How was he not cancelled for having Hood pull a killing joke on Tigra? They definitely aren't going to adapt this scene for the mcu version of secret invasion.
This is true, that one scene with the Hood was like a snapshot of Tigra's whole career, but even by 2009 when it happened, the industry and fandom had changed enough that it provoked a lot more backlash than any earlier story about Tigra being a loser who gets dominated by supervillains ever did, and Marvel reacted with an arc of Avengers: The Initiative that tried to pretend Tigra was a serious badass taking down the Hood and his gang one by one while pregnant with Skrull Hank Pym's baby.
Another reason it pissed people off is that the older stories had her losing to villains that made sense. Kraven goes toe-to-toe with Spider-Man, Molecule Man is a FF villain, and Graviton once killed an entire Thunderbolts team by himself. Jigsaw and Hood are normal guys, and Tigra had no reason not to smack them through a wall.

Plenty of normal humans can give Wolverine a run for his money because he doesn't have enhanced physicality outside his healing factor. Tigra versus Wolverine would logically end like Wolverine versus Molly Hayes.

Yeah, but the I was making is that Wolverine is mostly a normal dude with a couple of tricks while Tigra is much more powerful. Hood taking down Tigra by unleashing a bunch of eldritch shit while ambushing her would have been a logical win for him, he and Jigsaw smacking her around like she's a cheap hooker was not.

He found a magic cloak AND boots. It got retconned later that the cloak was a Dormammu-infused object. It also lets him shoot magic bullets, see through illusions and kind of trick people into seeing something else.
They could have made him look a bit more grungy. He's too clean. The cape is supposed to be this eldritch artifact millions of years old created by an evil god for evil purposes. This looks like he picked it off the shelf at Forever21.
He was fine when he was first made, but I'll always associate him with that era of Bendis stealing everyone else's pet characters and projects and running them into the ground. Hood, Sentry, Scarlet Witch, JMS' Asgard on Earth, the entire DnA Cosmic universe... it's like he was going on a deliberately spiteful tear for a while there.
