It's something about the way they are filmed now I think you look at a movie like Fellowship of the Ring and it's filmed totally different from modern movies. Same with any star wars movie before the Sequels.
you have conditioned yourself to hating everything automatically. You don't see what is in front of you. You can't evaluate whether it's good or not. You see something new - you say it's shit. Like a chinese room. You're literally NPC.
the same thing happened with football jerseys or new buildings or casts for new film/show. EVERY time something new comes - people hate it no matter what and they all spout the same prepogrammed responses.
you could see people saying >this guy would've been perfect for the role
and the whole internet agrees. Then they cast him and everyone hates it LOL. Think about it and try breaking the programming. It will free you.
you're angry. That's good. Dissonance starts kicking it. You're on a good path. Now try remembering when was the last time you liked a new football jersey. You were probably a kid and it was probably AC Milan from 02/03 season. Try recapturing the joy of not hating everything mindlessly. This shit is pure.

yes, psychology is still a joke
because it's ephemeral, and a product of it's time and culture, it will always be a popularity contest masquerading as something more
Not only that, you'd think a coping demon of his kind would have no issue getting his point across in a sentence or two.
Instead he needs an entire blog.
>you have conditioned yourself to hating everything automatically
I still like the one or two good movies that come out once in a while, if you don't notice the obvious drop in effort/quality and wanting to make something great instead of cheap shit for money and moral points you're either a moron or a shill
you would call picrel uninspired and shit if it was released in 2022.

btw this is a great pic because people always complain about medieval or quasi medieval shows and movies having bland and grayish palette >why do israeli producers think everything was grey in medieval times?
and they always say it should look like OP's picrel. But now it literally does and they still hate it. Funny, innit.

peak denial or good bait.
The cgi is easier to do if theyre wearing basic 1 to 1.5 layers. It's all israeli de-evolution tactics at the end of the day though.
I think that makes a lot of sense, obviously comparing LOTR with the shitty TV show in the OP isn't really fair to that show, since the people involved in the LOTR were actually professional and talented, but layering clothing and armor really adds a lot to a costume IMHO.
Check out sam here: no fancy colours, basically just a shirt, sweater and pants, but then he's also carrying the water, the backpack with all sorts of things attached. Even if you know nothing about LOTR, this image alone conveys that clearly the guy is going on a long trip.
Ironically I really noticed the costume power gap in the halo show, It looked really bad, even though the only thing they would have needed to design was military uniforms and big ass armors, all of which were already completed as concept arts and 3d models. But even with 99% of the work done, they were unable to copy that and put it into a TV show without it looking cheap.
>all of which were already completed as concept arts and 3d models.
Not only that. They produced a frickload of costumes and props used in the live-action trailers for Halo 3, ODST, and Reach.

Which reminds me: Newline cinema still holds the right to the movie adaptions, which means the TV show can't legally use locations, sets, music or props from the films from the real lord of the rings.

why would I need a counterargument against a non-argument to begin with? To truly disprove
Why does the costume/set design for every contemporary television series appear so cheap and uninspired? Is it money laundering?
's point YOU would actually have to provide proof of exceptionally well crafted costumes and sets from modern TV shows. Meanwhile I can point to Rome, Battlestar Galactica or the first season of Game of Thrones and compare it to the picture above, Witcher or Halo.
>you could see people saying >>this guy would've been perfect for the role >and the whole internet agrees. Then they cast him and everyone hates it LOL. Think about it and try breaking the programming. It will free you.
Except this has never happened though, disingenuous israelite.
Funny, isn't it?
If OP told me his pic was from the Game of Thrones spin-off, The Wheel of Time, The Witcher or some shit CW show about Medieval fantasy, I would believe it. If he told me it's from a fan made video on youtube, I would believe it too. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if half of the actors in this pic appears on all the shows I said before using the same costumes and saying the same lines, but no one noticed it. That is how generic this shit is right now.
I know what you mean and I cant quite put my finger on it exactly, but theres something about the appearance of the costumes/sets that screams fake. Reminds me of seeing new "distressed" furniture (furniture made in the factory to look well worn).

Here's your Numenor
Lol
the stone wall behind them looks off. Like its got some quality to it that I look at it and immediately think "oh that's foam." The perfect sharp edges dont match the weathered look.
>A negress >Karl Marx >Two OC's
Only Elendil and Isildur are fine, Elendil looks what could had beeen a credible ancestor to Aragorn. But i think they retconned them into being brothers, instead of father-son?
Black person one of the fricking reasons they even "fell" was because they became so prideful from Sauron's lies they enslaved all other tribes of men they came in contact with. And you think they would dare racemix with some dirty harad prostitute?
But her dad was Tar-Palantîr, the king who tried to reform Numenor back into being goody-goodies. Maybe he was woke on interracial marriage with Middle-Earthers having greater amounts of melanin.

