Most people hate environmentalists who actually try to do something. They much prefer corporations who say they're doing something.
I'm not sure Harley has ever been an environmentalist either, she's more anti-human and simply likes plants too much.

Solar is actually not all that sustainable, due to 1. the land you need to use for it displaces wildlife, 2. The production of solar panels produces waist, and 3. circling back to wildlife, the reflections form the panels effect birds
comparatively nuclear uses a smaller footprint to produce more energy in the long run with far less of an impact of natural environment.
Frankly speaking, it's unethical to uproot the ecosystem only to serve our won energy needs.

If you actually cared about wanting to reduce pollution you should want nuclear power. Solar panel production also creates toxic waste, its inefficient, it only works while the sun is shining or else requires batteries with more toxic waste and limited lifespans.

And I say this as someone who has 15MW of solar panels on two houses.

            That's only shit writers anon.
In the comics (which went out of their way to retcon that shitty characterization of him), he was more than happy to let his wife think he was dead, and was completely selfless.

His final actions in the BTAS were suicidal altruism, saving batman and then allowing himself to die rather than let batman risk himself to try and save him, because at the end of the day, he wasn't obsessed with his own happiness.

The very same creators also made TNBA and Beyond, which had him as vengeful if not outright evil. Its alright for Freeze to be bitter.

                Anonymous

                Vengeful/Evil?

Some corporate mad scientists tried to kill him and made it clear they viewed him only as something to be vivisected FOR SCIENCE!
He then attempted to kill them and destroy their lab facility, intending to stay behind in the blast: His actions were not wanton villainy here, he was intending to destroy a place of horror that would only clone and murder more people (like himself) and then go down with it as one of those horrors.

Its very, VERY incorrect to characterize him as an evil or selfish character in Batman beyond: Once again, when terry wanted to save him Freeze told him not to bother (as well as having explained earlier to him that he didn't intend to do anymore than destroy the facility. "think Freeze, you'll only cause more pain, more suffering."
"No. I end it. When this goes, I go too."
This dialogue indicates his lack of intent to cause any more harm, merely to end Power's evil.

Nuclear energy production has constant safety issues that don’t go reported, it takes forever to build because of how much safety concerns have to be addressed, the waste placement is also a problem and when something goes wrong it causes huge long term environments problems. You had decades to sell nuclear to people but all you did was be complacent and do next to nothing to win people over and now it’s way too fricking late to try and go full nuclear.

        >Nuclear energy production has constant safety issues that don’t go reported
More people die setting up solar panels than people who have died of radiation

          Anonymous

That’s a cute anecdote about workplace accidents, but it doesn’t change anything about the fact that nuclear energy that is supposed to be “super safe” actually has all kinds of ongoing issues and deficiencies that management keeps hushing and not reporting, everything from failing to meet safety standards to having concrete degradation problems to human prone errors.

            Anonymous

Can you name any important ones?

Also the amount of investment, running costs and security concerns from Nuclear vs the amount of Watts per hour you get out of it, put against literally any other green energy is still astronomically better. Panels are toxic and literally only work half the day on a sunny day. And they produce way more broken toxic shit to dispose off than nuclear foes, which you can seal up and put in an old mine and not have to worry about again.

              >which you can seal up and put in an old mine and not have to worry about again.

You literally have to construct containment units that will last centuries and then hope it doesn’t leak and start contaminating surrounding ground and water. Throwing shit down a mine and forgetting about it is not how it fricking works.

Those containment units are just concrete coffins and nothing short of an apocalyptic event can create serious leakage. And you get only a few tons of waste to deal with out of several years of steadfast energy vs untold hundreds of tons of un-recyclable, leaky chemical shit for solar panels that need to blanket entire landscapes with them to produce the same, and quickly degrade.

                >and nothing short of an apocalyptic event can create serious leakage

Concrete is notorious that it can degrade and crack if it’s not done well enough. And you wouldn’t even know it’s leaking for who knows how long.

                Anonymous

You would know, because the dispoal facilities are checked regularly. People have been working with Nuclear for longer than most green energies have been practical at all.

                >if it’s not done well enough

                Anonymous

The potential danger is way higher with nuclear energy. So when you claim “it’s super duper safe, bro” it’s dishonest because you aren’t at all acknowledging how much is going wrong all the time and can potentially lead to disaster that has massive consequences.

                Anonymous

Again the same with airplane, car, and chemical plants that have constant accidents that are never reported and easy fail safes that can be put in and designs to prevent those dangers just show you wrong. Even those "massive consequences" are manly to us and not nature ironically. But if you want to use homosexual language like "super duper safe bro" then I'll just surrender since I'm taking to an idiot. I'll read your last post if it makes you feel better.

Pretty much all the Gotham City Sirens were played out then became bisexual women with a conscience compared to the male villains of Gotham.
    >Catwoman was just a thief who occasionally flirts with Batman and now has a conscience when it comes to real crime.
    >Harley Quinn can't be the mook crazy henchman who is abused by Joker anymore so has to be independent bisexual woman who is still sorta a bad guy but can't be too bad.
    >Poison Ivy 100% rode the coattails of the Harley Quinn shit because of the bisexual ship and that tweet is pretty much bullshit for ignoring this. Her plant based motivations and environmentalism aren't really pushed or talked about much anymore. So the whole anti-corporationist angle is bullshit.

You can empathize with the goals without agreeing with the methods. "Slavery is bad and should be ended in America" is a good goal. Killing all white people to achieve it is (unfortunately) a bad way to do it.

This was one of the good things about DC Super Hero Girls, they didn't gay around about Ivy being some misunderstood anti-hero. They make her even MORE villainous. If she's melting children its out of character; she took in all the orphaned children of Gotham during the No man's land arc and protected them against the roving bands of various super villains running rampant at the time.

Poison Ivy is crazy, but NORMALLY she reserves most of her vitriol for the actual industrialists and has a soft spot for children, since children are seen by her as too young to be culpable for the sins of adult society.

It's because of different writers, but Ivy's a hypocrite in that regard. She'll defend children who are within her reach but she's perfectly fine with schemes that would kill millions worlwide including children.

Both her and Harley Quinn are serial killers, who murdered people for personal gain, and sometimes just for their own ego and fantasies. What about that was heroic? I bought her comic THIS MONTH and she's murdering every dude she sees with the intention of ending the world, even splits with Harley at the start to commit to it. I was surprised given its an Ivy comic starting in Pride Month that didn't seem interested in pushing her as some moronic lesbian icon.

I'm not sure where this comic is going, I am sure they'll frick it up, and make her some kind of martyr for the 857345384th time, but from that first issue alone, nothing really has changed with Ivy from what I am seeing.
