Doesn't the fat guy get to eat a feast when he wins that thing? I'm talking about the weird masonic ritual when he went to the replica house of the Lumen founder.
they have tokens to buy snacks from a vending machine
plus, i don't think this was in the show but i remember hearing that the company provides innies with a lunch that the outie pre-selects
You know I don't know what's for dinner. You don't know what's for dinner either. And no, before you open that cum receptacle of a maw, that wasn't "the joke". You are simply retarded. Fuck off and get back to work you utterly retarded creature.
>show has a gay character >literally nobody gives a shit and they cast 2 kino actors for the homos >retards on 4china loose their mind
God I hate teenagers so much it's unreal
It's kind of a bizarre scene because iirc not too much before this they were giving Milchick a really hard time and going through it themselves. But then this switch is flipped and they're just havin a good time.
she's probably in a coma when she's not being her innie. she along with most of the other characters are likely just proof of concept for the extent to which severance can alter a person for use of mind control or whatever other nefarious thing the company wants to use the chips for.
>The show was like a week away from completing filming >Striking writers blocked the set so they couldn't finish >If not for that we'd be watching season 2 in a couple of weeks
i really liked S1, but there's absolutely no way S2 can be good if it follows the same characters. The whole first season was waiting for the cat to get out of the bag, and now the cat is out of the bag. The only way S2 can be good is if its about some other part of the Severance setting, and even then I doubt it will be.
I don't see how that's the case. There's still more left to explore, the company is clearly nefarious and might even have their hand in kidnapping or some other plotting. There's still a matter of what the company even really is. And now that there's this bridge between the innies and the outties established things are going to be getting more hectic in season 2. If this was a real company it would only be a matter of time until it came crashing down.. Unless there were really some state level assurances in place - which could be the case for all we know. I'm just saying that there's plenty more to explore.
I'm expecting most of the cliffhanger stuff from the final episode to be quickly made a non-issue in the first episode of the second season so that the innies can return. There are plenty of ways out from what Helly said between Helena styling it out, Cobel being there and the rest of the people from the company. Just say it was fucking performance art or something. Mark's cliffhanger is also prime for being swept under the rug and forgotten about, given how nebulous it was. The end result will be the innies ending up back inside and being punished for their transgressions. After that it can go anywhere.

She genuinely believed that it was Safe and Effective™ and wanted the story of her innie's life to use for the publicity stunt. Sure, she could have tried to fake it, but there are potential issues there. She may have just not wanted to spend eight hours a day doing menial work whilst being aware of it, given her status. There's also the potential that she would fuck up and expose herself and/or contaminate the other innies. She may also have just been outright told by her father that she wasn't allowed to go in there unless she has the procedure, in service of not doing the last thing.
said, Lumon is basically a religion and she is not just a priest but the prophet's apostle. of course she genuinely believes in the process.
Question stands, why would she ACTUALLY go through it.

did they put prosthetics on his face? he looks so much more fucked up in this show than he normally does. is it because the character was in a car crash?
the camera lens changes focal lengths when they switch to the inside. you can notice it when they go down in the elevator. they all look a little off. i'm pretty sure it's intentional

I don't really like british people as an irrational rule but your voice and articulation is incredibly kino. Well written and charming video too, you should have a lot more subscribers
Hope you're aware that advertising on Cinemaphile is asking for hate though I guess any eyes are better than no eyes
Thanks! And don't worry - I'm pretty thick-skinned. I just regard it as a hobby, but it's always nice to have more eyes on something, and the algorithm rarely smiles on small creators these days.

You didn't think of maybe calling her or something? Retards like you deserve to be miserable.
you're right i'm going to take her out for a dinner, to catch up. the thing that worries me is that we won't have the same effortless chemistry anymore.
I don't care, I like to spoonfeed people into the things I enjoy. Maybe he discovers a whole new world. Celeb fakes were my sexual awakening when I was a kid.

here are the faker other works, it's fakes. Good fakes indeed, but still fakes.

