Seemed a bit pointless/unnecessary to have that long drawn out sadist scene of him killing someone in the Dahmer series.

      Anonymous

      It was worse than pointless.
Dahmer went out of its way to be "respectful" and not show very much of Dahmer's actual murders or mutilations. It's arguable to what extent that's really respectful vs. sanitizing but anyway that was their stance.
Then for the Gacy scene they completely abandon that philosophy for the sake of a cheap non sequitur thrill of crazy clown man sadistically killing a guy.

The result is, in the context of the series, Gacy seems like much more of a "monster" than Dahmer does. And then, weirdly, in the very next scene we're meant to side with the black neighbor lady when she says that Dahmer is worse. The show treats it like it's obvious. Huh?
Even ignoring that Gacy had a much higher number of murders and more sadistic methods, we just now witnessed the single most explicitly sadistic scene in the entire series, and it wasn't Dahmer. It was Gacy.
Oh but Dahmer is worse. Obviously. You don't hate black people do you?

        Anonymous

I don't think it was respectful at all. There was never a relationship between the deaf dude and Dahmer. The only thing the series ran with to justify that storyline based on facts is that the deaf dude went to the movies with an unnamed friend.

Because Dahmer lived next door to her. He's not a news story like Gacy, it's part of her own experience, so it's more traumatic to her. Of corse she's gonna say something is wotse if she's emotionally involved with it.

Not surprised . Netflix is incredibly annoying with the woke nonsense, pro black pro feminist pro homosexual bullshit that is spoonfed to you in literally every fricking new original show/film they have

My gf watches a lot of it but it's obnoxious. I do like serial killer shit and this one caught my attention but of course I'm sure they ruined it. They will 100% stick with the same actor. The director uses the same handful of actors over and over again in all of his works, both the guy who played dahmer and the guy who played gacy are recurring actors on american horror story (also made by the same person)

I've been into true crime shit for over 10 years and from every case I've looked at the common theme is some coomer shit. Almost all serial killers are gays, trannies or pedophiles. Even the ones that are considered ''straight'' would crossdress.
The conclusion is that looney troons are completely insane and it's not a new thing. Coomers are scum of the earth and the best way to avoid getting killed is avoiding coomers.

In this true crime cinematic universe, the killers need to occasionally interact like they did in real life. Lawrence Bittaker and William Bonin becoming friends in prison and playing cards with Doug Clark. In the UK, Ian Brady interacting with Peter Sutcliffe and Graham Young, and exchanging some letters with John Gacy in America. An entire proper Columbine season set in the 90s.