Even the "good" numenorians were pretty obsessed with their bloodlines. It just seems extraordinarily unlikely that the King fricked a foreign rando, and then the kid was also in line for the throne.
My instinct, based on HBO being HBO, is that they will change the storyline to her being denied the throne for being half black, instead of it being because shes a woman and Ar-Pharazon is a demon humbling Chad boy.

right even in the lord of the rings, the stewards and kings are still obsessed with the "high blood", they've been obsessed with keeping their bloodlines pure for as long as they've existed
You know what is my problem with black casting in Numenor or as Valeryans in the GoT prequel's case? How the frick black people can be a minority among an ancient race where vast majority of people are Caucasoid looking? How the frick that phenotype appeared among numenoreans?
Numenor had numerous colonies among the Harad coast. It's not far strentch that she's the product of a numenorean colonial nobles going full 30s italian fascist coomer on the native swarty women

The queen is supposed to be the first cousin of Pharazon, too. Maybe her mom wasn't white.
When The mulatto girl was cast as naevia in spartacus she almost made the show unwatchable. I Will try not it go into the show with pre concieved notions But it sure is gonna be hard
This is the armor of a civilisation in steep decline, not even a sliver of the splendor of Numenor left. Yet it's infinitely more regal and good looking.
Man that armor looks cheap. I'll give them points for making people in a pre-modern setting actually wear colorful clothes, but goddamn is that breastplate terrible. I'm going to assume the lady on the left is just wearing a fancy gown and those scales aren't supposed to be protective.
They look like a bunch of peasants, maybe with the village wizard in the middle. Aragorn as Snider looked more royal than these bums, not to mention the men of Gondor.
>Did I ever tell you a out the fall of numenor frodo? The half breeds, the muttlings, the sheboon queens orchestrated by the dark lord's immigration council... Eventually it was too much for the economy to bear, such is the fate of men.
Is this why there isn't any ngubus in the 3rd era? Loss of welfare state made them go back to far ahead?

A dollar doesn't stretch as far anymore because of the diversity tax, but also there's a general antipathy towards creativity now.
minorities instantly ruin the illusion and you see it for the dishonest filmmaking it is.

Why would you even think that?
Just imagine them all one foot taller and at peak human fitness. And fair as ivory, silver and pearls.
Who's the girl on the right?
She looks like the landwhale from Euphoria if she was skinnier and had breasts.
AYOOOOOO WE WUZ
>Tar-Miriel supposed to be paler than a pearl or silver
I hate israelites and their minions with a burning passion
>shitskins
Literally just a single mulatto in that image, the rest are white
that's still too much, the character isn't a mulatto in the book. But of course, it isn't political, right ?
>isn't a mulatto in the book.
Since her mother isn't even in the books, how would you know?
Yes, keep being a wiener sucking homosexual. Numenor isn't your Black person infest city.

Numenor had numerous colonies among the Harad coast. It's not far strentch that she's the product of a numenorean colonial nobles going full 30s italian fascist coomer on the native swarty women
She's described as having flaxen hair and skin like pearls lmao. She isn't supposed to be black.

Al-Pharazon having a son completely misses the point of his desire for immortality, he literally wants to be the last king, forever.
Yeah, when I had a kid, I lost all desire to not age and die.
Oh nononono
It looks like something you'd buy in the Walmart halloween section for $20.
This is the armor of a civilisation in steep decline, not even a sliver of the splendor of Numenor left. Yet it's infinitely more regal and good looking.
The helmet was pure drip.
It looks like utter shite.
Just like every time you look in the mirror ;^)
It looks like a shitty cardboard Roman helmet made by a high-schooler for his history project.
wow it looks terrible. Is that even metal? Looks like it was painted by a five year old.
That's a replica - not the real prop
wow, that looks like shit! lol, what is going on with these expensive productions that look like ass?
I had been led to believe that Numenoreans were 6'6" Chads who were the top that humans ever achieved
Man that armor looks cheap. I'll give them points for making people in a pre-modern setting actually wear colorful clothes, but goddamn is that breastplate terrible. I'm going to assume the lady on the left is just wearing a fancy gown and those scales aren't supposed to be protective.

Wasn't the whole point of LOTR that Tolkien wanted to create a mythology for british people? Why is there a pajeta?
Aren't they supposed to be long lived ubermensch
