameras
Lots of movies from that era were like that for some reason
That's the normal presentation for most of his films after 2008, it's fucked. The dumbest creative decision any director has made and hardly anyone ever talks about it.
how come the eye was not burned as well?
Realism was a mistake.
I never thought this looked goofy.
