Thousands of alienated young female psychologists are going to see themselves reflected in Harleen and attempt to imitate her. There are going to be mass fangirlings of asylum inmates. Theaters are banning jester costumes and pigtails, and some refuse to show the movie altogether. The Batfamily is preparing to stand by at theaters near military bases. This is a risk we cannot afford to take, no matter how many standing ovations the film receives.
I think she can pull off Harley in terms of appearance, MAYBE, but Harley is definitely a sex symbol to a pretty big portion of nerds, so if they are trying to create a sex symbol out of Gaga and Gaga's rendition of Harley, I don't think that's going to work.