The most compelling parts of the show have nothing to do with the mystery box aspect. I just want to see Mark and Helly become a happy couple. Is that too much to ask?
I don't understand.
What's all the rukus in this thread?
what the fuck is an innie?
I don't know what the OP picture is about, since it's not from any Marvel or Disney media.
>inb4 petey is still alive at lumon >inb4 milchik turns on lumon >inb4 ms. cobel was severed the whole time >inb4 mark's brother in law works at lumon >inb4 mark's sister gets severed >inb4 dylan dies >inb4 all the eagans are still alive >inb4 the board are aliens >inb4 mark's wife is not the same person and is a clone >inb4 burt and irving are connected irl >inb4 all innie memories are reset >inb4 kelly gets fired
Which one?
Well, the big reveal is that she's an Eagan and a apparently a typical uncaring rich cunt on the outside, so elements of that personality would obviously come through from her innie.
I saw that, but maybe I’m just too stupid for this show tbh. I don’t get how everyone else was chill and happy just to grind away and yet she had a permanent stick up her ass after supposedly being lobotomízed or whatever.
Presumably people are usually chosen for the program based on the suitability of elements like their personality, with those who'd likely be a problem filtered out. Mark is meek and doesn't want to make waves, Irving similar but in kindly old man form and Dylan is very goal-oriented and focused on the task at hand. Helly on the other hand has an iron will and drive to get what she wants (even at the expense of others), so probably wouldn't have been put in as a "normal" innie. She was allowed in for her PR project, and it near-instantly all started to go wrong as a result.
>tfw want Helly to leave so i can go to her desk and sniff her office shoes
uh Helly, its getting pretty late maybe we should head out.. oh shoot i gotta finish these numbers .. uh ... I'll see you tomorrow!
Why did Cinemaphile hype this show up so much? It hinged on it's mystery and almost nothing gets solved, just cliffhanger sequel bait. the severance concept is really cool but it's hardly explored, instead trying to gauge interest in big mysteries and shit.
Nope. Not comparable, Twin Peaks is a whole ensemble of wacky and interesting characters with a lot going on. Severance was like 20% limited, wacky characters, 10% melodrama, 70% mystery and world building.
The mystery stuff takes a backseat towards the end of the season in favor of the innies' struggle to communicate with the outside world. I'm not eager for more because I simply must know what it is Lumon is doing. If anything, that's one of the least interesting parts. I'm more invested in the characters and smaller mysteries like Ms. Casey's nature. You watched the show wrong, sorry.
As an innie I've never experienced the joy of eating food
surely they eat something during the 8 hour shift?
did you see any of the eating in the show? I don't remember any but maybe they did, like when Walken's character retires
The egg bar is coveted as fuck
oh yeah I forgot about the waffle party
Doesn't the fat guy get to eat a feast when he wins that thing? I'm talking about the weird masonic ritual when he went to the replica house of the Lumen founder.
yeah the waffle party
There's a specialized vending machine that they are given tokens for, plus the occasional party like the melon bar, egg bar, and the waffle party.
they have tokens to buy snacks from a vending machine
plus, i don't think this was in the show but i remember hearing that the company provides innies with a lunch that the outie pre-selects
they eat sandwiches in the middle of the work day.
As an innie I've never jerked off before, I do it when I can at work.
I hope my normal self can help recoup all the energy drain for the next day...
Innie used to mean something else. Same as simp. I'd say more but common decency says I should be tight-lipped about this
You know I don't know what's for dinner. You don't know what's for dinner either. And no, before you open that cum receptacle of a maw, that wasn't "the joke". You are simply retarded. Fuck off and get back to work you utterly retarded creature.
what would be the political implications of innie heiress rape?
Ah you think dinner is your ally? You merely try to adopt my dinner. I was born for it, molded by it.
Hopefully u, bb
helly we're innies. we will never ever eat dinner.
Me bashing your face into the wall and chili.
Your pussy and asshole
Great premise and acting.
They didn't know what to do with the premise though, the script was shite and the entire show went nowhere.
I thought Netflix was bad, but there is absolutely nothing on Apple+ worth watching.
It was fine, they definitely should have wrapped it up though.
the idea of severance is interesting then they went full reddit with the gay shit and the goat room
I think more of Lost than Reddit when I think of the writing, I don't trust the show.
>show has a gay character
>literally nobody gives a shit and they cast 2 kino actors for the homos
>retards on 4china loose their mind
God I hate teenagers so much it's unreal
There were a hundred nonstop threads every day about how great this show was. They're just mad since there's no new season.
I think the season finale also works as an ending to the show. There is no real point to continuing it without ruining it.
Unfortunately it is not the ending to the show
Damn you guys really are contrarian just for the sake of being contrarian. Real pretentious and forceful about it to boot.

most of them haven't heard music before
What a fucking slut
i still want to know wtf is up with his wife
release the next season already dammit
I'll be real with all of you, I did NOT see that twist coming
I only "saw it coming" as one of many potential twists. It was nice, not too obvious and not trying too hard to be unpredictable.
she's probably in a coma when she's not being her innie. she along with most of the other characters are likely just proof of concept for the extent to which severance can alter a person for use of mind control or whatever other nefarious thing the company wants to use the chips for.
her outie recorded videos and attended a reception.
He's talking about Ms. Casey, not Helly.

I hope season 2 will be the last so the story actually gets an ending.
I SAID, SOMEONE POST THE BOOBA BOSS
Why would she go through the actual process?
publicity stunt
Question stands, why would she ACTUALLY go through it.
as
said, Lumon is basically a religion and she is not just a priest but the prophet's apostle. of course she genuinely believes in the process.
She genuinely believed that it was Safe and Effective™ and wanted the story of her innie's life to use for the publicity stunt. honestly seems pretty accurate besides Patricia Arquette being less fat and wrinkly than she actually is
I'm going to watch Too Late (2015) because Dichen Lachman is some kind of stripper/hooker in it. I have never seen Severance.
Shitty mystery box show. Did it get canned yet?

Literally what was her problem? She seemed incessantly butthurt for no conceivable good reason at all. Kinda off putting tbh.
